Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Hey there!
Firstly, I want to say that deeper polarization of classes, I mean that Blizzs added to many of them new species such as shadow pries, demon lock and, of course, surv hunt, is GREAT! That what I really want to experience. Also I`m looking forward to new world legendary equip. I think it will allow us to feel free while creating new interesting and useful equip sets, and maybe even make some unusual builds based on what you have. And I really hope theory-crafting will rise again with all that legendary weps and equip, and it will make sense.

Changes done to transmog are amazing as well as locations scaling.

I`ve started with vanilla on private server and went to Shadowmoon right after BC started. And it all was really great! Especially questing. Especially after private server smile.png Then I experienced instances. Gosh, that challenge! It hooked me up!
Then we formed guild with some of my mates from that private server and started leveling for Karazhan. It was some kind of race, you know. I`ve lost it but who cared =)  With all that world PvP, with all that heroics. Heh, i`m writing it and realizing that i`m missing it a lot...
And finally i finished prequest for Kara..... and loved that raid so much! With it`s style and music. With bosses mechanics... oh, with chess of course! Firstkill of Malchezar still warms me rainy misty lonely nights. It was 3am and uncountable days and tries passed since first pull. Our RL was pretty drunk and cosplayed kind of radio presenter while DDing with ench shammy.
Don`t remember if we had some hope killing prince that day. However, we passed 2 phases in 10 but our holypriest was almost OOM. Restosham placed manatide however it was the begining of the end. MT fell. I droped down my agro with vanish. That played main role in this story.. Because after some time our ench fell, then fury. Only protpally and I left in melee zone. We droped Malchezar to 3 or 4 percent before pally killed. And after killing all other mates my time came!
Evasion is great for rogues, you know. You could tank some bosses for 15 sec. That i`ve done .... and FINALLY KILLED THAT EREDAR!  ...I shold remind you that all the fight was being commented by drunk RL. Really emotionally! Especially on last 5 seconds of my evasion...
So, 10 people got quiet for the moment of realizing that Malchezar was falling down... I breathed out my nerves...
And voice ... literally exploded with all that cheers and screams. With whooohooos and yeeeeeeys! (heh, i`m still chilling remembering it)
That! Was! Totally! Awesome!
Of course i`ts not the only one best game expirience of mine. Then there was an LK and Ulduar, Nerubians` dungeons. Renewed Nax! Cata was pretty challenging with its dungeons and interesting lore as well as plenty of rebuilded locations. Pandaria pushed me off for the first sight. However, playing it in preWoD period I regretted that haven`t played it in actual. Mostly, because of questing and lore.
And WoD... It`s OK. I really like challenge it could give with all that variety of difficulties.

So... Looking forward to Legion. To its new mechanics. To a plenty of lore. To that feelings, that WoW still could bring! I hope so...

Probably the thing I look forward most to is the story. I've always been a huge lore nerd and I've recently been reading Warcraft Chronicles Vol. 1 and it was really amazing to see how Blizzard added more detail to stories we both know and didn't know before, especially about the titans which is why I look forward to this expansion. Gonna be good seeing how the Pillars of Creation will play its part in the story.Probably one of the best moments in WoW was when I got Invincible and Big Love Rocket the same day, I couldn't believe my eyes. ) Also, I would like to give a shout out and thank you to the founders of Icy Veins, Damien and Vlad for contributing to the Warcraft community. I actually made this account only today but I've used Icy Veins so many times before for class guides and tactics. You really help everyone out and you really deserve what you have, so again, thank you for taking all the time you have to help everybody else. <3

I'm really curious about the legendaries in Legion. I hope it brings back the feeling like in vanilla finding an epic. Although I like almost most of the changes i guess. Sounds like a good expansion to me.

And one of the most memorable moments i had was killing the Lich King with a 10man raid consisting of real life friends.

Wow! No pun intended. I am looking forward to a few thing in particular when it comes to legion. First and foremost the new pvp honor level system. It looks like it has a lot of replayability to it, and there are lots of cosmetic rewards which look tasty to a collector such as myself. PVP/PVE balance should be less of an issue due to the pvp talent tree, which is brilliant.

The legion levelling zones and choice in where to level looks to be very promising with a very easy on the eye art design.

The world content and talk of world pvp objectives just sounds too good to miss, so I am looking forward to this.

The artifact weapon system, and cosmetic skins look eye-poppingly good to me and is going to be good as far as immersion and the lore behind them is spectacular.

I am overall positive about Legion and look forward to more information being released.

My favorite moment in wow history would be when voljin was made warchief, for da horde mon!

Thank you for reading my post smile.png

I'm so excited to sink my teeth into Legion content, beta or launch; whatever comes first! I think what I'm most excited for is obviously the Demon Hunter... But with talk of the new challenge mode modifiers of mobs exploding on death, all mobs berserking at 30%, etc. really gets me happy because this time around I'm going to get myself into some challenge modes as I've never done so before. The Legion hype is so ridiculously strong, it's motivating me to do everything in it, and I've really not felt like this for an expansion since Wrath.

I'm really excited for Assassination rogues in legion. I mean, I LOVE my rogue, Played her for years. I also enjoy dot specs, a lot, and love screwing around on my affli lock. It seems that Assass is becoming a dot spec, and even though it's farely simple, it looks friggen amazing! Also, new, PROPER PvP content! Arenas <3

The best moment I have experinced in wow was the first couple hours. It was either in end TBC or early wrath, I forget, but I weren't very old. I created a Tauren, Raptorx (A toon I still have today!), spent HOURS questing to thunderbluff. Up there I saw the zeppelin and took it. On the front of the zeppelin, there was this sick undead rogue. Never having played a multiplayer game before, now standing on a zeppelin, flying (without loading screen!!!) over huge tracts of land with another player was HUGE for me! I conteniued to level the tauren to 31 before I made a new toon on ally, which proceeded to be my current main. Though I have not played on Raptorx, the level 31 fury tauren warrior with gun, shield, 1h, intellect and spirit gear AND ammo, It's still a memory bomb for me.

If you for some reason want to check armory, the toon is on EU.

I am really looking forward to playing Demon Hunter. That class is defs becoming my main toon to raid on.

I am also looking forward to seeing how the pvp system works as I am mainly a pve'er but this new system has sparked my interest.

I am also interested in seeing how the new quest zoning system will work to see if it will minimise lag at launch.

Having a new shiny Dalaran will be awesome because I love the Kirin Tor. (Current main is a Mage)

Lore-wise: I am looking forward to seeing how Illidan plays into the Lore again and what ultimately happens to Gul'dan. On top of some  major lore events to take place.

Excited about all those class changes. Especially DK. Maybe finally my favorite class won't feel clunky with all those runes mess?

I'm looking forward to new achievements to work towards, how artifacts will work, and this is some of my favorite lore in the coming expansion. I've been playing WoW for 10 years now, I've been through all the expansions and waiting for a new expansion is always super exciting for me.

I can't decide what I'm most excited for in Legion, I think, aside from all the really cool changes, I'm most excited for starting an expansion with everyone and finding all of the new content (e.g. heroics) really difficult. I took a break just before Dragon Soul and missed all of MOP, eventually starting a few months before BRF was released and I feel like I missed out on so many cool moments -- I'm looking forward to having a very wide and enriched experience of Legion.

A fond memory? Finally getting LK 25 HC down after 100+ wipes. Good lord.

I think legion is the first big step forward to get subscribers back. I personally am a big geek for the lore and can't WAIT to see where the story takes us (totally gonna be avatar of sargeras as final boss). Also I'm super excited go finally play a demon hunter and use glances. The only thing I really miss from old wow days is how it forced a lot more interaction by looking for a group to do dungeons by inviting people and then summoning at a stone. And how the game forced us to explore a lot more rather than have all these convenient portals but there's probably more people who don't think the same as I do.

I'd personally like to see a mixture of the way Pandaria's questing was handled but with Warlord's story telling in each zone ultimately ending in a cinematic tying up the storyline for that zone.

I'm looking forward to a lot of different things in Legion. The DH class, the new pvp system, and the Emerald Nightmare raid all look amazing. It's awesome that after 11 years of not being able to see my druid's gear while tanking I can at least customize my appearance with the new artifact :)

I'm really excited for the minor things, that almost everyone skipped, like artifacts/skills interation with npcs (Ex: use spectral sight to see the true form of a npc) and other stuffs about rpg and fantasy the game has lost along the years. Quests, lore, raids, are all awesome and blizz never dissapoint me in that way. And i`m excited to test the Demon hunter vengeance class and my new Demonology warlock spec

Personally, I've not yet spoiled the artifact quests for myself, so I'm really looking forward to all the lore that comes with those, especially after the Warcraft Chronicles! Also Dalaran, can't forget that, since it's been a while. It used to crash some of my old guldies' games or when there were less people bring them down to 1-10 fps. Let's hope that doesn't happen this time!

With the exception of new things for the pvp aspect of the game, nearly everything in Legion got me excited.

New mounts, new pets, the artifact weapons (although im quite sad that as a fist weapon loving brewmaster tank, I'm getting a staff), hopefully a compelling story line (the yrel scene in wod gives me goose bumps still, even after watching it for the 100th time), the new transmog system (and new items for transmogging) and last but by no means least the new class demon hunter. I will compare it with my brewmaster main in regards to tanking and overall fun and as a result it might be that this will become my new main.

But the best of all is sharing every experience in legion with my fiance whose even more hyped for legion.

I am most looking forward to the new Xmog system and the new feral druid models.  Bring fairly new to WoW, my fondest memories are playing with my wife, leveling up our first toons together all the way through WoD.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
