Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Really looking forward to getting my ass out Shadowmoon Valley and back in the Wandering Isle, as a good Panda Monk should! Also, artifact weapons looking dope, and dungeons with crazy cool mechanics, and 10 more levels to satisfy my leveling greed, and new mounts, and freaking Dalaran and GAAAAAAAH!

The return of class/spec identity is amazing. Although carrying blind weed, vanishing powder was a pain, it made me feel like a rogue. The artifacts and spes redesigns seems to be embracing the feel of the older systems without the tedium of grinding specifc items to be functional. Assassination looking like the top rogue spec is also a huge selling point. It's been my main spec since WotLK made it viable in PvE

I'm most looking forward to the artifact quests and playing through the expansion with my artifact and upgrading it as I go along. I think artifact weapons are one of the best ideas being added in Legion.

I am mainly looking forward to the enhanced class flavour and class related missions/quests.

Fond memories will always be related to raiding, MoP was when I was most active and ToT is one of my favourite raids to date! As a mistweaver I enjoyed the challenge of fights such as Magaera, Tortos and Iron Qon where I had to squeeze every drop of AoE healing I could muster!

Never tanked progression before, looking forward to tanking next expansion on a DH. Will be fun to learn both the class/tanking at the same time.

I am very excited to experience what Legion has to offer, especially the new pvp honor system and the improvement of class fantasies. What I am skeptical about is the ability pruning involved with the upgrading of each class. I think that it may make PvP less fun as eventually a fight would involve two dps classes just dpsing each other down brainlessly. Nevertheless, I think that based on what we've seen of Legion so far outweighs the tiny cons that may be involved.

So excited about Legion, I'm really eagerly waiting.

I'm looking forward for the new artifacts system and the demon hunters off course.

Good evening everyone! The most fantastic and beautifull thing will be the new trasmo system that will let me empty the banks and take all the objects I've always wanted to collect. Have a nice evening!

I would love to just be able to test survival hunter. I play one now PvE and I am excited to see the new play style. I am excited for the professions and seeing how they are going to be. Melee hunter? yes please.

I quit playing hunter when they went ranged and my interest became very passive for the game in general. I got back into it for MoP and again in WoD. When I heard news of melee hunter, I went back to hunter, took up survival, even though it is the most unwanted spec in raids and such. Played him hardcore to get as much as I could get done on him.

I haven't played WoW before WoD, but I love every part of it. I liked the PvE mechanics and that every class has its benefits. What I look forward to in Legion is the update animations. I mean, have you seen that blade dance?! Its beautiful. What I also look forward to is the wardrobe, since one of the best things in WoW, imo, is getting those sets that make your character look awesome!

Looking forward to know more about events and places described in the War of the Ancients trilogy and the Chronicles book: what happened to Suramar, Black Hook, Aegwynn's Guardian Sanctum, how N'Zoth made Neltharion go crazy, the last empowered titan watcher Odyn, Helya's betrayal, more about the ascended Vrykul and the Val'kyr, that we are finally going to meet Xavius in The Nightmare, and more about the wonderful tauren lore.

I also expect a N'Zoth raid in a future content patch, since his resting place is very, very near where the Broken Isles are. When Gul'dan raised the Tomb of Sargeras, he might have raised something more.

And finally, hopefully and unfortunately for Azeroth, I'd wish to meet Sargeras himself, and fight him, even if he is in an avatar form.

I liked WoW right from the start. The most exiting part of Legion for me:

Raiding the new instances with my friends.

The new artifact weapons they look so cool they are a great opportunity for my rogue and the Classes in General.

The new Transmog system my bank will be thankful.

My best moment in WoW standing in front of Illidan seeing him for the first time i will never forget that Karazhan was cool too.

I'm really excited for Legion, but I've been excited for every WoW update.  Wow is a huge part of my life, so I'm just really happy when updates roll in.

As far as particular game play I'm most excited about is to learn some more lore about the beginnings of Azeroth, and of course raiding, because the fondest memories I have in wow are of smashing face into big bosses for hours on end with 19 friends!

Well I'm mostly looking forward to seeing the new content and how it will be implemented, leveling system, and instances, demon hunters ofc, also can't wait to see how story progresses from this point on and appearance of important lore characters that went missing *wink* and how devastating the legion will be this time 3rd time is the charm I guess...

Super excited to get my pally out of his garrison and out into the world again. Also smiting evil with Ashbringer will be a treat!

Looking forward to trying out the diablo-esque bounty like system as well! I think Azeroth will feel alive again with all of this open world content.

I'm very excited for the new Demon Hunter class because I would like to play something I've never played before and it will allow me to play and learn to master something new in the game.

Im looking forward to the artifacts the most, they seem so much more interesting then plain old weapons. WoW has been a huge part of my life since i came out and i love knowing that blizzard cares about the players. My best moment had to be PVP in BC, so much healing as a holy pally.

I have only been playing for a few months, but I absolutely love this game. I enjoy spending many hours playing on my enhancement shaman every day and can't wait to get my hands on the Doomhammer in Legion!

Honestly i'm looking forward to two things in legion.

1. PVP system

The idea of having prestige's and making a long grind worthwhile makes me feel that there's something to gain while being bored, so you'll always have a goal. Especially with the new arena's pvp will continue to be refreshing

2. Ability Pruning
most people that have given their opinion have been negative about this... I for one want to see with my own eyes how bad it really is... how it feels... I think this actually has the potential to make combat more active and really focus's dmg dealers on doing dmg instead of surviving, tanks on tanking, and healers on healing. In vanilla there weren't many skills either, but for some reason it felt more difficult than (at least dmg) it is now. i hope this will bring it back... but like i said.. i have no idea, it might be very bad after but at least i want to experience it asap!

history:
What I liked in the history of wow is how the Lore-questing has been increasing since wrath of the lich king, rather than grinding quests with little lore in it.

I've also enjoyed the way that raids have evolved in terms of bossfights, I do not like the trash changes, nor the lack of attunement quests. but I guess this won't return to the old ways.

also the pvp system in Vanilla that granted me the title of Knight-lieutenant is still one of my favourite titles.

The daily island of Quel'danas is still very much my favourite... the architecture, the open area's with the music and the mobs were just great to farm daily!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
