Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to seeing pets come back to the MM hunter spec. All MM hunters currently use lone wolf not because they hate pets, but because it has the bet DPS output for raiding. Can't wait to get my pet back in legion!

My fondest and worst memory of all WoW time has to be camping spirit beasts >.<

I'm really looking forward to the artifacts weapons, imo it feels like a great addition to a somewhat stale game. I'm hoping the artifacts and the pvp levling will breathe some life into the game. Besides that everything looks really good in legion, new animations, great looking dungeons and leveling zones. Theres almost nothing i'm not excited about in legion #legionhypetrain!

I've got alot of fond memories of wow and picking my favorite from 10 years of playing is very hard. But on the top of my mind i've got to say its my first Karazhan run which really stands out. The raid itself is beautifull packed with alot of lore and exctiing boss fights while having a touch of humor was an amazing time in my wow "career" running around instant pyroblasting like a scrub lord. I look back at that memory with a smile on my face. And i doubt i will ever forget that time! =)

The one thing I can remember fondly about my history with World of Warcraft was just exploring the zones. I remember my first time ever logging into wow and just being in awe of how HUGE the game was. unbound exploration. I first tried this game on a trial account I made a druid back in Vanilla. I needed help with a quest so i asked someone in general chat and a lv 60 dwarf paladin came to help me. I remember me in my tattered clothing as a night elf and this tiny dwarf on this shining glorious mount shows up and one shots the entire mob. At that moment I knew i was hooked. I re-rolled a paladin and never looked back.

As i got more into the game I started to join groups for random activities exploring more and more of the World of Warcraft, My first expedition out of the friendly zones was with a group of about 30 people who wanted to go raid the cross roads and invited all the low levels to join( i think i was around lv 12). On our way there we got ganked by a lv 60 mage who took out our entire group. I thought he was the best mage in wow, I was naive at the time and didnt understand a lot about the game , the leader of our group had a few lv 60's from his guild come in to help us make it to crossroads, I remember not being able to sleep that night from all the excitment. Looking back on those memories , I am hoping that legion will bring some of that nostalgia back.

The one thing I am looking forward to most is the return of Illidan, He was my first end game raid boss kill , I remember the feeling of joining together with friends to take  down the demon and the comradery I felt with my fellow guild members. I know I myself watched the cinematic for burning crusade over and over, and each time got goosebumps. But with Legion I think there will be a redemption story for this torn soul and that excites me. He is one of my favourite characters in wow lore and extremely misunderstood. Also we get to enter the emerald nightmare to bestow some justice and it will give us some big glimpses into the emerald dream a zone in which the wow community has been interested in since launch..Plus im always excited to try out a new class, it adds a but of refreshment and diversity to the game I have loved for over 11 years. Plus the graphical updates with every expansion are beautiful, the game is looking the best it ever has and i'm extremely excited to explore these new zones with everything turned up high and the music volume blasted at 100%.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of the new zones. Even if some of the content hasn't been the best recently, the zones are always amazing!

I am really looking forward to see the development on the black dragonflight story. What happened to Ebyssius, and even more to watch first hand the meeting between Wrathion and Ebyssius, will they reunite/rebuild the Black dragonflight, or will they fight for the leadership of this possibly new dragon tribe. Since the Wrathion quest line in MoP was my favorite so far, I am really excited for this part of the story. You gotta love the lore :)

As a warlock player, all new design changes for demonology are interesting and all other specs too.

Another thing is the artifactsystem, i think it will be a temporarily revival of an extended talent system and that sounds great.

Legion as a story content could be a good opportunity to come back to the real plot.

I started WoW with burning crusade and still find ways to enjoy this game, i hope legion can continue this.

My english is a bit rusty, hope you can understand what I mean.

I'm really excited for Legion and the wardrobe feature. I have been collecting mass amounts of t-mog gear since the release in cata. The class changes look fantastic! The artifact weapons look amazing and am really happy to see them flood us with them. I really like the Prot warrior and pally flails! I've played since Vanilla and have been hooked ever since. PvE is more my focus but in Legion I will be excited to try out the new Honor system. I love the warrior changes and some (not all) the artifact weapons. The animations look flawless on all three specs. I especially love the shoulder check we do when we interrupt and charge. I have been playing a warrior since Vanilla and am really excited to check them out in Legion.

Hey, I am really hyped for the new Expansion already. The long-awaited housing flashed me even over the lack of initial content in wod. Nothing since classic was for me more epic then the lvl 3 Garrison Upgrade Video :). And now with the long awaited double jump ... Oh I mean Demon Hunter there is really  s0000 much to explore.

My Wish for the Future is that Legion explores crafting a bit more. Don't misunderstand me. Crafting in WOD is good but I feel like something is missing. Still can't put my finger on it. :)

I am looking most forward to the changes they are making to prot pallies.  I am loving what I am seeing right now with the spell changes and potential play style. Also, lets take a second a notice the flail skin for the artifact weapon!

Personally, I'm most excited for class halls. Do you KNOW what 5 rogues can do when coordinated? You think the Burning Legion is the threat...

I've been alting mostly this expansion, and I am elated at the efforts Blizzard is doing to really flesh out class identities. I feel alting is going to be more rewarding because we are going to be so much more connected to the class we are playing.

Replay value in alting is going up tremendously. Instead of the same content with different abilities on leveling up alts, there will new, class specific content each time we level a new class to max level (my server is filled with 100s, one of each class).

I normally go into an expansion with one character to focus on in hopes of raiding as soon the first raid opens, but I am so ready to just enjoy and take my time with all my alts.

My favorite time in WoW was during burning crusade. World PvP was still in full swing and there was lots of fun places to fight over. The Isle of Quel'Danas was the source of many battles for my friends and myself, a lot of them against an infamous mage named Doomhandle.

My other favorite place was the elemental plateau. Holding the area so we could farm was always entertaining. One day we had a lot of fun with 1 alliance warlock. We would allow him to farm with us and when other horde would should up we would allow the warlock to defeat them. If the warlock would start losing we would mind control him and top him off to allow him to win the battle.

What I am looking forward to the most is playing this game with my friends again and hoping to enjoy the newly balanced PvP. I hope to create more fun memories like the ones above. I am also very excited to play the new demon hunter class.

The lore!!!! so many big lore characters being heavily involved in the story of legion, moreso than other expansions. Cant wait to see how the story turns out, and who the big boss is at the end of the expansion!

Favourite memory would probably be raiding with my guild back in DS, we had cleared it all on hc and it was just a lot more fun back then (nostalgia's a bitch), felt like my warlock was a lot more fun back then too. Kind of miss the larger talent trees :(

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
