Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really excited for Legion, there are a ton of new features to test out and try. One of my favorites, the new transmog system, will really help free up all the much needed bag space. It's also got me playing a lot more now so I can farm gear for the new system. I think it will be an awesome addition to the game. From the pictures I've seen, the new land looks amazing. Highmountain especially. I can't wait to see them either in beta or on live.  World of Warcraft has always been a huge part of my life. I remember when I first started playing a buddy of mine told me to make a Dwarf pally. I got home, installed the game. And made a Night Elf druid. My friend wanted to level with me and he was already in the dwarf starting area so I walked all the way from the Night Elf starting lands to the Dwarf and gnome one. As a new player I was shocked at how big this land was it must have taken me 2 or 3 hours just to get there because I had to stop and look at everything. I got lost in Stormwind countless times. It seemed so big back then, now I know it like the back of my hand haha. Another great memory while leveling for the first time was being told not to go on that one different boat at the docks because it takes you to a crazy high level area (borren tundra) and of course I went there as a level 30 and started exploring. Many times. But it was fun and the huge iceberg with the penguins made me crack up. World of Warcraft is a great game and deserves to go on for years. This new hearthstone promotion is awesome, I'm seeing so many newcomers and helping them out. Dungeons can be stressful with them but they're learning just like we did when we were noobs haha.

Really excited about a lot coming in legion.  The artifact weapons, the new pvp system.  Alot of the reworked classes are looking like a lot of fun to play.  I have been playing since vanilla and im pretty hyped for this xpac.

New animations, new playstyles and a hope blizzard will make their quote "back to the roots" come true. Wod did a lot of bad things to wow in my opinion, so many that im not willing to count them here so we kinda need to look forward. I just really hope Blizzard moves on in terms of design and character progression but keeps the good things (like questing and story telling) from Wod with legion, so far most things look promising but well. i'd like to see myself

My fondest memories of the past was the sense of discovery in playing WoW for the first time. What i'm looking forward most to in Legion is definitely the upcoming transmog overhaul.

Been playing this game since Vanilla (like a lot of people.) and it has been a big part of my life. as my family can attest.  I'm incredibly excited for the individual spec identity, as I feel like that is something the game has been lacking greatly. I'm actually interested in other classes that never interested me before, like mage and rogue. I am mainly an ele shaman and I'm even looking forward to the changes for them. Congratulations on 5 years, Icy-Veins. I look forward to using you as the go-to on all of the new and improved specs and of course, demon hunters.

I am honestly so hyped for Legion.  I can't wait to try out all the revamped classes! All the new talents, the PvP talent system, and even ANOTHER set of talents with the Artifact weapons just looks so fun to use. I am mostly hyped for PvP. I'm just so ready to try out PvP with all the classes, including Demon Hunter, haha. Here's to hoping I get a beta key biggrin.png, and thanks, Icy Veins, for giving away free beta keys! So generous of you guys.

Excited for the new PVP system.

WoW has always been around for me. My dad has played it since the beginning and when he was at work he would let me run around Elwynn Forest on a lowbie. I loved it! As I got older I didn't care for it. But then I met my fiance. He moved in shortly after we met and we lived with my parents for a short time. Well, the second he found out my dad played WoW they became best friends haha. My dad set up one of his spare computers and paid for him to start an account! Now a few years later we all play together.

I'm mostly looking forward to the class revisions. I can't wait to try the cleric-like holy paladin and the pruned-down enhancement shaman. In some ways I'm also dreading this; as I main rogue, some of the changes are a bit disconcerting.but others are exciting. Just gotta wait and see how it pans out. I've been playing since vanilla beta, so there's been plenty of things I've enjoyed in the past, but especially so my rogue since I made him in Cataclysm. Really hoping to continue the tradition in Legion. Except for the sewer.

I'm most excited for the new hero class the Demon Hunter and the introduction of artifact weapons. They'll both add new and interesting elements into the game. The ability pruning is questionable if it allows new players to ease into the game then I'm all for it. The new honor system is actually something that would make me want to do PvP, this coming from someone who dislikes PvP

I'm hyped up for the general feeling of the Broken Isles, especially coming out of Draenor which was pretty monotonous imo. Most of the dungeons had us fighting orcs, the art style of hm and brf can be summed up with brown, and being on an alternate Draenor just made it feel so throwaway. The Broken Isles looks like it's chopping that up a bit, the variety of enemies are much better, the dungeons look fantastic, and I'm getting a nice Howling Fjord/Grizzly Hills vibe. Pumped to actually jump in and check everything out for myself.

I want to play Legion for many reasons.

I want to finally fight Guldan (been waiting since Warcraft 2). Also I want to wield some legendary weapongs, Like Doomhammer and Ashbringer. I want to understand Illidian plan at the black temple, and fight as one of his demon hunters.

I think my most memorable moment on WoW, was my first character. I wanted to play Wow since Vanilla, but could till burning crusade. I still remember, my first character was a NIght Elf Warrior, I remember my excitment on the first cutscene. I think I just level him to level 10 or 11, before I erase him, still he will be on my memory forever.

And I think Legion will be the best expansion in a while (lorewise, and gameplay), and will get some players back to the game. New honor sistem, artifacts, new class, fight guldan and his legion. What else we can ask.

Well, there is so much to look forward to in the next installment of World of Warcraft and I'm just simply overloaded with excitement. I've been playing WoW since 2007, right as I got an awesome look at the Burning Legion and the Outlands. Easily, one of my favorite expansions, ever. I'm super excited for Legion because it reminds me so much of Legion. I First and foremost, I can't wait for the new Artifacts and Demon Hunter class. I've always adored Illidan and his War Glaives were just so beautiful. I'm glad they're finally making this a playable class. Not only has Blizzard taken the time to make all the weapons look awesome, but they have a detailed tree and you can alter the appearance of each weapon to best suit your liking-- which is great. Being able to express yourself is a must in a game, well, games that I really like anyways. There's also load of new content, exploring, achievements and pets. I love taking in the new zones. I also wouldn't mind getting my hands on those new Fel Bat mounts. Throughout my experience in WoW, I've come across many great moments, but I think some of my best moments were in MoP. I love the new Monk class and that's when our guild really started up. We wanted to be a serious progression guild and we were. It was extremely hard to maintain, but we had a really good run. I'll never forget wipping over, and over on Heroic Dark Animus. We so many times people were starting to give up, but then we finally downed him. One of the hardest bosses I have ever done. So I always look forward to challenges and I hope Blizzard gives us some good ones in Legion. I hope you enjoyed my brief ranting. World of Warcraft has helped me meet many awesome people; people that I met years ago and still enjoy other Blizzard games with today. Thanks for all the awesome work Blizzard, and thank YOU Icy Veins because your site has helped me do my research on many, many classes so that I could do my best all the time. Sincerely, Omiee

From watching FatbossTV, the new dungeons look like they are going to be amazing. Having an April Fools Joke actually made into a major mechanic of a dungeon is really neat

Artifacts, these interest me, i'm looking forward to exploring their potential and raising my own Wardrobe, I'm sold, lets get into the closet.  I've been a heavy mog collector for a long time, happily in vanilla collecting all the ZulGurub gear, for no other reason than collecting it, same for ZulAman. Now, we can mog it on easier and with some style.

Very excited for Legion. I love the new class fantasy focus, as a result I am trying to focus more on the classes that I love for the lore rather than just for the play style. I want to try out the new artifact system and get a feel for what it will be like not having to constantly upgrade a weapon. Additionally, I love what Blizzard is doing with the interchangeability of zones for leveling, I hope this doesn't become a cookie cutter way to get the best gear by doing one zone last, but rather lets you experience all the zones at your own pace. LEGION!

I am really excited for legion, I have been a HARDCORE blizzard fan since warcraft, though I only started playing wow since wrath. The game has evolved so much that looking back seems like decades ago. Icy Veins helped me so much for my first character, my Paladin. I can't wait for my very own Ashbringer. The main thing for me though is DEMON HUNTERS and the fact that illidan is back. Can't wait for you guys to help me once again with my characters

Fondest Memory: Back in Classic my guild (which i'm still in today) and the horde guild were competing for our server first Nefarian kill. To make a long story short, we won by one try, which given that you had to soft reset the instance every so often to get Nefarian to respawn was quite scary. Skip forward to BC - nearly the same thing would've happened again. Just that after we got the first Illidan kill the Horde guild to not repeat the same story again decided to stop for the night.  Looking forward in Legion: All stuff that's added instead of "raid or die"

I'm looking forward to the new raids, and seeing the story, particularly how all the character deaths shake up the world.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
