Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to classes having some character and individuality! It's been far too long since every class had some sort of defining ability or trait and in Legion they've upped to ante to have every SPEC being unique.

Quite frankly, I'm looking forward to getting more raid content, as WoW in general at the moment feels extremely bland having to repeat the same raid for practically a year. As for Legion, disappointed into the over simplifying of tanking in order to draw more people to the role. But on the positive side, the artifact concept is brilliant, the models are marvelous, the talents are awesome and I'm extremely excited to spend hour after hour pumping artifact power into it

I began playing towards the end of Wrath, but didn't make it to end game till Cata. I still remember the first time the guild that I helped start with my best friend got it's first raid completion and I'm hoping that Legion will bring back those good times that I've lost in recent years. I'm really looking forward to the raid and dungeon content coming in Legion and can't wait to roll a Demon Hunter

I can't wait to rock my Prot Pally. Legion is looking to expand on a lot of the positive changes that were made in WoD (despite some of the negative ones), and I am probably most looking forward to the artifact weapons and collecting them on a couple alts.

I am looking forward the class changes and hope the new design is satisfying, but more than anything else, I can't wait to explore the broken isles and discover new lore, new environment and stories.

Feature wise, the wardrobe is a blessing that will empty my full stack bank/void storage of xmog, on all my characters!

I'm really looking forward to all of the class changes. I'm an altoholic so it will be so much fun to go through and learn all of my toons again. Artifact weapons are going to be super cool as well, but the best thing to come from legion is the removal of garrisons. It will be nice to hang out in the main towns and class halls again and not alone in my garrison

I've been watching wow videos and stream for almost a year now, Its always a game i was interested in but never wanted to invest the money in. However since it's my senior year and i'll be out into the world and have a lot of time on my hand i've finally decided that it's time to play WoW and see if the hype is worth it. So here is to hoping for a key so I don't spend nearly $75 just to find out I don't like WoW

Most of all, I'm looking forward to new story content.  WoD didn't quite deliver for me on that account, but Legion looks like it'll be really cool.  My favorite moment in all of WoW was the culmination of the Molten Front questline, when Hamuul shows up, still bandaged, and helps you defeat the women who nearly killed him.  And then that heroic moment is undercut by the next questline, where you learn why Leyara did what she did.

Really looking forward to the class redesigns, I played a Shadow Priest in WoD, most of them are needed. Also liking the artifact weapon that add a second skill tree in that they can use to balance classes better

I am really looking forward to the new pvp system in Legion! I'm hoping it will keep people pvping throughout the expansion. I would really like to see how the talent system and honor system works.

My favorite moment has to be from vanilla when my friend and I were leveling alts. We were around lvl 45 and we were attacked by a warrior with hand of rag. We ended up beating him and he got his friends to come help kill us.

As a player who could never choose ONE main spec or even class to play, the whole artifact system will always give me something to work for. I'm probably not the only person who is looking forward to obtaining every artifact.  Also i am so glad they are giving access to all specs with the click of a button.

I first picked up the game mid cataclysm right before firelands.  my favorite moment from the past has to be racing to level 85 trying to get gear to do join a raid team.  I will forever praise the End Time heroic dungeons that helped gear me so fast.

What I'm really excited for is how fresh they're making the game look in terms of animations and accessibility to cool spells. Not just for new players, but also for veterans such as myself who tends to grow tired of the "same ol', same ol'". The talents getting a revamp is a huge thumbs up for me, seeing as leveling right now isn't as fun, because the talents early on in the game as of this day is more focused on survivability/mobility/control. This can be discouraging to new AND old players, because it doesn't feel as rewarding to level up your character as much as in comparison to the talent's we've seen so far in Legion. I love the feeling of finally getting access to this cool ability (i.e Murder of Crows, Bladestorm), and I bet new players would too.

Also; I'm a HUGE "loremaster", so it'll be good to see Blizzard finally tying up some knots and evolving the story further.

I'm super excited for Legion! biggrin.png

My fondest memory is when I first started raiding in WotLK. I raided normal Icecrown Citadel on a potato of a computer, but I fell in love with end-game content. I am most looking forward to levelling 100-110, trying the new wardrobe system, playing Demon Hunter, and plundering the new dungeons and raids that Legion will bring!

The class i played the most until now in warcraft was priest so the idea of the discipline priest(heals by doing damage) is really making me want to play, its a breath of fresh hair. And off course playing a demon hunter is a thing i will also do

I'm most excited for the artifact weapons and raids in Legion, the artifact weapons are a really cool idea and the raids are probably going to be really great. One of my favorite things in the past would have to be when I first started raiding with my guild. It was something I had never experienced before.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
