Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to a fair few things, namely Demon Hunters and the way that the expansion seems to be very lore heavy, which is always welcomed!

And the roleplayer in me of course loves the new transmog system, will be easier for me and my poor, overstuffed bank!

I cant wait to see the changes on the Demo-Lock and hopefully play a demon-summoner-spam style in Legion.

So i cant wait to see what happens after we killed Gul`dan.

I like the actually pplaystile of the mistweaver Monk, its kinda funny :)

And i liked it when Thrall finally killed Garrosh ;P

I am hoping that the gear gets a better look.  Blizzard is amazing but their wardrobe designers need to get back to school.  The dresses are never flowing and feminine and the armor needs more of a classic old school King Arthur vision going on.

Redesign the looks to bring back the players to the game. An esthetically pleasing vision of their alts beautifully precise attacks performed in eye pleasing armor might help.  I want to feel my character is epic in both attack and look.  Some of the expansions had less than visionary looks to the outfits.  Lich King armor was depressing.  Can we have lighthearted again please ??

I'm looking forward to trying out the new Demon Hunter class since I've played quite a bit of War3 and am excited to be able to play that hero class in WoW; I also want to see how the background story of this class develops, because one of the things I've really enjoyed about the Death Knight class when it first appeared was the experience of leveling 55-58-ish in the Scarlet Enclave zone, along with the storyline from that zone.

Where to start, So many things to put down, so i guess just to write down what pops into my head. Artifact weapons; This I like a lot and am really looking forward to this (partially because i never have luck with getting weapons in raids... le sigh.. :-( ), The class hall, I'm curious to have a close look at this as well. The dungeons and raids in legion. I've seen dungeon run on alpha through twitch and was pretty impressed with what i was seeing, so hyped for those, can;t wait to dive in.. as a figure of speech ofcourse., The new wardrobe/transmog system, Woohoo i'm gonna have bank-space again!! all these tier sets and other gear i've been saving for transmog.

And even though these are all things i'm excited for, the thing that makes me really hyped for Legion is because we're taking the fight to the Legion;

For too long has the Legion hunted us, for too long have they haunted our steps. It's time we put a stop to that and take the fight to them!

FOR AZAROTH!!!

I definitely can't wait to play the new Demon Hunter class, always wanted to play an Illidan-type char. Most favourite memory of WoW has to be downing LK after months of initial struggles. Was def worth the time invested :)

I'm looking forward to adding a Demon Hunter to my list of alternate characters and playing with the artifact system. I primarily enjoyed playing healers and tanks in previous years of WoW and I'm going to be changing over to DPS for Legion as the new weapon/talent systems look rather juicy for playing DPS.

I'm very intrigued with the new Artifact system because it reminds me the old talent trees I really love from the beginning of wow! I must say that the lore is fascinating, too, since we're finally getting closer to Sargeras in a way or another!

My experience in WoW began with an undead mage back in vanilla, where the hillsbrad foothills where the contested place for the alliance to farm twinks: I really loved the atmosphere! But I cannot forget Ulduar: for me, it was the BEST raid ever created, with the addition of the hard modes, it was challenging, the lore was amazing (since we're waiting for the new hearthstone expansion, can't we mention yogg?), the bosses so cool... i really loved that time!

To be honest, what I look most forward to Legion is me being able to tank on my Blood DK again.

WoD made Blood tanking spamming Blood Boil. To me, that was boring. Now with Marrowrend, Heart/Bloodstrike, etc. Blood DKs once again are actual melee tanks and not spell-casting (Death Coil) machines.

Also, artifacts of course. Seem like a nice call-back to Vanilla talent trees.

I'm very excited to test the "new" unholy DK!

I get the feeling that Blizzard is going all out with Legion in terms of content. Can't wait!

i'm playing wow from vanilla at the age of 17...

i've played all classes along those years and i've got a lot of memories, in the first expansions i've done a lot of pvp, wolrd pvp, battlegrounds and the first arenas in tbc... i still go sometimes to ashenvale only to listen that song and remember old days... got a lot of friends in both factions, and miss a lot the vanilla comunity when there wasn't crossrealms and you got in mind every single player playing out there...i got a lot of friends that i still have contacts after they left the game, those last years i raided a lot and got more friends and a good group!

i'm really hyped about legion because i really, really love how they're trying to return the game the roleplaying factor that was going to lack... the artifacts, the class halls with specific class quests and again the rework of the specs emphasis the difference between them.

plus i've always loved the warcraft lore since warcraft 1 and i start to speculate after every announcement, and legion is surely going to lead to a strong plot twist or something big with the presence of legion, azshara and xavius and this make me smell the presence of both N'zoth and Sageras in the air!

and it isn't finished yet, i'm a really big fan of illidan and sylvanas and they got both a strong presence in the expansion, with the demon hunter playable with the illidan return...just all i want from an expansion!!!

i want to try the beta not only to try the new class but all the reworks are really interesting and i will really have bad times to chose a main at the day one if i will not try them

i want to try beta to get so many spoilers about lore because i really cant wait to know want is going to happen

i want to try beta to help on the feedback of such interesting expansions and new features because i want to really enjoy this one!

I am excited about a lot of elven lore in Legion, about survival hunters turning to melee, about new Transmog system, Emerald Nightmare. Well I guess my fondest memory is playing some RP in Stormwind park(deathwing why).with same people every evening and doing some RP raiding.

I'm looking forward to all the new class animations! Everything looks so nice, i'm super stoked. It also seems that they are giving classes more identity again, which I have missed since Cataclysm.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
