Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Personally, I'm very excited to try out the combination of the new class toolkits and the new PvP systems. I hope that it revitalizes the game's PvP, which has always been the main draw of the game for both me and my friends. My best memory of WoW is probably when I got over 2k rating in 3s for the first time. However, I absolutely loved doing random battlegrounds in Wrath, I was definitely not the best player around, but simply being able to fight other players was a novelty for me. I'm hugely nostalgic to WoW during Wrath but I've never truly lost a love for the game. Also, DK obv best class in game no matter what ppl say

I remember my first time playing this game.. it was in cataclysm and i just wanted to try out the game.. i had no idea what to do so i kept wandering around as a blood elf. Later on i realized there was a map and the map was so freaking large i wanted to see it all. How I saw it all was funny though. I actually got to level 20 and swam across the whole continent to booty bay. I kept dying and travelling as a spirit and stuff it was so fun.. for a first timer atleast. Anyways, when i started to get my own money I subbed at the beginning of mop and got a panda monk up to 90 just by questing. No heirlooms no gold for mounts no nothing. Took me 2 months and later on i discovered the invention of dungoens. I joined the game on june 2014 and got my friend to play with me as a paladin and i a warrior. Its then that WoD came out and we boosted other characters. My experrience on this got so fun i started to be afraid i get addicted. Thank God WoD got all boring. Now tho ive been seeing the druid models for legion and the rest of the artifacts, the graphics, the gameplay and the order halls.. im so excited for the expansion and would be very happy to get a beta key and be one of the first to try the game :D

I'm actually really excited about the Artifact system. I liked the older talent trees (even though everyone basically took the same optimal talents) and the artifact weapons seem like a good system for a bit of character progression past max level.

I also really like the idea of challenge modes. As someone who can't play for very long periods of time to get into a legitimate raid, short spurts of 5-man content progression is right up my alley.

All the new animations and sounds they've added also look incredible.

Can't wait to finally see some action in the Emerald Dream and some new cool looking dragon bosses. Also interested in the changes coming for the classes, especially the monk.

Legion looks like a lot of fun to me. Can wait to see some new and interesting life be put back into the game. Finally my enhancement shammy will be able to wield the great power of the Doomhammer, super pumped. Legion has so much promise and I know the Blizzard team has been working their asses off to make this happen. Always been a blizzard gamer and always will.

I'm looking forward to wield the legendary artifacts, play the demon hunter class because it reminds me of my demonology warlock's metamorphosis that will be removed. I hope that legion will fix all of WoD's mistakes, i'm exited to try out the new dungeons, as well as the edited specs (new demo lock and many more). I like the new leveling system because the player can choose any zone to start with which won't make players bored from repeating the same leveling path over and over with each character.

I can't wait to get to know more about the lore of the new artifacts, what will happen between the ebon hold and the forsaken, and stromgarde in general. I hope for the best, and if it is in my fate to test, then I shall

One of my favorite things in WoW has always been exploring class builds and rally trying to tweak them and find out what did me best. With class changes for each expansion it always starts over again and Legion is poised to be the biggest change yet. I'm most looking forward to getting my hands on the classes so I can sink my teeth into them and see which flavor I really like the most. In the past, I had my first experience with this playing a fury warrior until Cataclysm when my blood DK really stole my heart by responding well to creative stat choices and talent builds. Getting into early beta would give me more time for testing and possibly an opportunity to help shape my favorite specs. That's the dream, right?

Things that I enjoyed in the past, was levellin in the new zones, I mean from Cataclysm to Warlords of Draenor. There are enjoyable quests, where we not only grind quests, but other kinds of quest. I started playing on WoD, but I really like pretty much everything that is in game. I really enjoy endgame and doing old raids to Glory, Loremaster, Battle pets, reputation.

In Legion I will totally enjoy the revamped classes. They look really good and I think they are being changed to good. I can´t wait to try them out. Also Artifact weapons look really good and it is great idea, with them we can feel special and strong. Also the new zones are fascinating, I can´t wait to explore them. Also in WoW I really like lore, so I am really excited what will happen in Legion.

It's gonna be hard to just pick one thing I'm looking forward to most from Legion, although I've gotta with go with this whole new class fantasy. It's probably the number one reason I want in the beta to be honest. Unlike some people I adore when classes see a massive and impressive overhaul, it adds a freshness to some classes that I'd of otherwise had little interest in. Couple that freshness with the impressive, visually and audible, changes to melee combat and I've been sold for a while. As a self-professed melee-addict I've been incredibly pleased to see and hear all the changes to animations and effects for melee. It's about time! :p

I've kept up as much as I can with the classes that I love, their ups and down and it has me chomping at the bit to get in there and see what they're like now. As exciting as it is it's most likely also the most dreadful. Finding positive changes in classes you've passed on in the past and hoping that your current favorite specs remain good, top my list.

I wish all contest winners good luck and no matter what I always appreciate the sense of community these little giveaways provide. All of us banding together to express things that all really just show off our love for the game. Good and bad.

As someone who gets the most enjoyment out of gold farming, I'm looking forward to finding new farming spots as well as the new profession overhauls. One of my fondest memories of the game was my first time hitting 100k gold on one character back in early MoP. Another great memory was my first raiding experience in Ulduar. Still one of my favorite raids of all time!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
