Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

First things first, I really look forward to the new transmog system. It has become a real mess to carry all the stuff around in your inventory and ofc in the void storage/bank… especially since the system was announced, because now even my alts are literally full! I also like that the new transmog will be accountwide, so you don’t have to collect the same gear over and over again if you decide to level an alt with the same armorclass/weapon. :3

Since I plan to roll a Havoc DH ph34r.png (maybe as a main), I hope it will be as awesome as it was promised. I like the idea of combining movement and damage instead of just keep standing behind the boss, waiting for the next mechanic to avoid. wub.png

Also, I’m curious about the new Legendaries and their tuning… I hope they won’t be too op while adding more depth to the gameplay at the same time

.

To name just a few of the most important additions in the past, I like to mention the nhc/hc/mythic bonus missions from the garrison and ofc pet-battles. Individually obtaining some additional items helped me to equip some of my alts, as well as getting that one item that never dropped or someone else needed, too. Collecting some cute little pets has become one of my favorite pastime activities. It was a real satisfying moment to finally beat the MoP pet tournament without using any guides and I still love my xuen-cub smile.png*purrs*  *.*

I'm mostly looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter, as well as seeing all the new class changes. Most of which sound amazing! But what I am most excited for in Legion is Illidan, as he was my favourite character in Warcraft 3. Also can't wait to try out the new zones and levelling my 11 characters to max level again.

I'm looking forward to the redesign of the rogue class. I started playing WoW mid bc and NE rogue was my first ever toon. Really excited about outlaw spec. My best and fondest memory in WoW was back in 2010 when I met my now wife. We met in a guild called slash lick. We quests together, leveled together and raided together. We got married almost 3 years ago. Thanks blizzard you made a great game and helped my meet the love of my life.

So far the thing I'm looking forward to most would be the dungeons.

As for a memory, downing ragnaros in firelands will always be my favorite.

I'm looking forward to the new druid models. The cat form and bear form improvements look awesome.

My favorite memories in WoW were when my husband and I would stealth duo stuff as a rogue and resto druid. We would sneak through instances to kill just the bosses. It was fun.

I am really excited about the Artifact play style and the story that comes with them. apart from that i am really curious about the whole story line develepment in legion. I have been playing since late TBC and always was fascinated by all the lore behind the characters

Without a doubt, the most anticipated feature coming with Legion has to be the transmog closet. I'm going to have SO. MUCH. BAG. SPACE. I don't even know what I'll do with it all!

And one of my favorite moments in WoW thus far has to be being the only person alive for our first ever Atramedes kill in Blackwing Descent. Super sloppy kills still count as a kill, right?

I'm really looking forward to testing the various specs, my main has always been either a lock or hunter but having watched hours of videos of them i'm not sure on the changes so it'll be cool to try the classes and maybe pick a new main.

In past betas i've enjoyed finding an area with high health, tough mobs and trying each class / spec to see how good they are surviving and how fast they can kill things, if they can take on more than 1 mob at a time, how their healing is etc etc

Really looking forward to demon hunter. It's a class that I've wanted to see for many years, The lore looks really rich and they look really badass.

It's all about storytelling for me, WotLK was my favourite expansion because the story was so immersive, Blizzard have struggled to capture that storytelling since, but Legion looks like a real return to form.

I can't wait to see new content, I hope that they give us enough this time around so I will have something to do everyday I log in, I like going back to dungeons honestly I hope the Rift dungeons system is put in well so every time we do it its not just a speed run, and the challenges really challenging so it can give me some nostalgia and get the feeling I had in Vanilla and BC. When I did start first playing in vanilla I liked that their was so much content to do, it was all out their all we had to do is go get it. No LFR no I pay 15 dollars a month I should see the boss stuff. Pretty much if you can do the content if you can defeat this bosses then you can see the end game. I like that I loved that journey, gave us something to strive for. Looking at the guys decked in t3 with thunderfury, gave us something to go for. Same in TBC the attunement  gave you something to do everyday, I hope it is on that same level. I hope we don't get the same thing and get two patches of raiding and content and then a drought and blizzard working on the next expac saying this is a lost cause xpac. I love this game I really do I just hope blizzard fixes the problems. I also hope that we go back to single mode raids, but hey thats just a dream. I'm cautiously optimistic about legion I hope blizzard doesn't let us down again.

most fun memory past: convincing my brothers, sister and sister in law to start playing (TBC)

then all starting a bloodelf together (eventho i had a lvl 70) and going on an epic adventure :)

sometimes i converted to raid so i could pretend i was a gamemaster talking to them trough raidwarning :P (they were so clueless)

Most looking forward to in Legion: altho there isnt much im not looking forward :P

i am especially looking forward to the new pvp system and the new dungeon  system.

will be fun to see how hard mode we can make dungeons and what the rewards will be :)

and finally the people who have always outgeared me instead of outskilled me in pvp will pay with blood :D

Can't wait for Legion biggrin.png  I'm looking forward to lots of things, probably too many to list! I'm excited for the class changes that are coming, from what I've seen announced it should make some of my (many) alts a lot more fun to play. I'm also looking forward to the lore aspect.. I LOVE the story behind WoW, it always amazes me the detail and complexity that the Blizz team is able to build in and still have it believable. I feel like the actual "RPG" aspect of the MMORPG has been missing of late, the new emphasis that Blizz said they were putting on feeling like a 'hero' and focusing on what's special and defining about your class is also something I've been looking forward to as classes have felt homogenized in recent expansions as Blizz tries to pursue class balance and make everyone happy all the time.

In the past what I've enjoyed most about WoW are the stories, the ability to play different alts/factions and have that give you the ability to experience the game in a completely different way. I miss doing 5-mans and raids with the guild, LFR is convenient but was the kiss of death for our guild as the most frequent players fell for the siren song of loot, and became only interested in running LFR over and over and over, quickly becoming too overgeared for the rest of the guild to keep up. I miss the days of ICC and Ulduar.

And Naxx. Especially nekkid tanking when the tank was dancing in his skivvies, waiting for the rest of the raid, and accidentally danced too close...XD Best wipe ever

I have played each prot/guardian class in all the expansions, starting with warrior, going over to druid, testing pala and then stopped playing my blood dk, i´m interested in the protection demonhunter to see if it will make as much fun as it sounds like and maybe, make it my new main^^

also the new way to skill weapons sounds like hard work, not easy for casual players, who have to work all day long and play wow just to relax in the free time.

I've been watching video of the 5 man dungeons coming in legion.  It's kind of crazy to might how night and day they are some of them are to each other in terms of fun and difficulty.  It's almost as if Blizzard has two different teams working on them: A novice team who came over from the remnants of Titan and the Pros who have been making WoW dungeons since Deadmines.  However, that's just youtube, nothing beats actually experiencing it.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
