Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

The thing I'm most looking forward to in Legion is the new demon hunter class. I've always had a fondness for Demon Hunters conceptually, and I've almost always played melee DPS, so it seems like a perfect fit. They seem like a nice mix of fluid movement that monks possess, as well as having quite a potent amount of burst, which has always been really satisfying for me. I'm excited to get my hands on them in either the beta or prepatch so I can feel out how they'll play, and possibly make one my main in Legion

Honestly, I'm legitimately excited for everything about Legion, I haven't seen a single thing I dislike except for maybe Beast Mastery hunters being about an army of pets, I'd prefer that they focus on having their normal pet just be like, uber strong. Legion to me looks like it's going to be the best expansion Blizz has ever released, for any of their games. I liked WotLK and WoD a lot too, but Legion will beat those by miles, imo.

For me its a mix of everything. I'm looking forward to Illidans story. I'm looking forward to all the artifact lore. My main is a DK, and Unholy at that. I cannot wait to go frost though. The theme of the weapons are awesome, and then there's the Demon Hunter. Yes, I will play one. Another aspect are all the new animations. The attack animations rock, the warrior specifically. Charge is so good now. Plus fury animations are tight. My very first char was a NE Warrior who went fury. He's server hopped with me and been leveled every expansion. I've been playing since Vanilla beta, and I havent' stopped yet.  Cannot wait, and would love a beta key.

well i've been playing WoW since early EU beta, and i'm really looking forward the new expansion, since Warlords, for me, was a huge letdownlots of things look promising, class hall and artifact in primis, and of course the new Class. i've been playing a DK as main since it came out and i'm wondering if this Demon Hunter can replace it

I honestly can't wait for all of the new lore coming into the game. With the bringing back of Turalyon and Alleria to all of the new legendary weapon quest lines, it should be an incredible game.

What I'm looking forward to, huh?I gues there is a coulpe of things. I'm kinda huge fan of anime and I love the feeling of progression of a certain character. When you play wow you constantly change your gear and you can't get attached to it. However with artifacts we will have an opportunity to create a bond with our weapon and we will be getting stronger as our artifact gets more power. Just like Ichigo with Zangetsu, if you know what I mean ;PI'm also extremely interested in lore, thats why I really want to know what will happen in Legion. Will we finaly see Sargeras? Where have Alleria and Turalyon been all this time? What will happen to Emerald Dream? I have so many questions and I hope that Legion will give me answers.I will never forget the moment when me and my guildies killed Garrosh 10 Normal for the first time. It was almost 3 years ago and our newly created guild BOROWIKI (Mushrooms translated from polsih :v) was making it's first steps into raiding as well as we did. We were bunch of unexperienced friends who decided that they want to do raids. And so we have cleared every boss to Hellscream after months of progression and when we finally got to Garrosh we wiped at this fight for I think 3 weeks. We were near 110th wipe and when we were about to give up our Shammy healer just said "Ok guys f**k it, we are doing it right now, I'm gonna place my bigass Healing Totem and we will explain this guy's face, so get your butts up and lets kill him." we killed him on this try, and believe me or not I have heared several plates being broken and thrown all over the place on Team Speak 3 This was my first final boss kill

I'm so excited for the Mage changes. I've loved Mage for so many years but I lost that love in WoD. I'm so excited to play her again and hopefully admire her like I once did. I WILL BE FIRE FLAMES

Looking forward to the warlock changes demonology and destruction, greatly appreciated the changes, I can not wait. I am still in doubt between Demonology or Destruction, but both are amazing.  The new models of demons . succubus new model is so hot.   For Legion. For Azeroth. We are prepared.

What I am looking forward to most in Legion is deciding which Warlock spec to play, because the changes and the overall feel to Warlock seems like it will be very different.  My fondest WoW memory would have to be when I completed the quest for my Soul Harvester, and dinged Level 60 at the same time  heheh

Really looking forward to try out warlock changes have been playing one since 07. Excited to try out demonology the most since it'll be hardcore pet based now instead of focusing around meta form. Also excited to try out the new pvp honor system with its pvp only talents cause I've been pvping ever since I started playing WoW

Looking forward to finally get to play as a Demon hunter, also excited for the new challange mode dungeons and how the artifact weapons will work. I'm also excited for the Lore in legion, where it will take us. Will we be fighting Sargeras or are we finally get to know more about N'zoth

I am looking forward to the artifact weapons, after all these years we finally get to fight with amazing and historical weapons from lore. My fondest moment of wow history has to be the moment of watching the Lich Kings health tick from 11% to 10% and feeling the wrath of Frostmorne. Even when you thought you killed the Lich King the King kills you first before you get a chance to kill him. I'm so excited to wield the frostmorne as my own on my death knight. and Heres to 5 more years of Icy Veins and many more.

Looking forward to many things. Artifacts seem interesting, but story/lore has always been #1 for me, so I'm really looking forward to some of the insane lore they are getting into. Especially involving Alleria/Turalyon. Oh, and raiding of course. I loved the initial idea of Garrisons, but I believe they needed to fine tune it. Legion seems to be doing just that.

I love the idea of the classes being more in line with mythos or lore.  This will certainly add a flavor of uniqueness to all the classes and specs.  I'm most excited about the PvP changes that are coming and that Prot will be a viable spec.  I'm hoping for more artifact skins as the expansion continues but love what is out there so far.  I think the druids got the best makeovers of all.

So much to look forward to. I think I'm most looking forward to all of the class changes, warlock especially. Of course I'm looking forward to seeing the demon hunter in action as well.

Personal story time: When I first started playing I was very new to the basics of an mmo and was very uninformed. My first character was a paladin and I thought the most important stat on a piece of gear was armor and that "threat" was something that increased your damage so for the first chunk of my paladin's leveling experience I was running around wearing grey quality gear with righteous fury always active...as a retribution paladin. Embarrassingly it took few quest rewards than I would like to admit that I was finally educated that stats such as strength and attack power increased my damage so that every single fight with a mob wasn't a struggle to keep myself alive. It wasn't until I joined a group that was doing ZulFarrak that someone informed me that I had a tanking ability turned on and what exactly threat was.

It has been many years since then and there have been many changes to both the game and my favorite class, the paladin. What I am looking most forward to in the expansion are the artifact weapons that are going to be available to the paladin class. With my main throughout the expansions being a retribution paladin I am positively giddy at the idea of having direct access to Ashbringer, the grand-daddy of all paladin weapons but am also intrigued with the protection Truthguard and the Big over the shoulder Hammer that holy is getting.

There's a lot of great things coming in legion. I'm excited to try the new demon hunter class, but I'm most excited about the potential of 5 man content. Giving me meaningful progression outside of raids really rejuvenated my desire to play this game. Legions looks like a huge step in the right direction. A lot of things players have wanted for awhile and I can't wait to be part of it all

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
