Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

As a person who primarily raids, I am super excited for all of the new class changes. so far I'm really looking forward to playing on all of my alts and use the cool new artifacts. And of course I'm ready to fly around on a DH :D

My best memory in wow was my first real raid. Me and my brother got into a pug group for ToT for our first time. And it was amazing. Even though the group fell apart at horridon it was still awesome to see this giant temple full of monstrous creatures. I'm hoping the raids in legion will bring back the feelings I got from ToT.

I personally am looking forward to the Artefact weapons in legion however i do believe this might be a problem as they might be the only weapons we get ever again. I can;t wait to get back to the class lore in legion, i feel much of it has gone by the wayside in recent expansions. The Dungeons in legion look like an absolute blast ( except violet hold boring :P ) and im glad they are making them a more important part of the game. The PVP system looks really enjoyable and something i am definitely looking forward to, as a pvper i love the look of the new arena's and the separate talent system looks very interesting and the rewards look cool, i love the look of the pvp rewards, the artefact weapon skins look amazing. I think although the GH wont be my new main they still look interesting and mobility wise they look fun :)

I started playing wow during vanilla i was very young at the time and loved the world, i had previously played Warcraft 1,2 and 3 and was over excited for world of Warcraft, when i first logged in i was stunned at how amazing the game looked, my first ever character was a night elf warrior, and i currently play a human warrior, nightelf druid an a gnome fire mage ( burny burny )  i fell in love with the game and i have been playing since then, Downing legendary bosses such as Illidan, Kael-thas, Ragnaros...twice. Deathwing, Nefarian and Lich king. This is my favourite game of all time, i have put over 10 years into it and i hope to put another 10 :) and should the game ever die out i will be greatly saddened. Some of the best times of my life i have spent in this game meeting people that have touched my life forever.

The thing I am looking forward to most is the class overhauls. It seems like each spec will have a unique feel to it, and that is exciting. The thing I have enjoyed most in the past was probably progressing with my guild in Ulduar.

Pretty hyped for Legion because it's a ton of new stuff and a lot of things I've been waiting to see in WoW for a long time now (PvP talent trees/normalized PvP stats).  My best memory is probably hitting the level cap on my first character, which was pretty satisfying

Definitely looking forward to Class Halls and Dalaran 2.0. I've been deprived of "Social Hangout" locations ever since Old Org and Dalaran in Wotlk!

I'm looking forward to Legion and excited for the changes they have made for the rogue. I have mained a combat rogue since Vanilla so I am a little hesitant for the change. I'm also looking forward to the new raids and dungeon modes

I'm really excited to see Demon Hunters and where my main class, Warrior, goes. I remember being an awestruck 13 year old when WoW first released and discovering the demon hunter in Azshara for the first time. I love the new artifact system and seeing how they revamped professions. My favorite memory in WoW was my first raid of Karazhan. My guild was stuck on Curator for the longest time and when we finally downed him it was a smooth sailing from there

I've just finally made an account here, but I have kept up with Icy Veins for guides for a quite a bit of time. Honestly, your website has tremendously helped me when it came to starting out WoW. Honestly, I started World of Warcraft kind of late. I started in Warlords of Draenor, and although many people criticize the expansion (and rightfully so), I still enjoy the game a lot. I particularly enjoy PvP. But leveling up, Icy Veins was one of the first websites I came across to help me with World of Warcraft, and it was also really cool to find out that you guys had Hearthstone section on here too because that is a game I frequently play too.

So as for Legion, I'm looking forward to a lot. I love lore a lot. I can't tell you how much time I've spent on Youtube nerding out to lore videos. One of the strong points of this game is the vast amount of lore. So with this expansion, I'm excited to get a fresh taste of the lore, and hopefully with many new features along the way. And the overhaul of the PvP system is so hype. I'm so happy that they're making talents for PvP separate and they are getting rid of "PvP only" armor and the improvements of the classes. And jesus christ, finally they update the boomkin model! The new honor system, talent system and leveling system should breathe some new air into PvP combat. Other than that, I just see a lot of potential with this expansion, and I really hope it brings WoW back to its prime because I unfortunately joined the party a bit late. The idea of Illidan coming back, being able to wield lore famous weapons, and just the overall better distinction of class AND specialization. Can't wait to join my fellow monks in the class order hall and maybe try some of that double-jumping demon hunter! The new raids look really fun too, especially the Emerald Nightmare one where we'll get to fight Xavius. The Valhalla inspired dungeon looks really great too and I'm curious to see how they make dungeons more relevant in the next expansion. Even the website that shows the Legion significant characters gets me hyped. I'm happy that Anduin and Greymane will have a more important part in the story. I have so much hope and I can't wait to be able to play the game!

Congratulations to you guys, Icy Veins, on your fifth year! And thank you for aiding me in starting off this amazing game!

I'm very interested in the types of artifact weapons, the introduction of the Ashbringer into Legion is a very cool prospect.

I'm really looking forward to legion, im just hoping it will be released before im deployed, which is a large part of why i want to get into the beta, gauging that by the time i get back i will be well behind the curve in terms of content, I've been playing wow concurrently since vanilla and I've been in the wotlk beta, cata beta, and missed WoD because of boot camp, I've been speculating for demon hunters since death knights were announced for wrath, and the concept for class halls will be really interesting in execution, hopefully blizz has learn from their mistakes with garrisons where we have legitimate content to do on a daily basis, blizz knows they need to revitalize wow now before it gets overcome by other mmos as unlikely as it seems, blizz is pulling out content that could stand as their own expansions and jam packing it into this own so they get some second wind to this dead horse we all love

I'm really looking forward to the big gameplay changes. A lot of people are complaining about the ability pruning, but the dehemoginisation of the classes with the new combat animations is going to make things feel pretty fresh again on every character. I like the idea of 'power progression' through your artifact as well, doing all kinds of content to level up abilities at max level is a nice new depth to the gameplay. Also hyped for Demon Hunter, I love mobile melee classes and the Mythic tier looks slick

I am looking forward to seeing how all of my classes have changed and most of all, exploring the new lands! I love the world of Azeroth (and beyond) so much variety and beauty and little bitty special places off the beaten path. I want to kill and skin beasts on my hunter, heal my friends and allies on my shaman, my druid, my monk and my priest, and tank all the bosses on my paladin. My mage looks forward to all the wardrobe options that will be available, she is clearing space for her new outfits.

Moving forward, for Azeroth!

I mostly look forward to the entire changed feeling. Warlords have been really dull with garrison forcing a solo MMO experience.
Legion seems to want to change that, even if a little bit. That being said, new class, a ton of class overhauls, artifact weapons providing some more incentive for trying out new builds within builds, there's certainly an entire expansion to look forward to.

First of all, im really looking forward to the artifact quest scenarios and the artifacts themselves.I think it would be really cool to wear such legendary weapons, and the costumization on them is awesome! The other thing is the new class Demon Hunter.I started playing in Burning Crusade, and i thought the coolest thing ever was the Demon Hunter.Lastly, the prestige system.I Think it will bring a balance to PVP, and it is better than getting gear.Thank you so much for reading, have a good day!

I have been watching regular PvE and PvP content from my favorite streamers via Twitch, and I've gotta say - I'm very hyped to try a number of different things.  I've readied 5 classes thus far in preparation: Warrior, DK, Paladin, Shaman and Druid.

I think I'm most amped to try Prot PvP with my Paladin, and looking forward to seeing the changes in all of my 5 classes to see which one will take the crown as my main for Legion.  Not sure how I will end up feeling about the Demon Hunter class to be honest.  It definitely looks promising, as I am mainly a melee class lover - but I will have to check out the playstyle and see if it's something I can see myself being any good at.

I've watched my inbox and launcher daily hoping I'd get an Alpha invite, but that doesn't seem to be happening, so I would very much be excited about participating in the Beta for Legion, as it will definitely be played thoroughly.

In terms of Icy Veins, I've always had a bookmark in my bar for y'all..  the class guide information has always been invaluable and has settled many a quarrel on raid nights, etc.  Thank you for your work here and all that you do for the community.  It is a thankless job, but I am glad that sites like this exist.

Cheers!  biggrin.png

Looking forward to kicking it to the legion once again, all out invasion? Hell yeah i'm ready, they will learn to fear my druid and his 4 artifact weapons biggrin.png . My favorite memory would probably have to be running dungeons in vanilla, played a priest back then. Was quite nice to log in and get tons of requests because you were known to be at least half capable of healing.

Looking forward to the artifact weapons. A lot of people are being negative about them, but I can't wait. I really like the idea of us getting to equip the best weapons in Azeroth and evolve them as we go. They look awesome as well!

I remember raiding Heroic Lich King with my guild Pulse, the times we had wiping to him I hope we get to experience another epic moment in WoW like that again.

I am hyped for Legion because of a few reasons;

1.) The lore, as a lore nut this expansion really seems to focus on it again

2.) My wife and I have been playing the game a lot, she joined me in wotlk and it helped us through some hard times. If we felt down, if we'd been through some tough times, the community, the game would be there to cheer us up, distract us and help us relax or distract us.

I'm not really sure what to make of the artifact weapons. Part of me is delighted I won't have to worry about RNG drops for one of the most important pieces of equipment, but then again I hate the idea that beyond the few skins available, everyone is going to be even more homogenous. I guess in the end it won't matter to me personally either way, since I haven't really raided since Cata. I assume they wont be transmogable. Quite frankly I think the resto druid staff is ugly. Just. ugly. so. I just don't know. Maybe playing with it in the beta would help sway me?

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
