Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

As is everyone, I'm excited for Artifact weapons and new PVP honor system but most of all, Challenge Mode rifts! I am a fan of Blizzard taking some of their most popular things from their other games and implementing them in WoW.

Class related: I'm so ready for the Holy Paladin changes!

As a Ret Paladin who has been playing since Vanilla, I'm just looking forward to playing Ret and finally being able to wield the Ashbringer.

I can't wait to reroll to a Balance Druid for raiding. I'm a Warrior since Early Wrath of the Lich King all the way to Warlords... And I think is time to reroll a class. So I decide to be a balance druid and I can't wait since this will affect my position as Range than Melee.

I also want to try PvP aswell since it's been a while! So I'll be PvPing and PvEing both in the same character and have fun with the content!

Just like Wrath on WinterGrasp Back Than

I think i'm most looking forward to the new protection paladin changes. reverting to a similar play style to monks, warriors and druids with multiple stacked CD's, key timings needed, and strong self healing will allow the skills of each tank to be much more transferable to paladins than ever before

I honestly can't wait for demon hunters. I have been trying to find a tank class I am really comfortable with because i feel wonky with the other ones so I'm ready to try it out. Also the artifact weapons, but at the same time it kinda bugs me not being able to get new weapons. It was always the hardest thing for me to get for gearing though so its more of a win. i just hope you can transmog them into legendaries

Hey :) cheers to 5 years anniversary, for me, im really excited for upcoming legion updates, especially for pvp - still im pretty sceptic about it so i would be really happy if i could get one of those beta keys to actually test the legion state of the game!

I can't be the only one that feels that raid boss or pvp weapon upgrades are the highlight of the game.  So many misgivings about removing that aspect from the game... Wishing for more of a path of the titans approach.  But well, Blizzard still has all my faith.

I'm extremely excited for Survival Hunters in general, because it looks extremely fun as a whole, and I love being able to use my pets for actual MEANINGFUL DPS, as well as merely looking pretty. In the same vein, I miss being able to use my pets (and my favourite spec, Survival) in raids. I already tricked my raid leader into letting my roll Surv for at least most of the first tier, if not longer.

Also, Wild Quiver. I miss that, it was great.

While I'm excited for most of the things that Legion has to offer, there are a couple things that stand out for me personally:

  • Dalaran as the expansion's main hub. It was a great city in WotLK, and the fact that it's shared between factions means that we'll have more cross-faction (and even within faction) interaction than we have currently, albeit restricted to emotes (or Demonic for Demon Hunters, apparently) in the case of cross-faction communication
  • Suramar: I've been wanting to see that place ever since reading the War of the Ancients Trilogy
  • Azshara: That crazy woman has been hiding beneath the oceans for far too long
  • In fact, just all things lore. Every day towards Legion is a step closer to satisfying my lore hunger..

My fondest memory was actually pretty recent, when I finally managed to find a pug who would let me join the Archimonde Heroic fight without the achievement and without wiping. It was great to finally reenact that scene from the Hobbit where Thranduil rides on his moose, or elk, or whatever (my hunter's name is Thranduil).

Oh, and before I forget: Alleria and Turalyon (Please, Blizzard, end my agony!)

I'm really looking forward to the Artifact system, and seeing how it compares to the epic journeys I've had getting Legendaries so far. I'm also looking forward to learning about the Pillars of Creation and more about the Keepers/Titans. One of my fondest memories is raiding Ulduar, and I'd love to learn more about that branch of lore

I consider myself a fairly new player to wow since I first subbed in MoP and barely raided SoO. I have to say that the part I enjoyed the most were very simply the raid nights with my first guild. We were mostly all IRL friends and simply logging on to go raid Highmaul heroic in the first few weeks with people sitting under 650 Ilvl was definitely really fun. The feeling when downing a boss for the first time after who knows how many attempts and seeing that trinket/weapon drop as well as the laughs and madness from guildies when wiping and chilling.

My biggest hype has to be for professions. I'm looking forward to a lot of things including the changes to pallies, but professions were definitely one of the biggest weakness of WoD in my opinion. Therefore, I'm expecting a lot from blizzard in that sense. I just want to be able to go and farm/craft my things when I log on during dead period or don't feel like spending a few hours in a raid. Professions are a big part of any mmo to me and I'd like to see them be a core part of legion.

(Sorry for the wall, tl;dr best memories are raid night with irl friend & first guild, biggest hype is professions)

Looking forward to testing all of the classes who had abilities pruned, from there I'm going to make a list of them since it's a pretty serious issue brought up by well known streamers like Cdew and others. It's concerned me greatly because I miss what WoW once was, I remember my first time playing when I was the wee age of 10, November 2008. My fondest memory is when I would die with a level 1 and just explore dead, I ended up running on foot ALL THE WAY to Gurubashi Ring, Stranglethorn Vale. I made a Dwarf Hunter, from that day on it, it was set. My adventure in WoW proceeded until I quit in 2013, I still play PTR. It would mean the world to me if I could get a beta key, my love for WoW runs deep, and I will ALWAYS cherish the friends, achievements and memories I've made during my adventure. Also, I'm pretty excited for Artifacts, hyped to test the new Feral Druid artifacts and the new claws for Guardian

There are a lot of things I look forward to in Legion, but mostly it's the frost DK artifact weapons and the new transmog system.I really love playing dw frost and those weapons look really amazing. I will main arcane mage for Legion, but frost DK still have a special place in my heart. The new transmog system seems really nice, and will clear up a LOT of space in my mage's bags and bank. The function to save your outfits will be really appreciated, I change my mogs almost every week. It's really hard to choose my fondest wow memory, I think I have to say all the time I've spent with my guild. We have a really good environment in the guild and I've got friends for life from it. We have a big guild meet every summer and joining this guild must be the best thing I did in my life. All the fun times in RBG's and clearing hc/mythic bosses makes for some really good years in the best guild ever. The only thing I regret is not finding them earlier.

I am really looking forward to the artifact weapons and the new challenge mode system with a keystone. Also i look forward to the new PvP system, which made me consider doing PvP, even though i've always been a PvE-player.  In Warlords of Draenor i was really hyped about the Mythic 5-man dungeons. It is really a great idea Blizzard came up with. I really, really liked that. Hope they're keeping it.

Im really looking forward to, everything actually. Im so hyped for legion, but I would say the most exciting thing is probably the legendary drop system, artifact weapons, the challenge mode dungeons and the leveling process.

Cant wait for Legion to Come out! The new artifact weapons look awesome and i am looking forward to getting my hands on Them. I remember when i started playing WoW i got really frustrated in stranglethorn because i Kept getting killed by raptors but then i got really lucky and a super rare Pet dropped without me realizing it was rare. I wish i could have the same luck now as then and get a Key for the legion beta :)

I've been waiting for demon hunters ever since BC came out and hope they can really deliver on it honestly. The changes to arcane mages look pretty promising, I like how the artifact looks as well as the artifcat traits. But I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out in the end

The thing I'm most excited about is the new class, Demon Hunter. Already have 11 hexweave bags for my DH and its bank, plus I've been saving up some gold for some gear for a head start!! :D   Second thing I'm pumped for is the fact that druids can quad spec. I can finally have two druids instead of four! (Now if only we had more race options) *nudge nudge*

So far, the thing I am the most looking forward to is to see how well the new mix between the usual WoW gameplay we know and all the new Diablo /HoTS/Heartstone elements that are being added in Legion. Treasure Goblins, Adventure Mode, Class borrowing abilities from other Blizzard's games, this might bring some new life into the good ol' recipe we've been getting for the past several years. My fondest WoW memory has to be leveling my first character as a healer in BC, it took so long that I got the chance the experience so much of the world before even hitting max level. Years laters I am still having a blast, exploring the world, looking for secrets, new lores and stories this world has yet to unveil

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
