Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm most looking forward to playing the demon hunter class. Been looking forward to demon hunter since they were announced. My favorite WoW memory has to be the Warlords of Draenor launch. I know that a lot of people had some terrible experiences with the launch but for me it was the first time I was at the new content at the start of the expansion. Leveling alongside all the other players on my server and racing to 100 to be one of the first people to be running max level dungeons and heroics was such a great experience. i'm looking forward to doing it again in Legion

Really looking forward to Legion. I have to say this is the most change Blizzard has done in any expansion. All classes are getting revamped with new spells, new specs and a entirely different experience with each class. It makes me want to actually start from level 1 and level again and learn what each class is truly all about. I look forward to finding my class calling in Legion. I hope to see world PvE events. Something random that happens every week or so. I'm into PvP a lot but I'd love to have something more for PvE besides just questing and grinding dungeons & raids.

I look forward to the moonkin changes in Legion.Moonkin has been my main since early WotLK but I just couldn't enjoy the moonkin playstyle in PvE in WoD, so I only played PvP as moonkin and did PvE on my alt resto shaman. But the moonkin changes in Legion look very promising so I hope it'll be great in both PvE and PvP. I'm also looking forward to exploring the new areas and I'm very excited about the story, both the main storyline but also the artifact story, I haven't read or watched anything about it yet because I want to explore it for myself

I've a bit apprehensive about the ability crunch although the the class updates are the main thing i'm looking forward too. I hope the new direction doesn't kill WoW

I am pretty much looking forward to everything about this expansion. My main is a Warlock so how kick A$$ is it that I am gonna ride around on a felhunter mount. My bank will finally be empty because all my gear will be able to be sold/deleted and of course a new char slot for a Demon Hunter

For Legion, I am really looking forward to how the artifact system will pan out. I am very excited about being able to wield the most powerful of weapons in the realm to try and stop the Burning Legion once again. This expansion does hit me with some nostalgia from the Burning Crusade expansion. It was my first time being in a high-end raiding guild, and I thought that that was the most fun ever in the game with people I actually wish I could keep in contact with. Anything with the Legion as the antagonist in the story makes it a very compelling time to be playing the game

The double jumping and warglaives look really interesting (now that there will be more then the legendary). One of my favourite expansions was MoP. Pandas were so cool and SoO played out really well.

I think Legion is going to be an amazing expansion, just from what I have seen on Youtube/Twitch the expansion just looks awesome. It's bringing the new transmog system, artifact weapons, class halls, Demon Hunters, and many different things. All of this stuff is sweet but the thing I am most excited about is the new transmog system, it just makes it so it's a lot easier to collect gear and we don't have to keep it in our bags. Since I have 11 lvl 100s (one of each class) it will always keep me busy collecting the tier sets/items my characters can use, plus the tabards and shirts. Demon Hunters are also the thing I am most excited about, I just need to double jump and have glaives haha. I love how Blizzard is bringing back Dalaran as the new hub in the expansion, it reminds me of when I would always hang out with guildies/friends there back in WOTLK. (The music in Dalaran is one of my favorites in the game). Back in WOTLK I was newish to the World of Warcraft, I mained a DK and would mash buttons ( I didn't know my rotation ok :c) and I ran a dungeon (Drak'Tharon Keep). while I was doing this dungeon a friendly player noticed my low dps and was seeing what was happening. He told me to keep my dots up and use a certain move (I can't remember at the moment what the move was called) it greatly boosted my dps and it gave me a better understanding of the class and showed me that there is nice people in the World of Warcraft. Anyways thanks for the giveaway

I'm looking forward to quite a few things in Legion.  Primarily I really like what I'm seeing from the artifact weapon system.  I feel that there are enough choices with the different models each weapon has to give variety, and we can still transmog their appearance if we like.  The second thing I'm looking forward to is confronting some more of the higher ranking leaders within the Burning Legion.  I just got the new book and am starting to get into the lore much more than I ever have.  It looks like good times are coming for lore fans

Because Illidan is my FAVORITE ever. I even have a tattoo of him on my back right shoulder. Also the new PvP system sounds different and sometimes change is good.

I'd say what I'm most looking forward to in Legion is Blizzard making class spec fit their fantasy more.  On Live I only like the feel of a few specs, but I like the look of most of them in Legion. My fondest memory would be getting Glory of the Ulduar Raider.  It was either in WotLK or Cata, in a large group. It took 8-10 hours from what I remember, and it was super fun

Looking forward to the artifact weapon system, new maps, toys, and all the new things in Legion. After 300 mounts and 240 toys collected in Draenor, there will be much more to collect in Legion.

I'm looking forward to my class' changes in Legion - I main a Windwalker Monk - and the new mastery sounds quite exciting. I'm a bit sad to see some of the micromanagement with the SEF spirits and tigereye brew gone, but overall it should streamline the spec a lot. Another thing that's huge for me in Legion is that it'll be the first expansion where I'm actively raiding from the beginning. I only started raiding with HFC this tier, and made it to mythic. Hopefully the future holds bright things

Man I can't wait for the overhauled UI!

Also the updated Gear and the skins, I'm all about that Transmog and having the ability to make my characters look unique! Hopefully I can take part in this Beta with the aid of you guys! I've been itching to get back into WoW again and enjoy all the new content :) Thanks for the giveaway!

I joined WoW towards the end of WotLK and ever since have mained a Death Knight. I told myself I would never switch mains until the implementation of another hero class and looks like that is finally happening

I personally cant wait to play Windwalker in legion, as well as I cant wait for the new raids that the expansion will offer with the new addition of artifacts.

Looking back, since WoD is my first expansion and have only been raiding in HFC, I can say my favorite has to be my first kill ever on Archimonde with the guild, it was such a cool experience since that was my first ever experience in WoW. Hopefully Legion will bring alot of cool things, all I can say is, its gonna be a fun time.

I am EXTREMELY  excited for gnome hunters. I don't know why but I just think it would be hilarious to see. But the mech pets is going to be pretty awesome. PVP is probably one of my favorite aspects of WoW atm so the prestige system is kinda worrisome but also exciting

I'm pumped for legion to bring raiding back to the burning crusade days when it was fun while being difficult at the same time. I'm also excited for balance druid to be fun again and I'm excited to try the new Astral Power system to bring control back to the caster

I personally am looking forward to being able to finally use Lightbringer after maining a paladin for years, it's finally bringing all the hype to life and I cannot wait to use it. And one of my most fondest moments in world of Warcraft would defiantly be downing Arthas on ICC heroic after weeks of guild progression, still gives me chills today the feeling was unreal. I'm really hoping to get some of the same feeling in Legion.

My favorite memory in WoW was right before my first raid. I had recently hit 60 on my mage, and didn't yet have the last water spell (mages were basically water coolers at the time), so a few guildies stayed up half the night with me to run Dire Maul and get the needed spell. After succeeding, we had a brief sleep and were in Molten Core a mere hours later. It was good bonding, and paid off since I was one of the only mages in the guild who had it.

In legion, I'm most excited about the new druid artifact forms. My druid could use some new flair besides fire cat form!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
