cant wait to see the changes on mages and dk's playstyle :) and the Artifact weapons .

And finally a new Raid content , new challanges and more.

My favorite moments in WOW was to kill Kil'jaeden before patch and beat the original Naxxramas.

I joined shortly before Wrath launched. I saw the trailer and the boxes around my local shops and couldn't resist trying this game for myself. I had always heard things, some good some bad, about WoW so I began with the starter edition. It didn't take long for me to get hooked and basically spend the next few years playing as much as possible. Over those years, I have to admit, WoW hasn't necessarily gotten better. Especially after WoD, which i thought would be what's going to bring back the feelings I got when I first saw the Wrath trailer.

Now with Legion around the corner I am once again hopeful. And everything I saw so far is just reassuring me that this could be it. The dungeons look entertaining, the lore seems to have improved and the zones look better than ever. Still I know I have to be doubtful until I actually try it for myself.

Ok so as my reason for being excited for legion is boring let me open with my favourite memory from WOW (and its a long one so get ready) 10 years ago during vanilla on dragonmaw EU, this is the tale of a tauren warrior called Bennito and his rise (unjustly so) to notoriety on the server.

One day Bennito is in a PUG UBRS run, Bennito a couple other randoms and 5 or so people from a guild (the name i can no longer remember but its not important to the story) the 10 man team has battled bravely through the instance and just killed the beast and already they all are walking to the next pack of mobs, Bennito says "guys any other skinners here wanna roll for skinning the beast or can i?" everyone responds with things like "take it" "w/e man" and "none of us are skinners, just hurry and lets keep going" anyway Bennito skins the beast and Pristine Hide of the Beast drops, which is an epic quality crafting item only obtainable by skinners and used in a couple of very very good (at the time) recipe's, of course Bennito takes the item as he is the only skinner but the 5 or so guildies decide that although Bennito is the only skinner they should all be allowed to roll for the item, of course Bennito declines the offer as why should they roll on his profession item when he is the only skinner (the enchanter isnt sharing the stuff he is DE'ing etc) anyway Bennito is hastily kicked from the group and the guild spreads the message about Bonnito the ninja, and poor Bennito is subsequently blacklisted by the enire server (and remember as this was vanilla there was no name changing or server Xfers yet, aside from free xfers to new servers which we will come to later) so for now Poor Bennito is Imfamous on Dragonmaw for being a dispicable Ninja by both factions.

Fast forward some months and most guilds are doing BWL on farm etc, poor Bennito hasnt even seen a raid past UBRS yet as everyone knows Bennito the ninja (legit remember people new to the game new his reputation even if they didnt know the backstory) he even tried to roll an alt but someone ratted him out and it was blacklisted too so he went back to his main.... anyway my guild at the time had most content on farm and didnt need much gear from the farm content and as we knew the whole Bennito story and felt bad for him we decided to let him come to one of our MC raids so he could actually see what a raid was like.

during the raid sadly only stuff we needed for raiding alts dropped until we came to Sulfuron Harbringer that is, and Thunder/Shadowstrike dropped, now to anyone who didnt play back then or simply cant remember, this polearm was a trash tier epic, nobody wanted it, people would keep using blues over taking it, but when it dropped Bennito saw his chance and asked "could i please roll for it" and we tried to tell him his blue wep was actually better dps and that it wasnt an upgrade but to Bennito it didn't matter it was purple (which to him may as well have made it legendary as it was about as impossible for him to obtain thanks to his reputation) so of course we agreed and gave it to him.

wow what a story right, couldn't get any better could it? Wrong, For you see, word spread about Bennito getting an epic faster and more wildly than it ever did about him being a ninja from UBRS, people simply did not believe that he managed to get an epic loot from a legit raid, so much so that the day after getting it the entire horse and what seemed like most of the alliance on the server all came to org to see with thier own eyes Bennito and his epic, and i remember the moment a friend of his led him to org and we all watched as he marched triumphantly on foot passed hundreds of players all cheering and congratulating him on his epic loot. (seriously server first sulfuras and thunderfury didnt get this kind of attention)

anyway soon server xfers came about and a lot of Dragonmaw left to Frostmane, and people name changed my guild all went, and we lost track of Bennito, but at the end of TBC on Frostmane, every now and again you would see a tauren warrior standing in and around Org proudly wielding his epic Polearm from MC, and although a different name and would never answer my whispers i like to think that then and maybe even to this day Bennito is out there somewhere still wielding his Thunderstrike.

I have forgotton more about WoW than i probably currently know but the story of Bennito and his rise to Infamy as a ninja and then his rise again to server legend status will always stay with me.

and yeah legion reminds me of TBC which was my fav expansion and i like the fact this seems like one expansion where due to artifacts they want all specs to be viable for all aspects of the game.

even if i dont win a key i hope the Bennito story was as enjoyable to read as it was for me to tell to you.

:)

I am super excited for Legion, which will be my first real expansion experience, as I've only recently started with WoD. Sadly it seems like my favorite spec, balance druid, is getting butchered, so I'll have to find a new class to enjoy. Change is good, I suppose.

I'm looking forward to the pvp prestige system, new arenas, raids, just content in general its gotten so stale. A rise in subs, pretty much the returns of friends/familiar faces. I guess that's just too bad though, people have lives, they move on from the game =/

My best wow experience was when we downed heroic spine of deathwing, As we were stuck on it for months because people couldn't control their dps. I'm also excited to be tanking in legion but i'm not too sure what class to main atm.

I miss really hard the feeling of being part of something BIG. We stopped Ragnaros the Firelord, we helped Maiev and Akama against Illidan, we released Arthas' soul and broke Frostmourne, we saved Azeroth from total annihilation killing Deathwing, we managed to fight and subdue Garrosh against all odds... but now what? The formerly-fearsome Iron Horde has ended being a cluster of mad orcs just thirsty of more power. Nothing more.

At the very end, for god's sake, we help and free its leader. The same leader we have seen killing innocent people...

This is sad. We need a better WHY. We DESERVE a better enemy. THE BEST ENEMY.

Will Legion give us what I demand? I wish. I f****** wish.

Good luck everyone!

I am always enchanted by the class changes! I really enjoy how developers figure out ways to push the classes to the next level! I would love to test as many classes and specs as I can and figure out what tics well and what needs more attention!

I've played WoW on and off since august 2007. All my friends are gone and very lonely. Due to school and work, there is a good chance I wont be able to play Legion when it releases, at least for a while, so i'd like to have the opportunity to see and test some of the content right now.

16593-icy-veins-5-years-anniversary-200-

Grab your chance to win a Legion beta key!

Icy Veins is turning 5 today and we wanted to celebrate it in the best way possible! We're giving all of you the chance to win a key for the upcoming beta of World of Warcraft: Legion!

As 2011 approached, two young gentlemen were sat discussing ideas for a World of Warcraft website. Ideas were passed back and forth, drafts were drawn up and the first edition of the Icy Veins website was released on the 21st of March, 2011. With a total of 3 guides for specialisations, 2 of which were Mage guides, and 1 raid encounter guide, Icy Veins was beginning its long journey.

5 years later and here we are! With a brand new design just released and with more changes planned in the near future, Icy Veins has not only grown, but matured under the watchful eyes of its founders, Damien and Vlad. With their tireless work ethic and their dedication to the site, we've seen Icy Veins expand from a small World of Warcraft guide-hub into a Blizzard-wide gaming community.

I feel like the word community is worth focusing on, since that's the general theme of today's post. With a growing membership on the forums and an increasing viewer-base on our news posts, Icy Veins has grown into a family. Without the users that visit the site each day, Icy Veins could never have become what it is today. Readers allow our team to do what we love: creating content for all of you.

For everything that you have done for us, we thought today would be a perfect day to do something for you.

Legion Beta Key Giveaway

As many of you know, World of Warcraft is releasing its new expansion this year: Legion. The expansion is overhauling a huge number of aspects within the game, as well as introducing a number of new parts into the game.

Many of you won't have been able to experience all of the new content that is being released, so we wanted to help. With the aid of Blizzard, we're giving away 200 keys to the upcoming beta; 100 of the keys will be given out this week, 100 in another giveaway next week. It's a pretty simple giveaway, you'll just need to post an appropriate comment on this post before the 29th of March to enter!

So what is an appropriate comment? We love hearing back from our readers and we love discussions, so why not mix the two and put together a giveaway! We want to know all about your opinions on Legion, as well as WoW itself. Let us know in the comments what you're most looking forward to, as well as your fondest memories in Warcraft history! Whether it's a guild moment, a personal moment or a moment in the game's story itself, we want to hear it.

Rules

As with all of our giveaways, there are some rules:

  1. Every comment must be relevant to this article, giving examples of what you look forward to in Legion and what you enjoyed in the past.
  2. The first giveaway will end on the 29th of March at 23:59 GMT.
  3. Only one comment will be counted per person.
  4. Comments on the linked articles will also be included in the draw if they are relevant to the topics.
  5. Commenting on multiple topics will not increase your chances of winning.
  6. The winner will be drawn randomly from all the comments that are deemed "acceptable".
  7. It is at our discretion which comments will be deemed acceptable, based on the extent to which they stay relevant to this article.
  8. We will not release the dates on which the keys will be released, as Blizzard have requested us not to do so.
  9. We do not know when the Beta will start, so please do not analyse our article hoping to find that. It's not there.
  10. The comments section will be checked via a bot used in previous giveaways, so multiple comments will be found.
  11. We have tools to detect cheating, so please don't bother.
  12. We reserve the right to stop anyone competing if we believe they are cheating.

Legion Information

If you're struggling for inspiration or you haven't been able to explore some of the information being released from the Alpha, we've made sure to give you a few pointers below:

Players will be equipped with the mightiest weapons of Azeroth, the artifact weapons, each tied to our classes with a unique link in lore. If you're looking to find some additional information on the lore behind your weapons, as well as some of the alternatives, you can always check out the artifact series we featured!

If the artifacts aren't quite tantalising enough, there's always the swathe of new dungeons being introduced with the expansion, such as the Arcway.

Still not excited? You must be a PvPer then! Worry not, there's a sparkling new prestige system being introduced, as well as a number of changes to the way PvP will work from now on.

Still? You're a tough one to please. Maybe you prefer a more pacifist route through Azeroth? You'll be able to enjoy more costumes and outfits than ever before with the new transmogrification and wardrobe systems

You can also check out the interviews I had with Venruki, Treckie and Tegu in our "Will Legion Save WoW?" article. You'll get perspectives on changes from some of the best players in the world in both PvP and PvE!

Before you enter, make sure that your computer is up to scratch for the Legion client by checking the system requirements.

While I'm not entering, I'll never miss out on a chance to take part in the fun! Personally, my favourite part in Legion so far and what I am looking forward to most is the lore surrounding certain characters. I don't want to put spoilers into this post, but you can check out the fate of some of them in our spoilers posts (Part 2). As a favourite moment of WoW, it would have to be the moment I first saw C'thun. The constant taunting as you approach, his appearance, it was just amazing. That for me is the peak of nostalgic feeling towards this game.

That's it from me. Good luck to you all and I can't wait to read your replies!

I am ready to play the new expansion LEGION  !!!!

 Ayyy Legion!

So let us cut right to it.. What my opinion on Legion so far is that.. The lore looks so good and with the chronicle coming out (No spoilers duh), I can’t wait to see what the broken isles have to offer. So far I have been spoiling myself with the lore in legion and seeing what the classes can do but what I would love is to -experience- it myself. Although it is nice to see the new stuff coming out in Legion, it is a wonder to see how WoW have grown throughout its years when you look back at Vanilla and its abilities. (And yes, I am talking to you old vanilla gangsters! Vanilla will never come back, but stop being in the past and look towards the future!) WoW itself has developed throughout its years and I am glad to be part of its community. Now ahem *bad* opinions. As there will come no weapons in Legion.. That hurt me. Imagine the weapons we could get out of broken isles and especially Nightborne and Emerald Nightmare weapons!

What I am looking forward to? Well.. Roleplay in Legion duh. Imagine the wonders when every denizen in Azeroth are in peril when Legion invades everywhere. No more peaceful Pandarens wandering in Silvermoon and hopefully no more goldshire. (Please let a huge infernal drop on Goldshire.)

My fondest memory in Warcraft History? Warcraft III the frozen throne! It is my childhood and kool-aid to my chicken. Back then I started roleplay and was already hooked to Warcraft. (Still looking forward to that Warcraft 4 *Eyes Blizzard*) Another fond memory in Warcraft would be lvling my first character in Outland. As it may now be one of the most boring zones to level, it brings warmth to my heart that such chaotic place could be fun. I enjoyed questing back then and collect various set gears for my character. (Sadly no transmog back then Q_Q) Oh memories.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
