Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

My reason for wanting to experience the beta is to really get a feel for the classes so I dont end up wasting a bunch of time investing time into a character they prune into unrecogniseability.

I currently fear for both frost mage and frost death knight as I feel either their core gameplay or flavour abilities have been removed or changed to the point I won't enjoy their play anymore.

Meanwhile I am excited by the apparent changes to druid and paladin and might like to give them a try, even though I appreciate their class fantasy less.

Extremely excited for The PvP and Artifacts.PvP because of the whole prestige system, adds new depth to the System.Artifacts because major Lore Weapons being re-introduced, and some new ones that seem quite full of lore and (new) stories. One thing I enjoyed in the past however, is learning how to play your spec in PvP, and with the prestige system now, its a whole new depth to explore

I am really looking forward to the raids coming in legion. I hope that they are the same quality as WoD but maybe one more raid, more bosses, or just shorter time between tiers/expansions. My fondest memory is getting the Sinestra achievement for no one dying in the last week you could get it. We had many weeks where someone would die in the last 30 seconds.

I'm looking forward to all the Boomkin changes and animations. Doing the lore for the Scythe of Elune and going into the Emerald Dream is gonna be amazing.

I'm extremely excited for Demon Hunters; I've always played tank classes in every expansion since Burning Crusade, and the whole kit behind them is amazing.

More than that though, I'm a role-player on a RP-PvE realm (Wyrmrest Accord), so getting a chance to play as an unofficial Third Faction is very interesting. The backstory we've had thus far for Illidan's Illidari and the expanded understanding in lore of what he's been up to is a huge boon for the blood elf role-playing community.

Getting a chance to dive into it as a storyteller and event-coordinator during beta would be amazing. Being able to give feedback as a Demon Hunter tank would be just as great.

I am super excited for the Demon Hunters. My favorite thing about WoW is how I can live in a different state from my parents and friends, and we can still raid together and play together. I love when I have a bad day my mom can tell me to get online and we Skype and kill stuff together

Hey Icy Veins/Community.I'm mostly looking for the trying all the classes and seeing which will be my new main. Have every character at 100 and I'm now waiting for it. Loving videos on legion at the moment but personal experience always means the most to me, hoping I can try it before release. My best memory I have of World Of Warcraft was all the way back in vanilla. So my dad was the raid leader of our MC guild and on our Baron Geddon kills ,unknown to me at the time, there was an idiot group. Which there job was to stand in a corner as far away from the people that knew what to do and basically blow each-other up. and ye, I was in that group. I used to get really upset and throw a fit at my dad. I was 9 after all and playing a paladin was boring enough (ye my dad got me to play so I could be the buffer -. Looking back I just laugh and realize how much the game has changed. Can't wait to see what blizzard has in store. Legion and beyond. Thanks for reading. Goodluck everyone.

i might as well try it, lol I am pretty excited for legion even though many including myself see WoD as dissapointing. i don't have the beta and i would love to win it obviously, that is why i am posting here xD i started playing wow in 2004 for the lore (THAT RHYMED) i have come to love the game and story but BC ruined illidan for me. Now that he will be redeemed i am really happy and excited and back in WC3 i loved the broken isles. i can't wait to see the lore expanded upon. and a little thing called. DEMON HUNTERS. CANNOT WAIT. oh and my main hunter was survival in vanilla cant wait for melee Good luck to everybody else i hope you have fun. also ty to the icyveins for the keys.

I'm super excited for the new raids in Legion, a lot of them are looking really gorgeous and have incredibly engaging-looking mechanics (like a boss that throws cake?!)

My fondest WoW memory is probably of doing a MC run with my guild during Wrath, because I only had Vanilla at that point, and thought MC was the epitome of WoW. I was a bit of a loud, obnoxious mascot of my guild and somehow convinced enough people to show up to get through the first few bosses; I really don't remember the actual raid much. We joked around a lot, I bugged some people and just generally had a good time, and that cemented my love for the WoW community and obsession with raiding.

I've mained a deathknight since WoTLK and I'll level other classes up to the max but I usually lose interest. With the changes to class specs and the way they're each being fleshed out and expanded upon I'm really excited to try out each new spec. Other than class fantasy I'm pretty excited for the new mog system too:) Legion Hype woooooo!

I look forward to all things hunter related. I am looking forward to whatever new Spirit Beast comes out in Legion. I have tamed every spirit beast that is available at the moment and want to get the new ones coming out as well. I am also looking forward to the transmog tab. My void storage is forever full and I am having to decide what I want to keep and what I am willing to get rid of.

I've been playing wow for a while and I miss grinding out redridge mountains as a warrior. Stockade also used to be so much fun to tank. In legion I'm super excited for the dungeons. They actually seem difficult and require some thought which is good. Also, artifact weapons are amazing. I think Blizz has done a wonderful job so far with legion

I look forward to better storytelling in legion, they did an improvement with cutscenes in WoD but don't think it's quite there yet (Missing a little bit of direction, since you can lose part of the story not knowing if the next mission will be important for progress or just a filler). Also I hope it's not as much of a grind like in WoD, hate the "item level to dungeon" system, let people play what they want. All in all, I'm pretty hyped about it, Illidan, Artifacts. it seems awesome but makes me worried at the same time.I mean, everyone receiving an Ashbringer, a Doomhammer. Still, It seems like it can be a lot of fun.S: Bring Kael'thas back in legion as well, not just that playboy Illidan, lol

I appreciate all the work you guys do, there's been quite a few times I level up a new character and come here to learn how it works at max level, lol. Hope to see you continue on, 5 years a long time. I'm most looking forward to playing a demon hunter in legion. My most fond memories are from Vanilla wow, I leveled up on Dragonmaw Horde. The PVP that took place while trying to level up was just so awesome, I think I may level up my demon hunter on a PVP realm to try and recapture some of that magic.

I'm really looking forward to thew new Questing system. Being able to pick whichever zone I want to quest in sounds like a dream come true. One of my fondest Memories of WoW was discovering PvP for the first time. It changed my view of not just WoW but games as a whole. That's a memory I cherish cause I know I'll never be able to relive

There's nothing like the start of a new expansion, I'm really looking forward to spending at least 2-3 days straight of playing non stop, which is something I do with every expansion launch. I'm quite exited to try my hand at the Demon hunter and explore the broken Isles.

Thanks for the opportunity to be in the Beta!

My best WoW moment was around WotLK when I started raiding seriously for the first time and getting to join my guild's main group in doing the Firefighter achievement for the first time.

As for what I'm looking forward to most?  For me it's the updated animations.  Thing have felt stale for so long and with the revamped models, it was time to make some more fluid animations to go with them.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
