Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am looking forward to all the class revisions the most. The aspect I miss the most is that feeling of wanting to play all day. Hopefully Legion can bring that back for me.

I can't wait for the lore and the raids in Legion. My favorite moments, so far in WoW, have been all the moments that I have shared with my friends, either raiding or just having a great time.

I'm looking foward for the new pvp system. I'm more a pve player, but I find the changes and the new rewards with the prestige sistem very interesting.

Also the artifact customization and the new transmog system aswell.

I want to be able to fly from Northrend to the Broken Isle. )) Also pretty stoked about the Raid/Dungeon content with the artifact weapons.  Looking forward to seeing you all in game.

As a Hunter I am really looking forward to the changes with Survival; it’s a shame that it wasn’t a very viable spec throughout Warlords of Draenor PVE.   Going melee is bold and should prove to be interesting.  As a ten-year-vet who has never seen the light of any beta, I would love to partake in trialing this revamped spec; it would bring me great joy to provide feedback to the company I love in order to better their game.

I am excited about Legion, but at the same time I am worried. I main a Mistweaver Monk and so much about the class is being changed. I am not sure if I enjoy the direction they are going with it. It worries me that we will have a healer identity crisis. Like will we still be raid healers or more of a single/dungeon healer class? Maybe if someone else who thinks differently could give me some reassurance or some insight about something that I am missing with the changes. Maybe that could shed some light and reassure me.

Other than that, with all of the new lore and the trend raiding has been going in Dreanor, I am conifdent that the changes will simply take some getting used to and this expac will be a nice change for WoW~~!

I'm looking forward to see how artifacts system will work on off-specs. In previous expansions switching between specs was easy and simple. Curious how will it be in Legion. Also im hyped about new proffesions quests because proffesions are one of my best things to do in WoW. Icy Veins, thank you for 5 years of duty! I really love guides you made so far :)

I really wanted to check out the new animations by myself and try the Enhancement Shaman changes as it looks like entirely new spec judging from the youtube videos. Plus, my real-life job is QA Game Tester, what more could you ask for from a potential candidate? :D

Really hyped about demon hunters, loved them in WC3 and have been wanting to play one since WoW launched. I was kinda bummed when they weren't added with BC and I thought the opportunity was gone, but they're finally coming with legion! Hoping they'll be fun to play - they already improved a lot since they were first announced, and the improvements keep coming with each new build!

I've been playing WoW since Vanilla on and off. Raided and finished every content given except in vanilla.

I've been maining elemental shaman since wrath and I grew up with my character ever since. I would love to get the beta key so I can actually play and have a closer feel of what my elemental shaman will be in legion due to the fact that their aren't enough elemental shaman videos and updates on the internet.

I hope I get a first hands look of the elemental shaman with this beta key.

Best,

I'm really looking forward to Blizzard removing specific types of runes, and making all your spells cost the same rune, and I'm interested to see how that works out with our cooldowns and the such.

Looking forward to feeling like my class again with the focus on class fantasy! Flinging globs of lava from my Elemental Shaman's hands? Summoning multiple demons from the Twisting Nether to wreak havoc on my enemies on my Demo Lock?

Yes PLEASE!

i'm really excited about, the artifacts and unlocking everything for them and getting to experience all the new and epic content! because its looking really good. So far its looking like, the game will really get me back into it because they are putting in so much work with animations and class moves making everything look clean. The new PVP system looks very interesting how they are actually giving us a real reasons to pvp.

I started playing wow back in middle school with my friends i really do love, the game very much..its really good game...and im glad Blizzard is doing a good job to make it the game that it truly is.

I'm really pumped for Legion wish it was already here!

I never really enjoyed PvP as the progression ended fairly quickly, but I may try it out for the first time in Legion. The new honor system has got me really interested, along with the de-homogenization of professions. Happy anniversary Icy Veins! I couldn't have done it without yah.

What are you most looking forward to in Legion? I'm definitely looking forward to the new Challenge modes for dungeons more than any other part of the expansion. I feel that dungeons have lost their appeal over the last few expansions, and the feature including affixes along with timing have the potential to bring a level of prestige, repeatability and fun back to running 5 mans that I haven't felt since Heroics were first introduced in BC. What are your fondest memories in Warcraft history? In vanilla, my guild got a server-3rd kill of Nefarian, and I remember screaming into the mic at 1 AM on a school night, feeling a rush like nothing I'd experienced at that point in my life. We paraded around Stormwind with our guildies and their completed 8-pieces (as some of them were the only people on the server to have them). The biggest thing I remember about it is the camaraderie and the sense that we had truly achieved something unique - group finder and accessibility to raids have in my opinion done a lot of damage to the feeling of community the game once had, and the ease with which groups can complete the last boss of a tier make killing it feel like it has little to no meaning when you kill it on the harder difficulties. Killing a boss for the first time was always the best part, and when I kill a boss on Mythic (the fourth difficulty of doing it) it no longer feels fresh. The second memory I have is the night my server opened the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Months of farming, preparation and coordination had led to the moment it happened, and the whole server was practically standing outside the gates. The server kept crashing, but so many people were excited that everyone immediately logged back in. I don't think the community of Warcraft has been as excited for a singular event since then

As a hunter, i can't wait to try out the new Survival spec, and be a glorious melee hunter. Ever since the transmog system in D3 was implemented, I've been hoping so much that they'd implement the same in WoW, and I love that they finally did. Above all,  I can't wait for demon hunters.  I've wanted to play as a demon hunter ever since I first started a blizzard game in WC3. Now I can finally play the class I joined WoW to play and see the lore that surrounds them and the legion get some more content.  As for fondest moment? 1. The first time I saw the opening trailer when starting up Wrath of the Lich King.  The narration,  the animation,  and the atmosphere of it. Sent chills through me when his eyes flared up.  When I was one of the winners in the Lich King screenshot contest. Out of idk how  many people Blizz decided my screenshot was one of the best.  Still have that stein somewhere.

I'm most looking forward to class overhauls in Legion.  I thought that many DPS rotations in WoD weren't very fun and it's looking like Legion is doing a great job rectifying this.  I didn't really have a main during WoD, but usually I main a Warrior and Arms is looking light years more fun in Legion than in WoD.  Also really looking forward to the new Challenge Mode system.  I love 5-mans  (although I wasn't a big fan of the old Challenge Modes) and having a system that adds in increased difficulty and fun variables to dungeons makes me pretty excited.

I'd say my fondest memory in my WoW history would be my old guild's server first Lady Vashj kill.  We were kinda the underdog, just steadily progressing where usually there'd be a guild or two pushing much harder than us that would eventually die off or transfer for whatever reason.  Eventually it was us and a couple other guilds working on Vashj at the same time.  We got her after a probably a good few weeks of working on her and it was far and away the best feeling I've ever had in WoW.  I'll never forget it.

I'm definitely most excited for Demon Hunter tanking. Jumping around, sigils, lighting myself on fire. It looks too cool to handle. And gliding to get to the class hall portal now is beyond awesome. My favorite WoW moment was back in BC. It was a little after I dinged 70, and my friends were running Kara. They had it well on farm, so they told me to come along for the ride. I'm tagging along, absolutely awe struck by how cool this instance is. We get to Attumen, and of course having no idea what I'm doing I die pretty quickly. They down him with no problem, and the Fiery Warhorse's Reins drop. Everyone is super excited, because they haven't seen it yet. They tell me to roll, but I say I shouldn't since I'm just being carried anyway. They insist, and I roll. My very first epic item win was the Fiery Warhorse. Awesome times.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
