Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I can't wait to see how the prestige system works out. I like pvp but i never got really competitive, so the new system will give me something to strive for without getting too serious. Also really looking forward to Artifact weapons, I like the idea of a signature weapon that grows with you, cause many villains and heroes had their signature weapon, adds to the effect that we are a hero of legend.

I've mained heals, mostly priest or shaman, for all of my WoW life and I love to see the way the healing (and to some extent, tanking) game play has evolved through each expansion.  The evolution of things like burst damage and mobility are always fun* to adapt to.

I'm legion I'm especially interested to see the changes to tank passive mitigation and CD availability... and how this effects my precious mana! :D  I'll also be interested to see how this impacts healer communication (in raid situation).

* fun - I think on the balance of everything, gameplay has tended improved between expansions.  Sure some things are more annoying, but others are less.  I'm always interested in seeing changes to gameplay.

I am looking forward to flying my Demon Hunter on the back of a dragon enroute to meet with my fellow guildies, so that we may together annihilate even the Legion's greatest of villians.

One of my favorite aspects of the game is the lore. I've been doing a lot of old dungeons and raids and working on a new toon to get to experience some of the old things I haven't in a long time. I'm excited did all the new lore and use of artifacts to come in legion

I currently excited for all the new content and features coming with Legion. I've always been primarily into PvE, however with the revamp of PvP I may now have more of an interest in that area and will take up even more time that I don't have XDThe new content, from what I've heard and seen looks amazing and I can see myself levelling up to 110 on all 12 of my toons as fast as possible for the Artifact weapons, Doomhammer and The Ashbringer being my favourite so far. I started playing WoW towards to end of Wrath so I got a little flavour of what that was like and I can honestly say Legion looks like it's bringing everything good about WoW back, I thought Draenor could have done that but with the endless grind in the Garrisons I felt more distant than ever which forced me to stop playing due to being bored, however with Legion it's much more friendly and sociable and may finally bring me back to playing full time, as long as uni life doesn't drag me down first

I am really looking forward to discovering Legion's story as well as reconnecting with old friends. My favorite aspect of World of Warcraft has been the social interaction with players from all around the world. There is no better feeling than defeating a tough raid boss and hearing the cheers of your friends from different states and countries in your ear. My favorite memory of Warcraft past would be leading my guild team, which was a ragtag group of casuals, through their first raid (Dragon Soul). We struggled, but persevered (with the help of icy-veins) and on our last night of progression they gave me a Mechano-hog as thanks for leading them. Love that guild and can't wait to play with them again.

New version of Demonology Warlock is something what destroys everything. Flying skull as a Weapon, more demons than BM hunter pets with stampede.      ofc lore is something what interesting me in this expansion too. I have a little hope that Sargeras become Final boss of this expansion( but eventually Illidan can be too  ) And Sylvanas as a Warchief. Finally my most liked female character in warcraft lore will have rightful place in Horde

I've been a long time WoW player and, as anyone does, I tend to get bored a lot in the game. Especially true with Warlords. But Legion really has me intrigued. There are so many changes, if implemented, I could see helping not be bored at end game. I love the artifact system and love the customization of it. The new honor system sounds like a lot of fun as well. There are a ton of things I could talk about Legion that get me excited to play.

Since Blizzcon, all info Blizzard gives to us, caused a lot of hype; all changes, the habilities cut, new class, new map, artifacts. As they do with every expansion, in the begginig we are very happy and excited with new content, but as time pass we felt that blizzard fail. I think this expansion will be different and i wish not have to wait till sept to play it.I'm very hyped with paladin class, retri and holy, and can't wait to test all changes they made in these specs.PvP never call me to prove it, but with the pvp talents off the pve talents and the legacy system, will be very interesting and i will give pvp a try

As a raider, I'm really looking forward to the PvE content in Legion, the dungeons look DOPE so far.

I feel like it's a really ballsy move to make so many prominent class changes, it'll be really interesting to see how it plays out.

Warlords of Draenor has had it flaws, but I've still put tons of game time into it, and I probably will in Legion as well, no matter how it turns out. That being said, I really hope that Blizzard will be able to keep up with content; we've twice now seen a final raid tier last for a year+, I'd hate to see it happen again, even though my guild is still progressing on HFC Mythic. Of course, some periods of downtime are unavoidable.

All of the above pale, however, in comparison to the new transmog system. You can say what you want about the 'Diablofication' of WoW, but this is one of the good ones. Usually I'm not too bad at hoarding, but when it comes to transmog pieces, even I'm feeling the lack of storage space.

Overall, Legion looks pretty neat, and I can't wait to try it out.

Can't wait to find out what's happening to the factions and their "new" leaders in Legion. Also looking forward to the demon hunter and what kind of role Illidan has to play in the expansion, as he kind of fascinated me since I played Warcraft III for the first time when I was a kid and finally beat the campaign to see the duel between him and Arthas. In terms of gameplay it will be great to see these new melee animations, especially for the warrior, as well as the new design of the challenge mode dungeons.

Personally I'm looking forward to the new challenge mode system for dungeons. My fondest memories of each expansion are usually the first month or two when everything is new and shiny and you feel powerful in your dungeon blues. Then that lasts into the first raid because you're still at the peak of the content. Then after that the guild I'm in usually pushes too far too fast and ends up dying, which is always a shame. So the ability to do challenging content with a few people that I enjoy playing with, that will hopefully always be relevant is a big thumbs up from me.

My fondest memory is back in Vanilla WoW is either when I finally got my damned Lightforge Legplates off Baron Rivendare after over 50 runs. It didn't matter that by that point I had the Judgement leggings off Rag, just the sense of accomplishment of finally having 8/8 Lightforge. Either that, or fond memories of swinging the Unstoppable Force (Aka the pig stick) and knocking people off the bridge in AV before they changed the proc to a stun.

Looking forward to the artifact weapons, definitely. And seeing Maiev again, I played the TFT campaign again recently to get hype for Legion. My favourite thing about past WoW would have to be questing in Northrend for the first time and realising just how much further Blizz could take the game. And raiding for the first time with an actual guild, rather than just tagging onto the occasional PuG

Greetings, Would love a key for the beta. I've been looking immensely forward to Legion since they announced it, especially because of the account wide wardrobe - a feature I've wanted for years. Also really, REALLY excited for the new PvP/Honor systems and the revamped Challenge modes. So far the expansion looks awesome, they just really need to revert some of the massive pruning going on

Thanks Icy veins for the quality guides and excellent work over the years!

Keep it up, the years to come will be even better.

What I look forward in Legion is definitely the story. Coming out of WoD the story feels really loosely tied together and lacks weight or real threat towards azeroth as we know it. With Legion and the Legion Invasion, I look forward to a story that makes us feel scared for azeroth and for the characters and people we know and love.

oh, and Dalaran. :P

Personally my favorite aspect of warcraft would be the lore, which is what I'm most excited for in Legion. I think we're beginning to see a shift into a more planned coherent story for the game to follow. Whereas the early game lore was often rounding out stories started in the previous warcraft titles, I think Legion and the expansions after it will have a more clearly structured narrative. The specific thing I'm most looking forward to in Legion is the expanded role class identity will have in the game and exploring the artifact stories of my favorite speccs and seeing how those individual stories tie into the larger overarching story

I'm looking forward the new prestige system and all the PVP changes. I really want to play with my Holy Priest again because the last time holy was good in pvp was in MOP. The best memories I have in wow was when i was learning how to pvp and did my first arenas and bgs. Also, I really hope Legion will save wow

I'm extremely excited to play a Demon Hunter in Legion. I've always enjoyed playing a mobile DPS, Hunter has been a lot of fun, but I'm thinking I'll make the transition to DH.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
