Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking forward to the class changes, spell animations, Artifact weapons, and of course, Demon Hunters.)My most memorable moment in my WOW career was deffinitely during my first raid ever, back in ICC.I had won a staff on my warlock that the GM (resto druid) wanted and when i won the roll and the guild told her it was a dps staff, i got kicked and told my DPS wasn't adequate and my gearscore was too low (was above 10k). to this day i don't remember their names or even the guild name, but i remember the guild kinda fell apart after that. It's tragic, but, still memorable.

What I am mostly looking forward to, is playing the new content with friends and family. With this new expansion it would be a fantastic new experience for the WoW community, and I believe it would be bring the community to awe with all this awesome content. It would be even more fantastic if we can experience it early

I'm interested in the new content, raids and dungeons. I hope they don't put "grinding" dailies in this one, it's turning into a "chore" to do all these dailies in the garrison with all my toons. I'd rather go back to "farming" in the world instead of farming in the garrison

I'm honestly looking forward to the Artifact Weapons. Especially Ashbringer I've wanted that weapon since Vanilla. Finally rolled a paladin and got it too 100 for that very reason. Though I'll probably just main my DK, Priest, and Druid

Can't believe it's been only 5 years. Thank you for all the hard work you have all done for the community. You have given so many of us so much help over these years. What I am most excited about in legion will be the updated Druid forms attached to our Artifiact (Stone Bear form FTW) and I hope a secretly hidden fight with the one and only N'Zoth. How can we fight the nightmare and Xavius but not his boss good Ol' N'zoth?.?Also the chance to maybe see some action from a certain "sleeping" Lich King. Thanks again for the past 5 years and here is to many many more.My favourite moment in Warcraft. That would be that day I met one of my best friends outside of WoW. He no longer plays but we are still just as close as we were when I was his Off-Tank and he was my Main Tank. We met by random chance in BC he was looking for an off-tank for Kara and I had never stepped into a raid before. I was nervous as all hell and he guided me through the whole place. He is my closest friend and if Warcraft is what brought us together.

I have been waiting on that part of the game that draws you in, sadly the couple of last expantions have been really exiting for the first few months, then it goes back to meh, its nice but not to spend much more time other than raid/pvp time. I have been really exited for artefact part and how it will interact with you character from the time you get it and forward. And as always i'm really hyped for the lore part

Congrats on 5 years of service. I can't wait to actually play with the Artifact Items and see all the story for my self and how they play. I am also interested what they are going to do with the story and who the final raid boss will be for this expansion and where it is going to go from there.

My journey in WoW began back in 2004. I never imagined that I would still be playing 12 years later in 2016.

I'm super hyped for Legion. As with any expansion, I look forward to gathering with friends to plan our leveling, gearing, and general activities for the first few weeks. I look forward to what new content Icy Veins has to in the way of guides, etc. I'm excited about the class overhauls, and many, many systems changes. I'm excited about the new hero class, demon hunter, too! As a huge fan and participant of Challenge Modes in both MoP and WoD, I can't wait to see what new systems Blizzard has in store for them. Blizzard has some of the best artists in the gaming industry, and I can't wait to see their work in Legion. I always take the time to appreciate their talent in-world with exploring new cities, dungeons, etc. There really are too many reasons to list here. There are so many fundamental changes that are coming from our feedback over the years, and I can't wait to see them. But, suffice to say, I think Legion is going to be one the best expansions Blizzard has released.

Like I said in my opening comments, I can't believe I'm still here. I have grown with WoW. I have graduated, started a business, and purchased a home with WoW. WoW has always been a huge part of my life. That includes all the friends I have made over the years. Many of these friends are now like family. WoW has bought so many memorable moments to my life through leveling, questing, raiding, etc. My most memorable moment in WoW was being the first warlock on the realm to reach level 85 in Cata and discovering I wasn't eligible for the realm first because I had transferred that character to a new B.Net account on the same realm. Ahh.. such is life! Again, I have too many great moments in WoW, and I can't wait to see what Legion brings!

Thanks for taking the time to read my lengthy post. See you all in Legion, and good luck to everyone!

Im really excited for Legion, mixed with worry, i really want this expansion to be the one which kinda starts to make WoW go uphill, hyped about alot of stuff for legion like artifacts and new pvp system, dungeons look nice as well, but i like to appreciate the smaller details, like being able to see further into the distance and(not so small) the new character fighting styles and pattern. one of the most memorable things in WoW was me hitting lvl 60 in BC and thinking I NEED THE PVP 1H SWORD, even when every when advised me not to waste my Honor points, wasnt even 70 but i enchanted that pvp sword thinking i am now unstoppable

I had always the most fun in 5man dungeons and the new ones i have seen so far look great. Especially the  Vault of the wardens dungeon got my attention. The art just looks cool. Furthermore i am looking forward to get my Paladin his Ashbringer. Always wanted it since the old days during Vanilla WoW.  The artifacts are kinda the old talent system, just better looking, i liked them. And the best part of legion is, that we will finally get Demonhunter.

Looking forward to two things in Legion:

  • Demon Hunter - Seems like it will be the most mobile class to hit the game and it was always my favorite hero in WC3.
  • Artifact Weapons - Amazing to think we'll finally have a system similar to what they did with the ring chain in WoD and the fact we'll be able to customize the look to be our very own.

All in all I've always love the warcraft lore and stories, sure itll be great.

Being an altoholic, I am having a really hard time deciding which class to play.  Hoping that I can get an invitation to the beta to try and figure out which class fits my play style the most with all of these awesome changes coming out.  I am also looking to complete as many artifact skin unlocks and challenge modes as I can along with maxing out the pvp prestige on at least one character.

Thinking back the things i'm looking forward to in legion is that classes will be meaningful to the story through the order halls. Also can't wait to use and abuse the transmog system. I'm curious about the professions and want to learn more about them. Oh yeah and challenge mode dungeons look like they will be fun, although I prefer solo content it would be great for playing with my friends. I think my most memorable moment was the very first day I played. I did a little reading before hand and decided to make a run for the city of stormwind to look around. Only when I arrived it was over run with. Imagine me, a little noob experiencing a moment of wanderlust, going into a mmo for the first time, coming to the realization that I got caught up in some sort of undead apocalypse. so much death.   -crawls into a corner-

I'm looking forward the fire spec mage becoming relevant again.  It's a fun spec to play but overlooked majorily because of the dps because of the hot streak and heating up.  I seen some gameplay footage and it looks like there is going to be more balanced.

I've getting the feeling that blizzard is trying to incorporate elements from WotLK.  It's known that it was the best expansion to date and if they can get legion to have what made wrath so great then they will have a major hit again.

I want ot see how they plan to fix the crafting professions.  Professions haven't been fun or even relevant for quite some time, it would be nice for a real upgrade for crafting professions.

New content, always excited for new content.  The class halls are something that I hope will turn into something cool.  Best wow memory might be our server first ultraxion kill, no name guild put on the big boy pants and pushed hard into a new raid.  WoW has managed to forge several friendships for me that will always be there

I'm most looking forward to the new areas to explore, especially the new dungeons. Going back to violet hold looks amazing, all while learning and seeing more of Dalaran. Fondest memories are when i first started the game in BC and exploring every part of the barrens, i loved the barrens it was a beautiful place before that terrible deathwing destroyed it (cries)

Well I really look forward to the Demon hunters and Artifact weapons. And like many people the nostalgia makes me say 'Wrath of the Lich King' was my favourite time in the history of WoW

Im really excited about legion, so much hype. The first thing that i want to test is the new profession system. Im so curious to know how it works. Also, the class changes, class hall order, demon hunter (ofc), new trasmo system, the artifacts and. THE NEW PVP SYSTEM. Mostly, the new pvp system. I started to play back to BC as PvP Player. WoD isnt my favorite expansion at all, so i hope that Legion will be THE REBORN of World of Warcraft.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
