Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

When I was in Highschool when the game first launched, I didn't know anything about Warcraft. On my breaks I would read up on the different classes from the RTS games and I realized all I wanted to play as was a Demon Hunter. With Legion coming, the ability to play as one, finally, after all these years, has me the most excited. A favorite Warcraft memory of mine is the crazy misadventures that happen during this lull between expansions. People are bored and want to go nuts, be it with random world PvP, crazy world boss farming, or doing dungeons over and over again for a shiny. It's a magical time for sure, and it always makes me nostalgic. Also thank you guys at Icy-Veins for always being my go-to for Warcraft strats and make ups. You all have made it so easy to get right back into this game we all hold dear. Happy Anniversary.

I'm looking forward mainly toward how the story will unfold in Legion and what will be next after the Legion's imminent defeat. Along with that what will happen to our artifacts after such a powerful enemy is struck down for the time being. Very exciting!

Along with the Demon Hunters too, I've never been excited to play a class like this ever!

I played WoW for the first time in Wrath of the Lich King and liked it very much, I hope more story is put into this game as it seems an exciting climax is coming with the Legion, Old Gods, well, many powerful forces coming at one time.

As you see, I love the lore. :D

The artifact weapons are certainly interesting and I'm looking forward to testing out many different specs. As a primarily PVE player I'm especially looking forward to challenge dungeons. From what I've seen and read about so far there seem to be many improvements throughout including animations, environments, etc. Having beta access would also allow me to test and decide which class I'm going to main in Legion as well

Long time lurker here :)

The thing I guess I'm looking forward to the most with Legion is the class specific quests, artifacts etc. which introduces a stronger emphasis on class identity. This is something I've felt have not been present much over the last couple of years. Warlocks had the green fire quest in MoP but other than that there really hasn't been much content iconic to the specific class played since Vanilla. Farming the Pristine Black Diamond in order to get my Charger on my paladin in Vanilla was a pain, sure. But boy did it feel good when you finally had the mount (even though you sometimes couldn't mount it right after combat due to its mana cost lol).

My favorite moment has to be when the vanilla beta ended. Infernals and Doomguards invading Stormwind, and the endless masses of people trying to defend the major cities. (ultimately failing) The joy I felt when my lvl 35 paladin finally got a single hit off on one of the invading Infernals. (it was all misses, parries, dodges etc.). Feeling you contributed in the defense of the city was so satisfying :)

Really looking forward to the unique artifact abilities they're adding. Being able to do things like rip portals in the fabric of space/time certainly sounds exciting.

Nothing more has to be said about this expansion other than the fact that the Lich King is back!!!! And we get to (somewhat) work with him. Going to be an amazing expansion!

Don't think I've been this excited for a new xpac since wotlk event started! Can't wait to see the new artifact quest lines! The new PvP system looks really cool (being a mount farmer) live the chance to unlock new mounts from PvP! Two birds one stone I say. I play 11 alts so can't wait to see all the changes to all my characters. Like the new changes to disc priest, looks to be challenging and really interesting. Crossing my fingers hoping for a Beta Key! Thanks for the giveaway! :-)

I'm pretty excited to see how the new PVP system will turn out and what the new class will do to the class hierarchy in pvp. The new lore and dungeons are intriguing as well and I hope the game feels better compared to when Warlords was released. Artifact weapons also seem very fun, although some of the weapon designs for classes such as rogue and warrior seem lack luster, hopefully they will be changed into something more epic feeling considering these are suppose to be very strong and epic weapons after all!

It's hard to pin down just one thing I'm excited about. From the class changes to discovering artifacts to all-new PvE and PvP to delving deep into the lore, there's just so much to look forward to and I can't wait to get started.

One of my fondest memories from the past was earning the realm-first kill of the Lich King. It's hard to recapture that magic when you and your friends are buzzing on adrenaline and basking in the glow of a feat well performed, but I have high hopes that Legion's going to deliver.

The thing I'm looking forward too the most is the dungeons. Something I feel Blizzard has been lacking is the relevance of dungeons. Back in BC dungeons were what you did, and you did them for a long time before raiding. Even in between raids you were doing dungeons. I want that small, organized group dealing with a difficult dungeon back. Even in Cataclysm the dungeons were difficult, challenging, but a ton of fun. They then got nerfed, and then they just became repetitive and boring. Legion looks promising for dungeon relevance, and the fact that they are releasing so many right away gives me hope that they will patch in more dungeons a long the way. Don't get me wrong, I love raiding. Raiding wasn't really something I did until WoD, and I enjoyed it immensely. But having difficult dungeons back, and enjoying them with my close friends is what I'm really looking forward too in Legion.

Keen to finally play a proper summoner spec (Demonology) especially in PvP. The instant Dreadstalker with longer demon duration PvP talent and the felhunter PvP talent will be really fun to play with to play around with

I'm feeling hopeful about Legion and mild interest is turning into a wild hype. Most of all, I look forward for the atmosphere and feeling of the old. I'm super interested to see the story continue and to uncover all the new lore - first Chronicle volume made me all stoked up about it. Besides all this, I want to see all new raids, new bosses and play with my friends.

Probably I'm hoping in vain, but I hope the Legion will finally give me the feeling I had pre-MoP. It felt truly Warcraft, an adventure with friends and thousands of strangers. My fondest memories hail from that time, especially from Wrath of the Lich King and The Burning Crusade but to some extent, also Cataclysm.

Killing the Lich King was one of the best moments in my whole gaming history. However, when Northrend was added to the game gives me way more warmer feelings and chills than that though. First time going to that massive continent, to fight against the Scourge - it was amazing.

What I am most excited for in Legion is the artifact weapon system. It'll give me something to do outside of just raiding instead of simply sitting around inside my garrison on my bum, also, progressively scaling weapons seem like a really cool idea.

The memory I am fondest of in this game were the first time I logged in. Everything looked awesome, impressive, and it gripped me the second I first set my foot inside it. Everywhere I looked there were something new and interesting to look at or experience. The feeling I got then haven't even been trumped on my first boss kills.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
