Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Honestly, there are a lot of things im looking forward to. I can barely list them. Some are new quests, new lore, new abilites, a new start on PVE, god the new dungeons look amazing. I cant wait to start raiding again. Dont even get me started about the new battle pets!!! But besides all this and more, i think the thing im looking forward to most in Legion is all of my friends and guildies coming back to play the game. Its so lonely when i log on and its just me and one other person. I miss having 20+ people to do things with and to enjoy WoW with. But as this expansion came to an end, more and more people are busy with life and other things and so they have left. So So SO SOSO SO SO many of my friends have told me that they are waiting for Legion. And what is WoW if not an MMORPG, and what is an MMORPG without massive amounts of people? So that is what i am waiting for.

I can't wait to try the new demonology and discipline specs. I started raiding in WoD with Demonology, and was the first spec to actually catch my attention and hold it for a long period of time. I just hope it will be competitive enough when Legion comes out.

I'm looking forward to new Prot Warr, Havoc DH and the awesome master of Demons that is Demonology.  PVP not being so heavily tied to gear is a pleasant change if they have done it correctly.

Looking forward to progress some new bosses like always. Hopefully we wont get another orc instance... SoO, Brf and HfC in far to many in a short amount of time.....................

One thing I'm really hope they get right is the world, after playing on private servers(mostly vanilla) i've come to realize how much I miss running around doing shit in the world. No more garrison 90% afk bullshit please ;S

I always like raiding but I want to play an mmo with a real world!!

Hey! I'm very excited about Legion, I do have a few concerns though, so I really hope I'll be able to get in there and help test the to make both the PvE and PvP as balanced as possible, I'm in a somewhat casual mythic guild, we're 9/13 currently, I'm also a huge pvper, I've been around the 2k area, so I'm not amazing but I feel like I have a decent concept about PvP. I'd say my main excitement for Legion is The Feral changes, I've been waiting a long time to get back to the good old bleed based days, I'm extremely excited for the new arena's and PvP honor system, I feel like removing gear is what we needed, it makes it too hard for newer players to get into PvP, thus getting turned off. I feel like my biggest concern about Legion is the removal of utility spells, I feel like utilizing those spells separate a good player from a great player. WIthout those spells, it'll feel like who''s pressing there damage buttons quicker and I feel like for new players and old players, it'll get boring quick, but that's why we need beta testers, to go in and out and find out what's enjoyable and competitive, while being easy to watch and enjoy, as I'm sure we all want WoW to become a viewer friendly game. Thank you, hoping to get into the beta, but I'm just happy we're making our way into the beta in general!

I'm looking forward to, as I always have, the PvE content. Experiencing all the new boss fights and mechanics and especially the raids. The first time you kill a boss is what I've always loved about WoW. Back in vanilla with my first raiding guild I remember we killed Lucifron for the very first time the same day, actually only a few hours after I reached level 60 for the first time. That was a great experience and a few months later we killed Ragnaros. So finding a guild and beating the end game raids with them is what I'm looking forward to. Happy demon hunting!

Can't wait to try out the new Survival Hunter spec in PvP and Enhancement Shammy. Fondest memory was getting the trinket from Heroic Saurfang on my feral druid in ICC 25 man!

I have been wanting to play a Demon Hunter ever since Warcraft 3 and then Blizzard teased me with them in the Burning Crusade. Also the artifact stuff and basically all of the new things from attack animations and quests has me really hyped.

I have been playing WoW off and on since 2004. Made a lot of friends along the way and lost some to illness. Recently got back in since I found out about Legion and I cannot wait to make some more epic memories with my old friends and new ones.

I am really excited for the new Legion expansion. I started playing WoW when Mist of Pandaria came out, and I am really happy for the new PVP balancing, and the scenery, and the prestige system. I only played WoW alone because other friends didn't want to spend the money, but I had a really fun time meeting new people the moments I played bgs, and I was never good at the game, but I loved just watching all the pretty colors exploding when everyone was in one spot in the bgs :D.

Illidan was and will be my favorite personality in World of Warcraft. I have started playing Wow because of his storyline back in Burning Crusade. And I was pretty sure that he would be back at some point. I think Legion will be like a "welcome back" journey for me :D .

The thing I am most looking forward to in legion is the class redesigns. It is really promising to see the changes to absorbs and, hopefully, healer balance in general.

One of my fondest memories in World of Warcraft is back when I was a fairly new player. I was on my human priest getting ready to go into Naxx (the level 80 version) and was standing next to the summoning stone. A blood elf paladin comes up and is standing next to the summoning stone with PvP turned on. I noticed all these other horde characters standing around. I cast mind control on the paladin, ran him off the edge, he died, and I jumped into the instance to clear my PvP flag. In all fairness, he was a paladin and could have just bubbled :D

BTW, I wanted to add that I really enjoy having Icy Veins' as a resource. I play a lot of alts and I constantly reference the class guides when choosing builds and stat weights.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
