Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What I am looking forward to the most is the new wardrobe feature, because, as I understand it, I will have all of the armor I have collected over the years - even the ones I have sold.   I have been playing on and off since 2004, and I hope in Legion it will take a while to level - I used to enjoy getting to know the story lines, but now you level so fast you miss a good chunk of lore. My favorite pastime in WoW was when you had different crafting options: Example: Weapon crafter: Sword master, Axe master, or Mace master

I'm looking forward to play Legion mainly because the PvP overhaul with new talents and such. I can't wait to try the new feral druid with resto affinity so I can keep myself alive between feral cooldowns or while I'm being focused, I think it will be extremly fun and entertaining.

I have known the game since WotLK (and I've played a bit), but I didn't get a suscription until Cata, so I still consider myself relatively new. What I miss the most are the old BGs and the people who played them, when heirlooms were very rare and very few people had them so they felt like real super heroes. Hopefully BGs get better with this expansion so I can enjoy them as much as I did back in those days!

I can't wait to play legion with my friends, to try the new dungeons and go raiding with them. I'm also very excited to wield the doomhammer with my favourite class the enhancement shaman and see the changes on him in game. My best wow Memories are the long nights raiding with friends, the old days of world pvp where my friends and I faced near endless waves of the horde and got succeeded but never gave up.

I really can't wait for new content to help bring some more of my guild back. It's my guild that really makes it for me in this game, they're such a wonderful group of people but understandably a lot of them are pretty burnt out on the games and a few have gone into hibernation waiting for legion. As for my fondest memories, hard to top way back in wrath when my guild dragged my butt through the lich king fight. "No king can rule forever my son"

Hello IcyVeins!!

I am very excited for Artifact Weapons coming in Legion. I actually am having a very hard time deciding to play my go to Resto Shaman or Bear Tank! I am also very excited for the dungeons, they look awesome. I love how they are going to scale if we would use those keystones on them or whatever they are, giving us more to do and a nice challenge.

Fondest memory.... I have always ran my own guild with friends although one time when everyone kind of stopped ( During TOT ) I made a lot of new friends and joined a new guild for the time being. We downed Lei Shen together and it was amazing! Probably the most exciting memory for me with a new guild and that WOO feeling of downing the final boss.

Hope for the key, would be so awesome :) Thanks!

I am as excited for Legion as I was when I first started am honestly really interested in what future it holds. I am also apprehensive as when I first started playing. I started back in 2007 and my first character was a combat rogue. Why a rogue? Because it was the complete antithesis to who I am in real life. A rogue is carefree and will sell his skills to the highest bidder.  The go where the wind blows or their interests lay. I started out as a bad rogue. I wore any piece that was leather.  Prior to this I had only played FPS games and the MMO stuff was just a fad. Why would anyone pay 15 bucks a month to continue to play a game?  Since then I have learned why, am a total convert and while I have had breaks here and there. I still come back to the game that captured my imagination and let it run wild. I'm slightly apprehensive because the spec that I love is going through some significant changes. While I'm excited to see what they are, and how they will play. I'm scared that it will be so different that something that I have come to love so dearly will not be to my liking.  While I've read some but not a whole lot. I try not to spoil Christmas day. In that I really like to experience things hands on, fresh from the packaging. I have faith that Blizzard will make something awesome, but at the same time it is almost like someone is telling me I get to go on a special trip to the vets. Anyway. That is my story. Hope it is worthy. I'd love to be able to get a first peak at what Blizzard has created.

I am excited to experience the changes to my main class the warlock. Cannot wait to get in there and start experimenting with the new skills and tablets. My favorite memory would have to be molten core guild runs. I never want to go back to 40 man raids but it was quite an experience to partake in.

For the first time I'am really hyped for an expansion. Legion looks perfect to me and I really want to be a part of the beta test.

I look forward to the whole lore because after Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor there finally is the fact that the main story will continue.

Furthermore I do not want to just play the beta. I want to help the developer to fix problems. That's why a beta is a beta, it's not for playing the content to just sit back and relax. I think this is a big problem when we look at other games and beta invites.

When I look back, the best moment for me was in Classic. Sure what else? ^^ I started to play the game and I had so much fun just in creating a unique character. Everything was new. Every single thing you could loot was important to increase your characters power.

This will be the first expansion that I will get to play as it comes out, so I am looking forward to discovering all the new stuff along with the rest of the WOW community.

I am most looking forward to being able to wield The Ashbringer on my Retribution Paladin in Legion. Paladin's have such great lore and this will look great with my Lightbringer armor. As far as favourite moments so far, I cherish most the memories when myself and 3 of my close friends all played WoW at the same time back during WotLK. Running a dungeon was just so much fun back then

I can't wait to see how unholy death knights play, its always frost but Hopefully they even out the unbalance and we get to choose for playstyle but have the same damage. I also want to see what archeological rare items we can get, like a new mount maybe or demon artifacts?

I started playing in the middle of wrath of the lich king so i can see how the difference in the leveling area's will make questing fun and not all the same. I'm still pumped for legion even if other are not.

Hi there,              Lets start off at i've played this game from really early vanilla. It was awsome back then i was running a dwarf hunter with a bear pet. This was the first game i played as this type around a mates place and next payday i was hooked i took a little time off during mists and draenor. But all in all i have loved this game through all its stages and will continue to do so for many years to come. When it comes to Legion theres heaps of changed i would love to check out before release. But if i dont it will be just as awsome on day 1 of release also. Artifacts is what i am excited about and finally a wardrobe now i can get all tabards and older sets out of void storage and bank slots i am not gonna belive how much stuff is in there.Broken isles looks like its gonna be fun also with the lving of areas lving with you so all content is the same. No more running into a zone and getting ?? mobs killing us hahaha fun times.Thre new pvp system i hope will work out as a vanilla grand marshal player havent honestly pvp'd as much since then it'll be good to check it out

Cannot wait to try out all the new class changes with artifact weapons. The weapon progression was a great idea and adding different transmog looks amplified it. Raid will be good as always but hoping for cool and challenging dungeons that keep up during the expansion.

Well, apart from all the obvious stuff that everyone is looking forward to like the amazing Wardrobe, the brilliantly designed Artifact weapons (Felo'melorn!), the beautiful Order Halls (Hall of the Guardian = major nerdgasm) and, naturally, the brand new raids and dungeons, what I look forward to the most is the music.

Something I've always enjoyed in World of Warcraft is the unique, authentic music in all the different zones and for all the different races. I not only listen to it, but I play it on the piano and I'm very passionate about it. In Wrath of the Lich King, we had the beautiful "Invincible", in Cataclysm "Jaina's Homeland", in Pandaria it was the awesome login screen music and in Warlords of Draenor the epic Stormshield theme (which had a new take on Jaina's theme, a more march-like theme!). And, of course, the classics like the inn melody! I guess I might be one of the rare players that actually have the sound on while playing, but I really can't wait to hear the music of Legion because if it's anything like the expansion itself, it'll be EPIC!

As for my fondest memory from World of Warcraft, well, I don't know, it's very difficult to choose, but I can't pick just one. It would have to be a series of memories. All the times I spent with my best friend, Hymnos, and the times I will spend with him in Legion! Because if it weren't for him, I never would've seen the beauty which is Oslo! <3

This game really does bring people together from all around the globe and provides opportunities which otherwise would be impossible to get which is exactly why I keep playing it and I will continue to do so until its last day. :)

What I look forward the most to legion, is the class overhauls. Specifically druid. Being able to once again be versatile in more roles, being able to use other special abilities related to other specs. Finally! I can be a true Druid again! :)

What I miss from the past, has to be the people I've met over the years. They have gotten me through some really tough times in my life. In the game itself WoTLK always stands out to me the most. It was during a time in my life where I needed the game to just get away and raiding with some great people I was able to do just that.

I would wholeheartedly like to congratulate IceVeins on 5 years first and for most.Secondly, I have a great feeling that Legion is going to be a great expansion, and I look forward to getting into it whenever I can. I really hope Fury Warriors feel. And yes. PvP Excites me again for the first time in a few expansions.

I've been playing WoW since Wrath and my very favorite part of the game is the moment you enter a new expansion. That's what I'm looking forward to the most, the feeling of a new chapter, a new journey!

I got into the WoD beta pretty late, messed around on it a bit. It was interesring but once the game launched, it was thrilling and I just want to experience that again!

As for a favorite memory, it was definitely the time period I spent raiding in Siege. Siege lasted longer than it should have but I experienced it on every difficulty. It kept the raid exciting! It was constant progression. I didn't have the best raid group but we were all friends enjoying the content, probably more than most people were. Just ten people having a good time :) and it was my favorite!

I am looking forward to a lot in Legion, but the new Challenge Mode system looks very exciting!

Seeing how you can increase difficulity each week if you succeed your level, and the fact that blizzard announced possible "random events" like "all party members take damage over time throughout the dungeon", I feel like CMs might give wow a huge replayability even raid progress may have lacked throughout the years.

My fondest memory would have to be the pure amazement I had the first time i played wow. So much to do, so many places to explore, I was truly in love as it was my first mmo. That feeling is one i really miss and hope to recapture in Legion. Looking forward to the new kitty artifacts and finally being able to see some armor on my cat

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
