Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What im looking forward to most in Legion is by far the Artifact Weapons and the Wardrobe.  I am a completionist and really wanna collect all the older tier gear to be able to mog it to what i want.  I started playing in BC and my favorite part of wow until now has been Ulduar.  Looking forward to try and build a guild back up and play Legion together.

I'm mostly excited about hanging out in Dalaran again. I really miss those days. I've been playing since 2006, but Dal was always my favorite place to hang out with everyone as the "main" city. I can't wait for the expansion.

The biggest and most glorious thing I'm excited for is the new Survival hunter. I've craved and always worked with attempting it in the past, during any expansion to get a Melee hunter to work. As a long time fan of Rexxar, it always felt wrong to me to not have a spec dedicated to Melee when he himself never used a bow. On top of that, the artifact itself is absolutely beautiful. The new PVP talents and standarized stats seem like a fantastic attempt to try and make PVP more competitive instead of just being an alternate gear grind.

I'm looking forward to the changes of Warlock and Warrior, and really curious for the artifact weapons and how that's going to work out. Also I'm really hyped for the new class: Demon Hunter and would LOVE to test that out.

I'm excited for the rogue changes to assassnation (It's my favorite spec) and the artifact weapons.

The Wardrobe is also gonna be awesome, since it will clear Void Storage room.

I'm realy looking forward to Legion because from the launch of WoW, they are actually taking a look at everything from classes to spells to basic mechanics and upgrading them to today's demands. I also can't wait to face the Legion again and defend the world of Azeroth from total annihilation. Another reason that I'm hyped for this expansion is that we finally get to see Sylvanas in the spotlight, I feel like she will play a major role in this expansion or the next one.

I'm looking forward to the new spell animations as well as the artifact power system. The legendary drop system has caught my eye too because of how it'll let me have something to grind out when I'm bored.

Hello everyone! So where do i begin with my favorite World of Warcraft memory? Well, i have some very memorable moments and my little moments that where special to me. So ill just tell everyone here a few stories from my WoW experiences. Hope you get a good kick out of these and/or some of these make you smile.

So, my first story takes place when i was first getting into WoW and it really inspired me to do some of the things i do today in WoW. I was roaming around one day, as a starter edition account (level 20) and i was questing everywhere to get the best gear i could get for a lvl 20. Then, one day, I'm hanging out in Goldshire when a lvl 85 (Cata had just released) whispered me and said, "Hey I noticed you're armor isn't the greatest, how would you like to join my guild for help?" And i was thinking, "My armor, that i spent almost 2 weeks getting (cause i was very inexperienced) is not good?" Then i said sure. See, this guy didnt know i was starter and then suddenly found out. Then he told me all these great things I could do if i got an account. I was absolutely amazed. So the very next week, I went out and bought a FULL ACCOUNT. This blowed my mind. Unfortunately, after joining the guys guild and reaching lvl 25, the guy had family issues, he quit and had to go. I haven't seen him since. But, when he left, i noticed a note in my mail. I rushed to a mailbox (this was my first mail). He left a note telling me to keep up the good work, and how i was a good guy and he wouldn't be returning to WoW. He had become a good friend in the short time a knew him. He also left an attachment, it was a necklace.I thought that was the greatest gift in the world, i couldn't believe this guy actually cared to help me  out this much. A druid with no skills...with the help of the best guy... Then, a few years later, here i am. Since that day, I have helped many people out. My main is now a Death Knight. I was lucky enough to snag the name Thelichking when i bought a name change. Every now and then I'll do a thing that i call "Lich King Christmas". Yeah, i know, sounds weird. But in this time, ill take all my gold, whether i have only 1,000 gold or 100k gold and i buy gifts. I'll spend all my gold and then ill run around with these gifts and hand them out to everyone. It's just so nice to give back to everyone, after someone had the heart to help me. I really love doing it. And one day, I was handing out gifts, and I had a spectral tiger cub (my own personal pet, still lvl 1). I met this guy that was talking to me and he loved pets. He was just starting out pet battling and he was talking about one pet only, the spectral tiger cub. And i saw how much yearned for it. So, i took my pet, caged it.... and made a new best friend. He thanked me a lot. He still thanks me today. And know he has started giving people pets to start and he gives his friends free armor from his professions. That day i gave him my pet, was spectacular to say the least. I was so happy and heart-warmed to see how humbled he was to receive a gift he loved so dearly.  And now I reach out to as many people as i can to help them achieve what they want. So, if you guys take anything from this, help as much as you can, you really can make a persons day, even with something as small as a necklace, to something as big as a pet or bigger. Thanks to everyone that does reach out to inexperienced WoW players. And thanks to Icy Veins for helping beginners understand the game. I know this was long, sorry for that. Ill let yall go know, have a blessed life and i hope to see one of you amazing people on Trollbane (my small home realm). If you need help and you read this post, don't be afraid to send me some mail and i'll be more than glad to see you and help as much as i can. See you later, stay Icy my friends.

Oh wait, in Legion, i am soooooo excited to see the class halls (i think that's the names). I love the story line so much from what I've read so far. The artifact weapons are a huge plus and I can't wait to try out that new class, Demon Hunter. This the most excited I have ever been for an expansion. I honestly can't wait to try it out. Short on money at the moment, but I'm saving money up to buy legion. Hey, maybe ill win this, chances are low, but I'm just happy to see Icy Veins being such helpful people. Thanks guys, your awesome. :D

The main reason I am looking forward to Legion is because, even though I have played since 2005, I have never played at the start of an expansion. I have always come back for the second or third/last raid. But this time I will be there from the start! I have joined an awesome raiding guild full of fellow aussies and am really excited. My reasoning for wanting to be part of the Beta is so I can help flesh out the specs I will be playing which are Guardian and Balance Druid, Prot and Fury Warrior...and Demon Hunter...because it's a gad dang Demon Hunter boys! Cheers for the giveaway, hope all goes well and y'all have fun in the beta!!

I´m really looking forward to Legion. I´ve been playing WoW since TBC and it really saddens me to see the state the game is in now. I miss being excited to log in. Legion, however, looks like it´ll bring back that excitement.

Really looking forward to the demon hunter, going to make one for sure. Also plan on playing my healer monk since the new abilities look really fun, specifically essence font, like the visual animation on it a lot and it seems powerful and cool. Also honestly can't wait for the early xpac and leveling characters, I think it'll be really unique and cool this time around as you have a different artifact questline for each character you level, and you can level in any zone order you want. It'll make getting your characters up to max a lot more fun imo

I've played wow for many years. But I only ever really love the game when I play with my irl friends. We've never really been able to raid together, but finally we have put together our own mythic raiding guild. Really looking forward to take on new raid and instances in wow with my mates.

Well my favorite part of Legion is the lore behind this and how the lore will continue in this Expansion which is amazing and so far ive seen good things from this expansion. My favorite part of my World of Warcraft Career to say the least is first joining the game it was such a shocker when i joined i was just so surprised when i saw the game from when it was Warcraft the first game to now and yes theres been ups and downs of this game im still proud to say I belong to one of the greatest games.

Hi!

I read most of the announcements and i just hope druids get really nice new treeform with their artifact weapon. I love my tree and dancing while burning in a cooking fire looks so funny and is nice to spare some time before pulls... and who wouldnt be affraid of the magic burning tree.

My best moment was when i could finaly join a guild and started raiding. The moment i took down illidan the first time black temple was awesome. We me in real life later and so much fun together. At was really the best guild i have ever belonged too and i still miss them a lot.

Hi everyone ! I'm a huge wow-fan since BC and my favorite character is Illidan (because he's badass as hell). I especially like this game because of the lore... So Legion looks like heaven to me ! So much lore with the new world and the artefacts weapons ! Can't wait to play the game and test all the new artefacts, transmog system, new dongeon and zones...
The PVP in legion seems very interresting too with the honor system and the pvp talents.

One thing about legion is there are so many class and specs who looks cool than I don't know what im going to play in legion. So maybe playing alpha/beta will help me on that point^^

There are so many things I'm excited about. The overhauled dungeon challenge system, the new PvP system, the artifacts, the lore. It seems like they're doing everything right with this xpac.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
