Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

This site helped me out so much shifting from a Disco Healer to a Shadow Priest.I'm looking forward to the revamp of Discipline the most. Sounds like a cop out but I feel like the dps to hps is something Blizzard has tried to do before and I'm hoping they finally nail it.

I've been playing since just before the weather patch (1.10).  I still remember like it was yesterday walking out of Stormwind into a rainstorm, then heading to Ironforge to see the snow! I have so many memories from this game, that first epic piece of gear, the Ony attunement, endless material farming, naively right clicking on that blood of heroes in EPL... Now I am certainly looking forward to the Artifact system as well as the Class Order Halls, all while making new memories that will keep this game near and dear to my heart..

I'm really looking forward to Legion not only for the exciting gameplay changes and artifact weapons, but also lore-wise - I can't wait to see what has happened to the Tomb of Sargeras - and, finally, hopefully, to know more about whats going on with Sargeras himself... because although he is a super-villain, perhaps the strongest, he is shrouded in a good deal of mystery - was his avatar his real body? was it the only one, or one of multiple? why was it gone when Gul'dan went there?... These are questions that I've had for a looong time, and it's amazing that the Legion may further develop them.

One of my most precious WoW memories was in Warlords. I remember playing the legendary questline on my main and expecting to see Grommash as a possible final boss, when the plot twist cinematic where Gul'dan shows him Gorehowl and captures him showed up. The scene was extremely surprising and epic and sad. Cinematics have come such a long way in terms of the expressiveness of the faces of the characters - hearing "Garrosh... my.. son" and "Killrog... KILLROG!" for the first time was something that stuck with me, since Grom is a favorite of mine.

Well, overall I love lore and I love lore characters, and I just know Legion will live up to my expectations.

I am ridiculously excited about several things - first off, the new xmog system!  I have like...maaaaybe 16 bag slots free at any time, completely full bank and void storage.  Not having to actually keep all the sluttiest of outfits will be great!  I also can't wait for the new artifact system!!  This whole idea that the classes are going back to having their own flair and flavor, instead of being one big homogenized group, really, really appeals to me!  And not gonna lie, can't wait to play a Demon Hunter!  I haven't really been this psyched for an expansion in a LONG time, and I've been playing since Vanilla.

I cannot wait to try out my new main I will be mythic raiding with in legion. A Demon Hunter. And of course I can't wait to see all of the new artifacts and the lore behind them, especially the shadow priest dagger as I love old god lore. My favourite memory in WoW was finally killing mythic/heroic Garrosh for the first time with my current guild which is the best guild I have ever been in, and hearing our guild leaders reaction when we all gave her the mount for doing such a good job leading. (Killing the Lich King for the first time comes in at a close second. So many great memories.

I'm so hyped for Legion, I'm really excited to try out the new changes to the specs, especially the Surv Hunter. I've been playing Hunter since TBC so it will be nice to be able to melee again. I remember back in TBC when we went through the Dark Portal and stopped the Legion invasion, it was epic and it was awesome to fight demons and I can't wait to do it now again in Legion. I especially remember the different "Invasion Point: "Name" 's. I hope we will see more of them in Legion

WoW has always meant a lot to me through out the years. Warlord of Draenor didn't keep that magical fresh feeling for long. Just looking at the Legion content, I feel it in my very spirit that it will bring our wonderful unique community back, and together.

The thing I look forward to the most in Legion is the immersion, the feeling of every class being fun, and special in it's own way again. With Class Halls we'll get to help out and learn from each other again. I'm not going to lie, there really isn't a thing i'm not looking forward to, or anything that looks bad so far. Blizzard has done amazing!

Favorite thing from the past in WoW, had to be the ease in meeting new people while questing, and learning how each class played differently, and how each person playing bore a different style and personality to the class/spec. Really excited to play come Legion regardless the outcome!

Here's to another 5 years of Icy Veins! <3

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to Legion is that it feels like it's getting back to its roots in terms of the narrative. I loved playing Warcraft I, II, and III and the first few expansion of WoW were very connected to those plot lines. While I enjoyed Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, I think it will feel good to get back to fighting old enemies on our home turf of Azeroth. My favorite memories in WoW are interacting with, or defeating, characters that have a long history in the Warcraft Universe such as Illidan, Arthas, Kael'thas, Deathwing. I'm excited to go up against the classic enemy of Azeroth, the Burning Legion, and its minions.

I am looking forward to being able to explore a new environment and also the new profession things, such as Reaves for Engineering. (It's a thing you put modules in that do different stuff.) In terms of past memories. I think my best one would be riding up and down the Deeprun Tram back in Wrath with some of my friends.

More than thrilled for the PVP changes! As a PVE player who would always love to PVP more, I have always been pushed away by the sheer abusiveness of the current system. Coming in with questing greens only to get nearly one-shot over and over again is not a good feeling, and with the new system, I might feel like I can actually do something in a PVP scenario.

My favorite memory has to come down to when I first started playing back in Wrath, exploring the vast world on my Troll Shaman for the first time.

I'm really into the lore and the story of WoW. I'm more looking forward to what comes next over anything else. All the changes to classes and specs, the transmog system, and the legendary weapons are just a bonus to me!

I'm looking forward to the new combat sounds and animations in Legion. Feral druid changes have me the most excited and hyped. finally getting to duel-wield daggers instead of using a polearm.

I'm really looking forward to all the gameplay changes and all the new artwork.  I have been playing WoW since it was released, at least as much as I could since it has been released, and I'm looking forward to being able to play new content again!  The garrisons were awesome at first, but realizing its flaws, I want to try out the class halls.

Some of my fondest memories in WoW include the various Warlock class quests, particularly the older ones that have been since removed.  I was very new to the game back then and they stuck with me. Also very fond of the green fire quest chain - so many good lore moments. In Legion I'm looking forward to delving more deeply into class lore and identity, especially for my warlock, with the Artifacts

I'm really looking forward to trying out all the changes on my favorite classes, mostly warlock! Of course who doesn't want to go jumping around on their new demon hunter? I've been playing on and off for 8 years and never got the chance to play during an expansion launch. Legion might be my first time experiencing that!

I'm looking forward to the artifact quest lines of several specs, many of them sounds really cool and could be really epic. I'm also excited for the new CM since I have enjoyed WotLK 5-man and the CM in the past 2 expansions the most

It's been years since I played WoW, so I want to be able to play through this new expansion with my brother, who's away at college. It's important to me to be able to spend time with him remotely.

Honestly, I am a fairly new player to WoW. I just got into it around the holidays of last year and I love the game so much. It eats away all my free time in between school and sleep, and it's just such a fun game. I remember being so overwhelmed by the class and spec diversity and quitting for a week because I didn't know which class to level.

I'd have to say my fondest memory was literally the first cutscene for WoD. The trek from 1-90 the first time took me so long and when I finally reached Archmage Khadgar, I was squealing in delight. I felt so accomplished and like my journey was worth all the struggle (admittedly I had alot of fun with 1-90 too). WoD questing was so awesome in comparison to the rest of the game, and I'm so excited to experience and test Legion's questing. I am excited about the artifact weapons and how they add new abilities and change the play style. I am extremely hyped for exploring the beautiful zones because holy guacamole, they are gorgeous with the new view distance. Legion excites me so much as a new player because it will be the first WoW expansion I'll be apart of at launch and it adds so many crazy and awesome features to the game. I seriously cannot wait any longer.

Thanks for the consideration!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
