Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to so many things. The updated profession system looks great, the new mog-wardrobe will mean I can collect many more mogs since bank space is a serious issue at the moment and also not forgetting I get to wield the most awesome weapon ever: Doomhammer!

My fondest memory is from BC, I got pulled into the High King Maulgar fight since the guild needed more bodies, it was my first ever raid experience, I had very little clue to what I was doing but it was all so wonderful when, after many wipes, he died. It would take years before I raided again but that memory has stuck with me as one of the most exhilarating moments ever in my WoW life.

I am looking forward to the epic wardrobe system and perhaps the new PvP system will make me return from that PvP retirement. Also looking forward to try out the new Demon Hunter class. I haven't read any spoilers or watched any streams, I want to discover all that myself... on the beta.

Well, I remember that druid class quests that were my favourite quests in the game. Also liked the night elf questlines in general and Moonglade which I still like.

I'm looking forward to playing the artifact quest chain with all of my characters, class revamps and the changes to the PvP system. I liked the slow pace WoW used to have before Cata, but since I'm older and don't have that much time anymore, these casual changes really suit me more now. :) Legion is gonna be awsome!

Happy birthday btw. :)

As a lore junkie I am looking forward to all the new lore. I can't wait to see all the big lore figures finally in-game such as Alonsus Faol and Calia Menethil to name a few.. I am also looking forward to the class diversity with most of the talents now being unique to each spec.

One of my fondest memories in WoW was leveling through the barrens for days on end while reading all the Chuck Norris jokes in the zone chat. Since I was on a PvP server back in vanilla I'd always run back to the Crossroads to see all the fighting between the Horde and Alliance when world PvP was still a popular activity. I miss the epicness and wonder of not knowing much about the game and spending so much time trying to find groups for some difficult quests. The music and feel of the Barrens is so embedded in my mind, I just love it so much.

I'm really looking forwards to the class changes to my class: Holy Paladin; i'm excited to do the soloing content in Shockadin mode (like in Vanilla and Tbc); also, i'm positive about the new role of the Holy Paladin in the pve content and i looking forward to test the new melee-range/heal synergies.

Also can't wait to enjoy again Karazhan!!

I'm looking forward to so many changes in Legion. Seperate balancing between PvP and PvE will be the biggest I think, classes getting nerfed in PvE because of PvP has never been fun. Also looking to see how well Consecration pans out in AOE scenarios for Retribution. The diablo style transmog system has been long overdue, and hopefully they will implement dies in the future!

I'm realy excited with reworked elemental shamans.

I started playing in pandaria and really loved that spec for its animation and rotation with thousands of procs, chan lightings and so on. But I was really upset what Blizzard did with shaman in draenor, so i rerolled into paladin, but playing holy fighter is not so challenging. So i realy hope in legion elemental shaman will rock again!

P.S. Ashbringer too. Lots of Ashbringers....

P.P.S. And thanks for this awesome helpful portal. Using it since i started playing.

From my perspective Legion is really good and natural upgrade from WoD. When I first saw garrison concept I thought this is the thing that we really needed and the breakthrough of the game, but after some time people stated it is "Warlords of boredom".

With the class halls, they are fixing it in the right direction. The only thing that I am afraid is that I might need to Lvl up all classes so I can be part in evert lore ^^.

Tegu mentioned some specifics like "Blackhand fights". I agree that is not really melee friendly but it is one of the tensest fights where the adrenaline is up to the max and you are never bored with the fight.

From the Alpha build, I am only afraid that developers used too much effort in the artifact weapons lore and once you get it will be a distant memory and you will never come back to it. I mean 11x3 = 33 different aspects. Hope that will not affect the other content. First impressions from the screenshots it appears they have not smile.png.

Also to mention that in WoD I expected much from Nerzhul (aka the first Lich), in the alternate universe there won't be Lich King???? One of the most bad ass warlords killed like a joke? Hope that I will not see now.

I am really hyped for Legion mainly because it is fixing the garrison boredom to more interactive place and uniqueness of artifacts in our challenge of defeating the LEGION!

Looking forward to all the "new" specs and classes in Legion, especially my beloved Warrior :D

There are so many changes, you basically get a few new classes, imo Blizzard never invested so much effort in a single expansion.

But there are some concerns also, like how easy will it be to maintain maxed out artifact weapons for every relevant raid spec of your class, as i doubt every spec of a class will be balanced for all encounters.

I NEED TO KNOW ... i don't wanna be like John Snow !

No srsly i want to know how to manage the new class, maybe will be needed by me and my guild to do more progress in Legion. And i love being a fashion tauren/orc on WoW so i must try the wardrobe.

Legion is coming...

Really interested in exploring the new changes to holy paladin. It has been a very long time since holy paladins have had a major revamp like they have received in legion. It will be fun to relearn the spec.

What am I looking forward to in Legion? Well everything! As a raider who is interested in the lore , casual pvp , exploring , and mount collecting . Legion brings a whole lot of new things to the game. Spec changes that are considered new specs in some cases. The new pvp prestige system will definitely make me play more pvp specially if the artifact skin reward is cool. I wanna know what will happen to sylvanas, greymane , voljin , and all the others So far the expansion looks really promising and blizzard has really put a lot of work into it . As for a memorable moment of course defeating blackhand heroic (hence the name) ;)

Hope to see you guys in game.

Excited for new tanking class!

Tanked with warrior in vanilla/tbc, paladin in wotlk, druid in cata, monk in mop, and now going to main DH tank in Legion.

Hope they bring something new to the tanking table for me!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
