I can't wait for Legion! My guild and I really hit our stride raiding in Mists, but I've been playing since Vanilla. Most of my guildmates have taken time off from the game since WoD came out so I'm hoping they'll all come back for Legion. I think the new artifact weapons are a nice change and I'm super excited for Demon Hunter!

really looking forward to the new Challenge Modes, already have a guild group set up to do them for the first few weeks.

My favorite memory from wow is downing Mythic Garrosh with my current guild while I was still a trial.

I'm excited for the class revamps and derping around the new world seeing all the things and like everyone else weapon hype.I enjoyed leveling experiences as well as seeing my first raid which was Icc:) from then on just went on to keep seeing new lore and how all the raids are. Then eventually fell in love with healing for raid and arenas

I am really looking forward to the new animations in Legion as well as the PVP talents and two new arenas :)  I am hoping that Legion will sort out some of the PVP issues that WoD had.  My fondest memories of WoW are of my old guild with friends during The Burning Crusade where we spent our days engaging in world pvp and arena when season 1 had just started.  The addition of arena back then was and still is my favourite single piece of content ever released in WoW history!

In legion as a mostly pve player, I am looking forward to see how the artifact weapons are going to keep up with the patches and if it will end with legion or move forward with the upcoming expansions plus how the new animations and class reworks are going to affect the gameplay and I am also excited for the order hall campaigns and uncovering the artifact lore. I would also love to see the new questing with how they will present the lore with the voice overs in most of the scenarios and combat plus how the new challenge mode dungeons work since I do love running dungeons.

I enjoyed the lore and raiding from the previous expansions and how the questing became better over the years plus I loved when I used to go to arenas with my friends as 2v2 or 3v3 after clearing most of the pve content.

The one thing i am looking forward to the most is the challengemode system! I've always like dungeons and can't wait to do something that feel as rewarding and challenging as raids with 4 of my buddies! But of course Legion as a whole is looking so good i can't wait to jump in and lay waist to demons and any other that dare oppose me!

Yo,

Personally, I'm looking forward to trying out the new DH class, as well as hoping for a fix regarding racial balance in PVP (hopefully the new PVP talent system will allow people to roll something other than a Human !)

Fingers crossed !

Hey there. First of all i would really like to thank each and everyone of you guys involved in the icy-veins project. This website has helped me alot over the past few years to better understand different aspects related to World of Warcraft. As for Legion beta, I'm really looking forward to try out the new artifact weapons and also to test the new dungeons and raids as I am a really big PvE fan.

I am looking forward to playing the new Outlaw Rogue in Legion.  The pirate theme seems really fun with pistols, cannonballs, and a grappling hook.  Not to mention the new malee animations which look fantastic.  Casters always get new spells and updated animations and its cool to see malee get some love

Grab your chance to win a Legion beta key!

Icy Veins is turning 5 today and we wanted to celebrate it in the best way possible! We're giving all of you the chance to win a key for the upcoming beta of World of Warcraft: Legion!

As 2011 approached, two young gentlemen were sat discussing ideas for a World of Warcraft website. Ideas were passed back and forth, drafts were drawn up and the first edition of the Icy Veins website was released on the 21st of March, 2011. With a total of 3 guides for specialisations, 2 of which were Mage guides, and 1 raid encounter guide, Icy Veins was beginning its long journey.

5 years later and here we are! With a brand new design just released and with more changes planned in the near future, Icy Veins has not only grown, but matured under the watchful eyes of its founders, Damien and Vlad. With their tireless work ethic and their dedication to the site, we've seen Icy Veins expand from a small World of Warcraft guide-hub into a Blizzard-wide gaming community.

I feel like the word community is worth focusing on, since that's the general theme of today's post. With a growing membership on the forums and an increasing viewer-base on our news posts, Icy Veins has grown into a family. Without the users that visit the site each day, Icy Veins could never have become what it is today. Readers allow our team to do what we love: creating content for all of you.

For everything that you have done for us, we thought today would be a perfect day to do something for you.

Legion Beta Key Giveaway

As many of you know, World of Warcraft is releasing its new expansion this year: Legion. The expansion is overhauling a huge number of aspects within the game, as well as introducing a number of new parts into the game.

Many of you won't have been able to experience all of the new content that is being released, so we wanted to help. With the aid of Blizzard, we're giving away 200 keys to the upcoming beta; 100 of the keys will be given out this week, 100 in another giveaway next week. It's a pretty simple giveaway, you'll just need to post an appropriate comment on this post before the 29th of March to enter!

So what is an appropriate comment? We love hearing back from our readers and we love discussions, so why not mix the two and put together a giveaway! We want to know all about your opinions on Legion, as well as WoW itself. Let us know in the comments what you're most looking forward to, as well as your fondest memories in Warcraft history! Whether it's a guild moment, a personal moment or a moment in the game's story itself, we want to hear it.

Rules

As with all of our giveaways, there are some rules:

  1. Every comment must be relevant to this article, giving examples of what you look forward to in Legion and what you enjoyed in the past.
  2. The first giveaway will end on the 29th of March at 23:59 GMT.
  3. Only one comment will be counted per person.
  4. Comments on the linked articles will also be included in the draw if they are relevant to the topics.
  5. Commenting on multiple topics will not increase your chances of winning.
  6. The winner will be drawn randomly from all the comments that are deemed "acceptable".
  7. It is at our discretion which comments will be deemed acceptable, based on the extent to which they stay relevant to this article.
  8. We will not release the dates on which the keys will be released, as Blizzard have requested us not to do so.
  9. We do not know when the Beta will start, so please do not analyse our article hoping to find that. It's not there.
  10. The comments section will be checked via a bot used in previous giveaways, so multiple comments will be found.
  11. We have tools to detect cheating, so please don't bother.
  12. We reserve the right to stop anyone competing if we believe they are cheating.

Legion Information

If you're struggling for inspiration or you haven't been able to explore some of the information being released from the Alpha, we've made sure to give you a few pointers below:

Players will be equipped with the mightiest weapons of Azeroth, the artifact weapons, each tied to our classes with a unique link in lore. If you're looking to find some additional information on the lore behind your weapons, as well as some of the alternatives, you can always check out the artifact series we featured!

If the artifacts aren't quite tantalising enough, there's always the swathe of new dungeons being introduced with the expansion, such as the Arcway.

Still not excited? You must be a PvPer then! Worry not, there's a sparkling new prestige system being introduced, as well as a number of changes to the way PvP will work from now on.

Still? You're a tough one to please. Maybe you prefer a more pacifist route through Azeroth? You'll be able to enjoy more costumes and outfits than ever before with the new transmogrification and wardrobe systems

You can also check out the interviews I had with Venruki, Treckie and Tegu in our "Will Legion Save WoW?" article. You'll get perspectives on changes from some of the best players in the world in both PvP and PvE!

Before you enter, make sure that your computer is up to scratch for the Legion client by checking the system requirements.

While I'm not entering, I'll never miss out on a chance to take part in the fun! Personally, my favourite part in Legion so far and what I am looking forward to most is the lore surrounding certain characters. I don't want to put spoilers into this post, but you can check out the fate of some of them in our spoilers posts (Part 2). As a favourite moment of WoW, it would have to be the moment I first saw C'thun. The constant taunting as you approach, his appearance, it was just amazing. That for me is the peak of nostalgic feeling towards this game.

That's it from me. Good luck to you all and I can't wait to read your replies!

Im looking forward to the new pvp system and how it will play out with new spells and the new ranking system. I also look foward to the new lore that's gona pop up with illidan and the legion and more. + im so gona love the new cat form and the new mounts ^^

To say that I'm hyped for Legion is an understatement. Blizzard has been hit with a massive drop in subs over WoD and i think that is a good lesson that i hope they learned from. I have only ever mained a warlock and affliction and demonology on the alpha look SOOOO GOOOOOD! My raiding really took off in WoD and killing Blackhand hc is by far my proudest in-game moment yet since our Archimonde hc kill just sort of happened, first try on a monday after weeks of trying.....anticlimactic really.

Ive been playing wow since the begining of the game, and I was only 7 years old. Ive seen the game grow as I have so Id be absolutely so happy to get a sneak peak at all the changes that will take place this time around for this expansion, the story and gameplay of wow has always been something thats amazed me and inspired me to choose the path of a game developer myself, so Im really hyped to see It myself, the story, the class changes (Survival Hunter :)!!) and the new pvp prestige system as I am a pretty big pvper myself.

I started this game at middle of Wotlk expansion. I am not "Vanillia" player but i guess Legion will be more like Wotlk. Same main Dalaran city and new hero class. I hope they did their job done this time and we will not get updates every week. I am looking forward to play with demon hunter as TANK. Cya all in green invasion *peace*

I'm really looking forward to customizing my artifact weapon, and the possibility to choose levelling zones freely looks very appealing!

I'd have to say that my favorite times in WoW was vanilla world PvP. Horribly imbalanced and at times frustrating, but boy was it exciting!

Very excited about artifact weapons. I'm a fan of the old talent trees so this brings us back to it in a way. Excited to play a demon hunter as well, they look very fun with their crazy mobility. Also transmog wardrobe is gonna be a great addition and my void storage and bank will be grateful. Better mythic dungeons/ challenge modes rewards etc is always great. Overall looking very good as far as class flavour goes as well. I'm a little worried about class/ spec balance though. Although its very early still i'm a bit worried that some classes will shine immensely in certain situations and others will be left in the dust. Overall very excited.

I only started playing WoW since the last 2 weeks of Cata. I instantly loved the game and have put tons of time into it. i was mainly into pvp but wen SoO came out i raided for the first time ever and went from being only dps specs in pvp to maining healers for raids. I have watched an insane amount of content about the alpha ive seen every spec now (except brewmaster) and honestly this xpac looks insane. I have already determined that i will be changing my main to probably demo lock.

As for why i want the beta? of course to play it but also i want to be able to test some of the specs for myself. Having watched about 30hrs (at least of legion alpha videos) i have seen things that i wish i could try for myself and having the beta would allow me to do so. Also i want to get really into raiding and the challenge modes this xpac and want the opportunity to test and give feedback on them so far.

And my past moment i liked the most about wow is actually raiding highmaul. as i never was able to raid in BC or WoTLK i feel like i missed out on probably the best raiding experiences so far but highmaul for me was amazing. either way if i get into the beta or not legion when it gets released this summer i feel will have some of the best dungeons and raids WoW has ever gotten.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
