Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am super excited for Legion. I've been playing WoW for a long time and cant wait for Legion to come out. I'm looking forward to the new revamp on the Demonology spec, the class halls, artifacts, pvp system, new raids, lore, EVERYTHING. One of the best early memories of WoW for me was me a warlock and a rogue friend  were able to outsmart a level 70 Mage during TBC and kill him although we were only level 50 in Elwynn Forest.

I've been playing a hunter since WotLK, Beast Mastery for much of that time, but I have played the other specs too. While I am not a serious raider by any means, I "dabble" in it in a casual way (and that doesn't mean LFR. Legion's changes to hunters are the biggest the game has ever seen. Change can be tough, but I'm pretty curious to see what's in store. We survived the big changeover from mana to focus, after all. Happy anniversary, Icy-Veins, and thanks for all the great work you do.

I am looking forward to the new class of demons, of course.   One of my fondest memories is when my good friend Albidaar made me a Choppa, and I was so thankful I drove us out the sewer pipe of Dalaran, LOL.  Was fun.

I'm playing WoW since the first day of Vanilla, and from day one i was looking foward to the day i would be able to play a Demon Hunter. I'm beyond excited to finally be able to do so.

I'm also looking foward to playing Challenge Mode dungeons. The possibility of having true endgame content that i can play with just a handfull of my closest friends is something i'm waiting for quite some time.

I'm mostly excited to see how well Blizzard has managed to capture the class fantasy and the diversification of the specializations of ALL the classes available to us. I am curious to see how these specializations changes will shape raid compositions and if there will be a more lax approach when it comes to best composition for progression when it comes to mythic raiding across the board from the casual, semi-casual, and hardcore raiding scene. Challenge modes seem AMAZING as well. I can't wait to test my limits in these along with my friends and guildies.  Finally I am actually excited we are now seeing SOME FORM of separation from PvP and PvE as far as class balance goes in these new PvP talents, I really am interested to get in there and test this out as an avid PvE-er most of my career I am actually finally looking to delve deeper into PvP seeing as it is being taken much more seriously now.  In the past I have always loved the detail that went into raid bosses and the thoughtful ideas that are interwoven through the Throne of Thunder raid for example. (probably my favorite raid of all time tied closely with Ulduar. I hope I can get the same vibes as I go through and progress in the upcoming legion raids

I have to say I'm really hyped for demon hunters, the new transmog system, and the fact that hunters will have the option to use melee weapons as their primary means of attacking. However, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glad that the story line isn't focused on orcs. Minus Gul'Dan but we get to kill him so that satisfies that.

I can't wait for Legion because I want to play a Demon Hunter so bad, and because WoD was a little lacking in content, Legion seems a lot more promising in that front.

So far I've seen amazing art, amazing looking zones, artifacts sound really new and exciting, also class halls.

Can't wait to be back in Dalaran, because WotLK was my favorite expansion.

I have hopes that PvP will be improved a lot, and that in PvE we are going to be fighting some awesome demon bosses.

I have been looking forward to the fire mage changes in legion making it a bit less gear independent. Also excited to play around with the new artifact system and hoping it is something that can be improved upon in future expansions.

I am an avid raider long believing WoW has one of the best systems around and had enjoyed tackling the minions in MC when it was cutting edge content all the way to mythic HFC as of late going toe to toe against Mannoroth and others.

WoW has come along way and things will get even better.

Great stuff coming from you guys @ Icy Veins.I'm really hyped for this expansion, as I've been for all the previous ones.I've been playing the game since Vanilla, where I started off as a Orc Male Hunter, and through out the years I've played ALL classes in the game except DK. I've been playing high end PvE and PvP, and the reason I'm extra hyped for this expansion is that it seems like Blizzard is finally taking a drastic change with the PvP talents, which I think will be a huge step for the PvP section - which is also the part of the game I enjoy the most. With this Beta Key I'd spend a lot of time analysing a lot of classes, mostly in PvP to be completely honest, since I'm currently playing most classes in the game above 2500 arena rating, but since I'm also raiding mythic 3 evenings a week, I'm definetly gonna look into that as well. I've never had the opportunity to take part of any Beta, and I can't explain with words how much i'd love to be one of the 200 VERY lucky ones to get this very fine gift from you guys.*Fingers crossed for a early birthday present (16:th of April)*

I really like this game. I would like to try demon hunter and check changes for some classes. My main character is warrior, and I still wanna use my warrior to tank for the incoming raid in Legion.

In addition, I really want to tell my friends that I have a good experience if I have the beta key. I will tell em and summon them back to play wow again.

In Mop my absolute favorite content was the challenge modes! I loved the really fun strategies you could come up with by using items to drastically speed up your runs. Looking forward to Legion, I cannot wait to see how the challenge mode system has been revamped, and I really really hope it can bring the fun back to them! I'd absolutely adore being in the beta this time around to see the new content, and to help squash as many bugs as possible.

I'm really excited for PVP not being tied to gear.  If anyone can PVP and have it be based on skill and somewhat on pvp talents then I'm happy. :)

One of the things I've enjoyed most about World of Warcraft is the social aspect to the game.  I've met great people online who I've played with for years.  When an expansion starts to get stale for some, they leave the game for extended periods of time until a new expansion finds its way online - and they follow.  So I'm looking forward to playing with some old friends again.  Besides that, I am really interested to see how the new mage tweaks are going to play out.

I have so many favorite moments in World of Warcraft, it's extremely difficult to pinpoint it down to just one thing.  From downing epic bosses such as the Lich King after months of wiping, to great guilds and all the fun events that have entailed with them over the years.  If I had to pinpoint one single thing, it would be the lifelong friends i've made during my years of playing the game.  I've known some of these guys for 8 or more years now, and even though we live extremely far apart that doesn't really change anything.

In Legion i'm really looking forward to the release of Demon Hunters.  Ever since I played Warcraft 3 back in elementary school, Illidan was one of my favorite characters.  When WoW was released, I was extremely excited that I might be able to play a demon hunter, but they never got released.  After hearing about their release 10 years later my inner elementary school kid is jumping for joy once again, and I hope blizzard does the class justice.

I am really looking forward to the amazing new zones and storylines. I have seen some videos on YouTube and can't wait to quest in Val'Sharah. The druid theme is beautiful and really proves that WoW is the most epic mmorpg out there. I used to watch my brother play his warlock and the world and social aspect of the game made me really interested in playing the game myself. I started playing a druid and ended up playing a warlock aswell. I still play him till this very day. I've been a hardcore raider in MoP and WoD and just earned the Cutting Edge: Black Gate achievement last sunday. We are now preparing ourselves for Legion.

There are so many aspects of Legion I am looking forward to - amongst which would have to be the quests and achievements that you have to do in order to unlock the different Artifact Weapon model variations. I'm also really eager to see how recipes will work for Professions and to see what will evolve in regards to the plans being unlocked while being able to track down the ones which are still needed. I'm also pumped to see the transmog closet system for gathering all the sexy gear in the game as well.the new PvP system, new PvE raiding content, Legendary items, Class Halls.so many things come to mind, I'm constantly checking IcyVeins and Wowhead for new info. As for old content or a favorable moment in time, the one that jumps out the most is taking down Kael'Thas in Tempest Keep before his nerf. It's one of my favourite encounters and it led into Black Temple which was a very fun raid (with a great soundtrack too.) So much that I am looking forward to with Legion.

Since I haven't been raiding in awhile, I'm looking forward to the new expansion so I can jump back into raiding. I'm also pretty excited about the wardrobe feature as I already have so much space taken up by various pieces of gear. I think this is a great way to give players a lot more transmog options to work with. Really excited about all the new content

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
