Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Mostly looking forward to the warlock Demonology changes.

I played a Magician in Everquest and always felt like the WoW Warlock lacked a bit in the demon-army regard. The changes so far are looking really good, giving off that demon-master vibe as it should.

As for my nostalgic moment, it has to be my Sinestra kill. 10m raiding was finally a viable alternative to 25m raiding that tier and it was almost immediately my preferred setup. That whole tier had great moments and those first months of Cata are probably the most fun I've had in game.

Sinestra 10m was considered one of the hardest fights up till then and bringing it down with a sub optimal group was the cherry on top of the cake.

I've been keeping up with some of the class changes in Legion, and I'm pretty excited to see how they turn out.

My friend kept paying for game time for me last year, and he introduced me to WoW with MoP content. I enjoyed the Pandaren intro, and never got much further with it, we'd play as a group and spam dungeons on our Blood Elves.
Recently, he got me the Draenor expansion, which I played solo. I fell in love with the story the questing told, even though I'm not done with it yet (I'm a sucker for interesting lore).
These days I'm questing zones on alts, with the occasional dungeon to keep things interesting. I'm really keen to sink my teeth into Legion, especially seeing some of the Warlock changes.

Daaaaamn Gul'Daniel, back at it again with the burning legion. So much hype with this one: the lore weapons and characters, gnome hunters, Demon Hunters. Maybe Gnomes will retake their home? Also can't wait for all the Illidan variations that is if they aren't already taken.

I am very much looking forward to testing Nether tempest with Quickening from the mage talents, though frost is looking to be very very attractive with alot of the changes they have.  Admittedly though I was not to happy with arcane's artifact intro as it felt copy and pasted from another class and really felt shoe horned in.

I am really looking forward to the Challenge Modes and Raids  All of the class changes have me excited for what Legion has to bring. Also looking forward to trying out the demon hunter as it might be the first time in 9 years that i might swap my main class.

Im traing to get into legion alpha for a while and couldnt do it, not even my friends got access. And im not going to write a lot cuz it wouldn't work so, i just want to say i would really apreciate a beta key to try the Eha Shaman gameplay, since is my main and Demon Hunter, obviously, since im a big fan of Illidan since i played Warcraft III.

So, im not asking a lot, just the opportunity to playa little bit the game and try yo help making it better <3

The thing i cant wait for in legion is to actually test how ele shaman will fair in pvp when all the balancing/tuning is out of the way! As my favourite class and the one ive been playing since forever im really excited by the changes even though i may not agree with them all..as for fondest memory id have to say guild progression back in wotlk. We werent realm firsts by any stretch of the imagination but we formed great friendships back then and it was very rewarding!

Most looking forward to ALLL the new things coming for the Transmog System overhaul.  Can't wait to go back to one mog set per spec. Also, most fond days were healing ICC for my guild. Bring on Legion.

I raided pretty much all the way till BRF. I raided on a pretty decent level, but decided to make a pause when HFC came. Sad story: archimonde mythic = alpha access.

Till now I am playing rated battlegrounds for fun.

I want to check out all the new class changes in Legion Alpha/Beta, to decide, wich class I main in Legion. I'm not 100% sure now if I go "semi hardcore" raiding again. Maybe I will focus more on twinking, because all classes look all pretty nice to me.

Well that's all I have to say.

Thank you. Best regards.

Kranq

I'm extremely hyped for Legion! With the new animations giving me the feeling of tearing demons apart with my warrior as well as the new artifact weapons and what it brings to the table with its talents, as they remind me of the orginal talent system.

A favorite moment of mine has to be doing arenas with my friends and just having fun together playing the game. Here's hoping Legion's honor system is as good as i hope.

Out of everything, I think I'm most excited for the artifact system. It seems like they took some of the best parts from that oft-mentioned ArtCraft post and worked it into the game in a way that seems awesome. Second to the artifact system, I'm also looking forward to continuing the lore in Azeroth. WoD was a relatively self-contained story for the most part, with Gul'dan being the major connecting character. I'm also excited to see how the recently revealed information from Warcraft Chronicles might impact the in-game lore. Given what we now know about the Titans, I'm not sure if we'll ever see one but I certainly hope so

Can't wait to try new PvP system. As a pvp player I'm so glad they finally made an update to this aspect of the game! And new animations are looking so cool.

Keen to see how Brewmasters evolve in Legion and how Monks in general are going to fit into lore. Pretty sad my artefacts won't be Dual Wield Steins with a Keg instead of a cloak but meh, maybe next Xpack.

Looking forward to trying out Demon Hunters and all the new lore, Also really interested in the new PvP/Artifact system as I have been hoping they would introduce more complexity to the talent/ability system. Also the honor prestige gives me something to grind between content phases or when partners aren't on for ranked.

I am really looking forward for the new expansion to come. Part of the reason is that my server is pretty dead right now, with nothing new to do so people just leave the game until the pre-expansion patch is up.

We had fun in WOD as a guild, but we killed Archi HC pretty fast, and we were not up to doing mythic, because of the 20-man restriction, so after killing the boss a few times we decided to take a break from raiding until the expansion, and tbh it's a pity. We just thought 14 months of raiding the same raid was too much for us to handle. People get bored easily of killing the same monsters over and over again.

This said, I really hope Legion will bring more content that WOD did in the last year of the expansion. I mean it's cool to play it at launch and everything is new but in the last months you really need to get new things to do every few months to keep enjoying the game.

I am looking forward to check out the new PvP system in Legion, although I don't do much PvP, I might start now =) It looks interesting.

About the weapons... I have my concerns here, from what I've read it seems like a 24/7 dungeon grind (etc), we will see how it goes, hope it's fun =)

I still remember when my guild had 9 people back in TBC and we straggled to do any raid. But the instances were great and harder than they are now, which made them far more enjoyable to me.

The game has been getting easier and easier with every expansion. And I don't mean I would ever get back to playing Vanila cuz it was just too crazy for me, the hours you had to spend playing, the 40 ppl raids etc. For me the ideal was in the WotLK, and it's the expansion I enjoyed the most.

Let's hope Legion doesn't get too easy (and if they follow the tendency it will be), because my guild and I like to have some challange. We would definitely be doing mythic if it wasn't for the 20-man restriction (my server is the smallest of the spanish realms and we really don't find that many skilled people without guild).

And, of course, I will make a DH =)) It won't be my main but I will probably do pvp with it. They seem fun for the mobility and the skills they have.

Greetings!

WOW is one of the few games that somehow no other can really touch. I have tried several different mmorpg's but keep coming back to wow. even now when I have mostly have enough time to just login and do garrisons it is still fun. Also it is fun to see my teen son start digging in deep to the game and get into raiding and enjoy developing friendships with people in his guild

Happy anniversary IV! I've been a lurker and reader for a while but this topic has made me register to post ;)

I am most looking forward to raiding again. I played Wow in vanilla and then took a long break and now that I returned in Wod I was a bit behind the curve and though I am still experiencing the raids it's not the same because everyone else knows everything about them already so I look forward to start with most of the players this time.

My favourite moment was in Vanilla when our main tank finally got his second half of thunderfury and our whole raid went to get him his quest completed. We were honestly happy for the guy especially because it took way longer than average for us to ever the the second half to drop and he was happy like a child.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
