Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really excited for Legion, because Blizzard prepared the whole story arc so good this time!

I got my Chronicle: Volume I yesterday and cant stop reading, they are doing a great job on creating maybe the best story for a addon.

The Class-Fantasy Idea is another thing im looking for, i hope they will make every class feel more special and authentic =)

I'm looking forward to the new PvP system. Blizzard have always struggled to find a PvP system that works for the masses, and this system looks promising!

I really adore the new feral/guardian artifact skins.

Those together with the "quad-spec" really make me excited for Legion.

I have to look out for updates to the healer dmg for leveling as I mostly play resto but atm I've not really heard good things about questing on the healers.

As I've only a joined WoW in the middle of MoP I don't have as much history with it as most others but raiding is one of the best experiences I've had in WoW.

I'm also a bit scared about the removal of a lot of the utility abilities that make the classes interesting.

there are quite a few things i'm looking forward to in legion. i think the thing i'm most excited about would definitely be the transmog changes! i'm a bit of a transmog hoarder so it's going to be wonderful to clear out some of my bank space.

i'm also quite curious about how the pvp talents and changes are going to be!

also, as with every other expansion, i'm really excited to see the new artwork and explore the new zones!

i've spent entirely too much time playing WoW over the last few years.. i have so many fond memories - it's hard to pick just one. i've met so many amazing people while playing and made some very close friends. i even met my significant other through the game! i suppose all of my fondest memories mostly revolve around the people i play with and the fun we've had.

Fondest memory: I remember several years ago, when I used to play on a RP server with my priest. I was walking towards Stormwind and while I came to the bridge that leads inside the city, I stumbled upon an event where some people were discussing about going to form a guild of knights.

I stayed there and listened for a few minutes until someone asked me the fastest direction to Ironforge. I could've just given him instructions on how to get there, but I decided that I'll show him the way. So I told him to follow me and I'll show him. So we embarked on a journey through the streets of Stormwind through the old town to the Dwarven District. There we went to the Deeprun Tram and waited for it to arrive. After the tram arrived, we jumped on it and set our course towards Ironforge. After we came to the end of the path we said goodbye to each other and went our own paths from there. It might not sound like it's that big of a deal but I remember so clearly how I committed on helping this fellow to get to his destination and had so much fun helping.

What I wait the most in Legion? All the changes to the classes, the artifact quests and mostly the animation improvements on the Paladin. Paladin is the class I've played the most in World of Warcraft and in Legion It seems that the class is a little bit more, you know? The changes in the judgement animation alone makes me feel like a great hero.

I was hyped for WoD because of the themes and story, but obviously fell flat. Legion however looks great in terms of gameplay, fantasy, fun and actual stuff to do this time.

I used to love making transmogs centred around my weapon, so artifacts are gonna be never ending fun for me :)

Well, I'm actually really looking forward to the new spell animations. Especially the ones for my arms warrior. ;-) I'm also really excited about the look of the artifacts and the new transmog options.

I remember when I hit PvP Rank 7 on my paladin back in vanilla. For me it was like "yay, only three more to go 'til I get all of the sexy armor pieces". But yeah there were a lot of people with much more time I guess. xD

Im excited for the new expansion to be honest. BUT there are some things that are worrying me.

First of all I enjoy a lot WoW and I dont want Legion to be the last expansion, but it may be (or at least the one that makes me hype) if it lacks of content. But well, after all I trust Blizzard.

I love some changes like the new pvp system. I love that now skills > gear since now every class/spec will have their own stats and they will be able to balance the game easier (or they should) and i love how the new arena looks like.

I also love the wardrove system. We will be able to collect transmogs like we do with mounts!

And the last thing (I dont wanna be talking all day long, though i can assure i could) I love the Broken Isles, they really look gorgeous.

Lok'tar ogar!

I'm eager to test the updated class specs and the new content and share constructive feedback with Blizzard.

I'm a bit of a sucker for the lore, so I can't wait to get started on the new artifact quest chains and of course the leveling zones and make myself familiar with the new class specs while doing so. I also really like the attention that's being given to class identity.

I will probably level a survival hunter first, but I'm interested in seeing how all the updated classes play and of course providing a lot of feedback on all of the above.

I hope to see a crowded Dalaran soon. smile.png

I'm looking forward to the artifact weapons and the semi-return of talent trees in the form of artifact points. Being able to switch to any spec is going to be awesome as well! I also think the new honor system is looking very promising and I might actually venture into PvP once again, after not having really participated for 2 expansions! The lack of gear divide and putting everyone on equal footing sounds very fun. smile.png

Being that I have played a Warlock since the start (I began @ the very end of vanilla) I've always be fascinated with the demons and summoning them as well. BC had tons of demons, I remember leveling and enslaving demons during dungeons. I think the idea of Legion is gonna borrow heavily from BC and LK as IMHO those were the pinnacle expansions of WoW. I've seen comment after comment about how something acted or behaved in those expansions in relation to Legion. I like the idea of an ENTIRE expansion FOCUSED on demons will be a blast for any Warlock out there I hope to learn more about demons and their origination how they even came to be. I want to know more about the Twisting Nether. So with the idea we will be learning all this in Legion I think the logical direction is to return to crossing path w/ the titans only instead of relics or machines or messages or the crazy one we will get to learn more about wtf they have been up to!!

Mind you this is my opinion only.

Reading about Legion, for me, is bringing back my love for Demonology Warlocks. Blizzard destroyed my love for Warlocks back in the end-Cata patch, they completely changed how its played and it destroyed my faith within their decisions. I'd love to try out the Warlocks in the Beta before launch because i want to see if i should invest my time in that class or not.

Looking forward to the Artifact weapons, Demon Hunter the most. My favorite memory from WoW is when I first started out as a kid playing a Gnome Mage. I had so much fun even if I didn't know what I was doing and only got to questing in Loch Modan.

I'm really looking forward to new druid bear forms, I want to collect them all.

The best thing ever happened to me was finding my girlfriend through WOW, I fantasised about having girlfriend that I can play together with for years. Unthinkable happened and I actually found what I was looking for. We have been together ever since.

The most funny thing that happen afterwards was getting Invincible's reins drop on a weekly hunt with my girlfriend. I have learned it, but felt so guilty that my GF didn't get one.I wrote a ticket to blizzard to turn back time and give it to her. I was so persistent that customer representatives let me know I'm annoying :). To this day I feel like I just should give it to her and make her smile, well big task is still ahead of me. I will be farming that mount for her on my 9 toons. The good thing is :) I know she loves me, no matter who got the drop.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
