Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking forward to the new mounts in Legion! The models released so far have really impressed me! I really hope they bring back some more natural grinds to obtain them though, most reputation grinds in WoD were just killing certain enemies, but being able to gain rep via dailies would be ideal, and maybe have killing stuff as an option for players who would like to speed up the process. Some of the grinds i enjoyed in the past were The Sha'tari Skyguard, and Netherstorm, something similar to those would have me hooked!

The thing I'm looking forward to most are probably the smaller things like graphic changes, zone differences, new artwork/voicing/boss (raid and dungeon) mechanics. Also super stoked to see how the new Transmog system works (and to see if it still follows their original idea of looking into all past quests or "come across" items and being able to utilize those for Transmog purposes). And just stoked for a new update, really. Who doesn't like a fresh coat of paint (with a damn awesome story)?

I'm super excited to see what the changes will be to Holy Priest and I REALLY hope they will make it just as viable as any other healer, and not gimp it like it was in WoD :( I really enjoy Holy Priest, but it's hard to justify playing it when Disc performs so much better.

I'm quite hyped about Demon Hunters and can't wait to try them - mainly just because I get bored easily.

My fondest memory of WoW is probably getting to lvl 90 on my first character - I had planned to take a screenshot of it after handing in a quest, but incidentally discovered a new area on my way to do so, making me ding and cheating me of my planned SS, lol.

Mostly looking forward to the potential continuation (conclusion?) of lore of a certain character that didn't really appear in WoD at all. Leaving out the details to avoid spoilers, of course! Other than that... Legion will finally have real dragons again (and not those silly two-headed.. things), which is always a plus!

In terms of non-lore related things, the transmogrification wardrobe might even get me to make my characters look pretty. So much less hassle than the old system

I'm actually really glad this is available this early on! I've been watching live streams of the Legion Alpha and I'm really excited to continue playing my Marksman hunter again. I'm really looking forward to trying all the abilities I missed out on, (I never got to play Vanilla WoW, never had a pc that could run WoW/nor afford to purchase a subscription.)

Never before has an expansion truely made me want to try basically every spec there is, I still can't decide on a main for legion. I love the focus on class fantasy as I find it very important and immersive.

As for my favourite memory, hard to say. It's either finally downing hard mode yogg'saron with my brother and friends, the endless runs in Karazhan, one of the greatest raids along with Ulduar or the bittersweet moment when I first killed Arthas, who was and still is my favourite warcraft character.

Warcraft 3 was the first game I played where I truely payed attention to the story when I was a kid. Thus began a lust for lore and stories in warcraft and other games, I also own the epic weapons frostmourne replica as a memento of all this. =)

I have only been playing WoW for just over a year now and I have been loving it ever since. I am really excited for the new artifact weapons, class halls, and the changes they have made to the warlock specs. Legion just looks really awesome all together.

I've played druid ever since I can remember, I'm really excited to try out the new Balance mechanics, from what I can see from alpha videos the overhaul is really looking good! Obviously pumped for the artifacts (duh).

So excited to get more into Titan and Old God lore! Gonna bring me back to my days of playing in vanilla messing around with the shifting sands :)

Completely excited for the new lore this will bring. Absolutely love Illidan as a character and cant wait to see what he does here! Dont want to throw any spoilers, but Im super excited to see some characters we've met in the past be integrated back into the game!! That and of course the Rogue rework! Cant wait to use the improved Shadow Dance and use that badass shadow magic with the Subtlety spec!

Completely hyped for this expansion. I am a very visual person, and as much as mechanics are important I cannot wait to explore. From what I've seen so far I cannot wait to play and am eagerly waiting for everything Legion has to bring.

There's a lot im looking forward to in legion (pretty much everything haha) But I think what im mostly looking forward to is the new raids and dungeons. From what I've seen they look amazing, especially some of the boss mechanics are just so different. I have lots of fond memories in WoW, but to pick one I'd say when I finally defeated Garrosh with my guild last expansion, It was my first raid where I actually got ahead of the curve for an end boss, the other raids we werent quite quick enough finishing so it was an amazing experience to share with my guild.

I can't wait for the artifact weapons as they seem like bringing back old talents but in a new way Especially the Arms Warriors changes coming. Can't wait to try them out I also enjoyed raiding with friends in the past as well as the adventures through WotLK and Cata

I really have curiosity for the new follower system Legion will bring, althought i did like some parts of the garrisons, it's true that there were moments when it was annoying. The artifacts weapon looks really interesting and i can't wait to equip my paladin with the legendary Ashbringer.

I knew someday we will go to the Broken Island, but i though it was going to be just a zone like Vashj'ir was in Cataclysm, and not the continent treatment that is going to get in Legion.

The new PvP System seens very good, love that no longer equipment will be a barrier for new people in PvP.

As for the PvE, i really hope Blizzard don't do the same thing they do with WoD, really just 3 raids, and one of them was disappointing (I'm talking to you Highmaul), Hellfire Citadel was good, but had some "Meh" moments, Blackrock Foundry was the best of the 3, really good raid, awesome boss fight, outstanding OST, and epic final battle with Blackhand.

Draenor had amazing questline and leveling experience overall, so i hope Legion follow the same scheme but make it more replayable, so level other characters would be actually fun :).

Have high expectations for Legion.

I'm really excited to finally take down Gul'dan in Suramar, as well as the changes to Demo locks, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with destro. My best moment in WoW would be when I killed heroic blackhand 1 day before the AOTC achievement was removed. It was my goal to kill every boss on at least heroic this expansion, and I was so happy when I finally managed to get him down.

I am so looking forward to the class halls. I think it will be a great way to get to know others that are playing the same class and exchange ideas

I love WoW and am looking forward to Artifact weapons and the new Demon Hunter class. I remember fondly making the new Death Knight class when it first came out and am hopeful that Demon Hunter feels just as powerful and fun.

I would have to say that I'm looking forward to the wardrobe in Legion. This will free up so much space in my bags and bank. Also the pvp prestige system is looking really cool

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
