Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I have to say im exited for all the class changes and the new artifact system. I would test everything the beta has to offer and would love to find those fun bugs too :D. I'm mostly a pvper but pve is fun too.

Retribution paladin getting all the new changes makes me really eager to try it out and see how it works in pvp.

I think the Legion honor system is the item i'm most looking forward too. There will be more pvp progression, vanity items, titles etc. Another thing i'm quite excited for is all the new class identity that legion is bringing via the class halls and artifact weapons.

Hm, I have to say I'm looking forward to the changes they're talking about with challenge mode dungeons, where they appear to be a completely viable alternate gearing method for smaller-group content. While they may have talked about Hearthstone as inspiration, it definitely sounds like they're taking some pages from Diablo 3's greater rifts. As a warlock main, I also have to say I am hoping the new Demonology is fun to play, as it certainly sounds pretty neat. As to fondest memories of Warcraft-past, I loved leveling my warlock in Burning Crusade and seeing what demons at the forge camps I could and couldn't enslave. There were some pretty strong demons that made some questing rather easier, and it really reinforced the class fantasy that the developers are hoping to push with Legion

I was really excited back when Cataclysm came out. All the new graphics, new races and remastered quests made it the best expansion for me. I was really excited to kill Deathwing until the last patch came out and I was disappointed...

I'm looking forward the most in Legion to the combat changes and the new animations. They look really nice.

Also I will be finally able to travel to Emerald Dream, in the new raids. I've always wanted to do that...

Don't blame me for the bad grammar (if there is bad grammar), I'm Romanian.

I'm really looking forward to Demon Hunters finally being added to WoW in Legion. I've been wanting this class since I first learned about Illidan back in BC. I'm a huge fan of melee DPS and mobility. I'm also a sucker for wings and demon forms.

I've played WoW on and off since Burning Crusade. The most I played was probably Wotlk, MoP towards the end of it, and like half of WoD (I really wanted to enjoy WoD, but i just couldn't). As a guy who plays many MMOs, WoW always brings me back at some point. There's just something about the story, the characters, and the gameplay that just draws me back in. I mostly prefer to play action MMOs, but WoW is my one exception.

As a PvPer, I'm really looking forward to the PvP changes, new arenas, and prestige/talent system. I'm mostly a casual battleground player, but in Legion, I might get serious and hit up the arenas.

I also like what Blizzard is doing with the specalizations by making them more unique. Survival Hunter and Outlaw Rogue look very intersting, and I hope to try them out at some point.
As of WoD, I was maining a Rogue. But in Legion, soo many classes look intersting to me. I'm planning on maining Demon Hunter of course, but I'm going to need to find time to play my WW Monk and Rogue as well. Warrior is also looking pretty good (especially with those new animations!).

Greetings fellow players, I must say that having a chance on this beta would be fenomenal. Usually I have always rather waited for release than play beta, enter the new zones and engage the new content fresh, but By all the Titans!!! This is too much, since the start of wow in 2004 I have waited for demon hunters to be part of us, always believed it! I am certain to enjoy all that legion has to offer and experiencing all that content as a demon hunter in beta will be simply amazing!! Can't wait to delight in the beauty of the new landscapes and bring Havoc to the Legion.

FOR AZEROTH!!

The changes Legion will bring to weaponry makes me kinda sad, I liked the feeling of getting a new better weapon. However the new content that comes with upgrading your Artifact Weapon creates more to do in my WoW spare time which I have greatly missed in WoD. I am a raider and the many hours of not raiding can be tough when you have nothing to do outside raiding with all the new content Legion seems to show, I and many others can stay dedicated to WoW and finally achieve the best feeling from Raiding: The feeling of clearing raid tiers with your mates!

I'm looking forward to the new talent system and how artifact lines up with it. In other words, by having arctifact weapon means that players will no longer switch specs so that they can deal with the encounter in a best way, but that they'll have to change talents in a spec so it suits the fight, not the entire spec. I could be wrong, but I think Blizzard wants a player to have the freedom to play the spec that he wants and if encounter requires it, to change talents in a spec so it suits the fight, not the entire spec. Some classes had this problem, some didn't, but I hope it gets solved this way. Either way, what I'm looking forward even more is, if you guys manage it, to have guides for specs or at least brief overview to know how the spec will play. I always take a look at this site to see how the spec is played and I hope I'll be able to do so when Legion comes out.

I can't wait until i can level my NE druid in Val'sharah and Suramar. I've read the War of the Ancients trilogy and want to experience the zones and lore for myself!

Plus the Sycthe of Elune, that's awesome too!

Now after WoD i feel more skeptic towards the new wow content but so far i like the PvE content that has been shown in the alpha. But i feel like the class design feels very hit or miss, for instance i love what they have done with the warlock but i dislike the changes to paladin. But i hope that the WoW development team will get out from the hole they dug themselves in WoD and that Legion becomes a great gaming experience.

I am really looking forward to play the Demon Hunter class because I am bored of all other classes (I started playing wow at the begining of The Burning Crusade and i played all classes). I need something new, and that's the Demon Hunter. I love his play-style and the transformation is awesome.

My favorite moment in wow was killing Yogg-Saron 25 for the first time during The Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The first time I killed an old god.

I am most looking forward to world content. Not to hate on the raid guys, but raiding is just not my thing. I do hope that the end game quest and artefacts give a great sense of progression without having to group up with alot of players. Of course the challange mode dungeons could be fun as well.

In the past, i always loved how you had to play alot to reach max level. Even on FFXIV i have not maxed a class in over two months (Not in actual playtime). I just love how the leveling up is the journey itself. World Of Warcraft used to have that, and i missed it.

The Cataclysm revamp of old zone was very cool as well.

Hello Dear Icy Veins and WoW Players. I started to play WoW in 2007. My best memory is when my friend showed me the World of Warcraft. When i tried a new world opened to me what i Love more then the real world. The best things in wow for me are the beautiful places, the cool weapons and armor, the mood of a sunset fishing, fighting with the ugly and evil monsters (like my boss at the workplace). Recently i was sad because of the inactive players who bored to play now. I looking forward to the big player returns in Legion.I know a lot of people like the Burning Crusade feeling. Now the legion will better. I'm so excited and really looking forward to fighting as a Demon Hunter (and spam double jump), to acquire the artifacts for all of my character, to discover the new places and every new experience in the incoming patch. Thank you if you read,Best regards, Zoltan. See you in EU-Ragnaros realm (Fluxurion, Spacelord, Spaceninja, Chijuice, Já, Stëämpunk, Kyloren)

While most of the announced Legion features grab my eye, it is the unannounced one that got me the most excited. Namely the overhauled melee animations, Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight's and others look fantastic. I feel it really helps spice up the combat a bit and makes me consider a melee as a main for the first time in forever.

Hears to Legion!

wow really offered me moments that i will never forget .i met new ppl and made some friends .In game i would say the most exciting moment of my 6 year wow gameplay time was when i defeated that foul Warchief ,son of grom, Garrosh on Hc 25man back in Pandaria.

In legion I hope to continue Mythic raiding with my Guild and explore the Broken Isles while pushing the Legion back to the Nether . For Azeroth!!

I'm really looking forward to the PVP system as it gives you a fun reason to PvP. I also like the change of making classes feel unique again like they have an ability which no other class has.The artefact weapon is also really cool (especially Demonology Warlocks) because it adds more progression to your character and lets you specialise in the skills you want to make you're character more of how you want to play.

1.

I'm most looking forward to experiencing the new lore for the first time, be that questing, learning about our artifacts, or exploring the world.

2.

I started playing WoW during Cata, and to this day my favorite memory of the game was leveling my first character with my best friend. I was playing a Druid at the time and remember flying around in bird form finding my quest target and instantly turning into cat form mid air and shouting, "Firing Cat Missle!". Good times.

I am quite interested in the storyline as it seems to be more fleshed out this expansion. I started playing World of Warcraft during the beta of vanilla in 2004 and I eventually bought the game! I took a break mid Cataclysm and I returned September last year (2015).

I will be spearheading a guild for Legion and hopefully we will do some raiding progress. I still fondly remember the days of vanilla raiding when we first downed Ragnaros, then Nefarian in BWL. Progressed a bit in the old Naxx as well but we got stuck at the four horsemen.

I really want to jump into that beta to see all the changes with Hunter and figure out what spec I can give the best feedback on considering it is my main class. One of my best WoW memories is finally getting Mimiron's Head and Invincible within 2 weeks of each other after nearly 3 years of farming them both, that was awesome.

Looking forward to Legion and many of the updates/changes that will be coming along with it.  The 2 things that I am looking forward to the most is the artifact weapons and the new transmog system...we will finally have more bag and void space with the new transmog tab! \o/

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
