Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Mostly excited for the warlocks demonology rework, I've played the spec since i first started playing the game back in cata. while the idea of transforming into a demon was fun i am more interested in raising a small army of them instead. plus their artifact is easily one of the more unique weapons in the game that i have seen. also the way the talent system now works, being able to quickly change my skills for the situation is going to be a great thing.

while demonology is the most excited thing i am for i also cannot wait to play the new dungeons. as many of them seem to have great mechanics for the boss fights in some places may make you change you play style every encounter

Beeing Draenor the first expansión i raided seriously (started on Pandaria, but didnt do any "hardocore content", barely did any content since i was new), im so exited for the rDruid changes (more like impruvements). Cant wait to try them out, i see a lot of potencial with different kinds of builds regarding the content and the type of healing required.

Have a good day, Moo to all :)

I cannot wait to get started working my way through all the new content, it really feels like blizzard have gone back to their roots with this expansion. CM's, world exploration, alternative leveling, and some major baddies for us to fight in the coming raids, what is not to like. It would be wonderful to get into beta, I would love to be one of the lucky people able to provide feedback, fingers crossed.

I think the thing I'm looking forward to the most in Legion would be all the juicy lore on the Burning Legion that we'll be getting. And potentially Azshara as well if the dungeon is to be of any indication. As for my fondest memory? I think it would probably be when my guild got our kill on 25H Lich King. He was at sub 11%, we had 3 dps and a healer left alive. Our hunter's pet was tanking as our healer spam healed to keep it alive. And we hit 10% after we 3 dps died and our healer hit him with a Flame Shock and ticked him over. The nerd screams were actually loud enough that my family could hear it in the other room trying to sleep. That moment will forever be my most favorite in all of WoW. :)

Definitely working up the hype for the separate PvP/E honor talents; making it a grind really bring back a piece of the game I've been missing for quite some time. Almost equally excited for the Class Halls as I suspect it'll be a pleasant experience hanging around with your class exclusively; really opens up for more material-focused chatter and tips.

In Legion I am looking forward to raiding once again with guild mates, and some of the favorite times I had in wow was clearing Icecrown and Uldar with them.

I am also interested in playing the updated death knights specs.

NO MORE DODGE BEAR

When I think Bear Tank I think Thick Skin, Fur, Claws, and Fangs. Not DODGE DODGE ONE SHOT TANK.

I've been playing demonology warlock since the beginning, even when it was nearly impossible to play and I always thought that demon hunter could be a warlock spec with metamorphosis ability so demonology would be all about black magic and summoning demons; it is finally happening in legion with demon hunter class's arrival and I'm pretty damn excited about that. I simply can't wait to see how both classes work out and I'm also excited about many other things like new transmog system, new pvp system, new spell animations, new legendary drops etc.etc.etc... In short, legion is probably going to be my favorite expansion after TBC & MoP, I think it will even overrun them and get to the number one of my list. Being allowed to sneak peak it all would blow my mind, that's why I'm posting this comment here for a chance of winning a beta key. I'm sure everyone else is also excited about everything but for me it is like a dream coming true...

Either you're kind enough to choose me as one of the winners or not, I hereby thank you on everyone's behalf for granting a chance of experiencing the changes earlier.

~Love

Edit: Oh about the memories... They're mostly RP moments, I don't think people would be interested in personal stuff about my characters so I'll skip it. Other than RP moments, there are some questlines that were a lot of fun for me. Eg. story of Fiona's caravan, the funny story of the orc-gnome-dwarf trio in cataclysm (they were in a drunkard conversation about deathwing and how they beaten him), funny quest about imps in the Felwood, creeping box questline, the whole blood elf storyline and sassy characters... As a roleplayer and a lorenerd, I found those quests very satisfying :)

I'm a little apprehensive about legendaries and some other things, but I need to scratch my lore itch.

Hmm, that's a good question. Best WoW Moment. I would have to say my first Raiding Experience, back in Cataclysm. I used to be a PvP Player, but with the beggining of Cataclysm, i decided to start playing as a Frost DK (my main since then). First boss i killed, Shannox 10NM. The rush i felt right after ... awesome.

About Legion. So far, from what i saw, it looks really good, i guess we can say that WoD was used like a 1year Alpha, since most of the systems (Garrison,Raiding,PvP, etc) are also being used in Legion and received some good improvements. I'm really looking for the new Challenge Mode.

Cheers mates, catch you all in Legion smile.png

Looking forward to PvP honor system, artifacts and professions. Also the new zones look pretty impressive, especially Highmountain.

If Blizzard can deliver more and/or better and/or more varied open world end level content than during WoD, WoW will probably still be very much alive, and the biggest MMO on the market. I'm just a tad worried about what will they have to do next, now that WE as player characters will be weilding some of the most powerfull and lorewise important weapons on the planet (and maybe even the universe)!

Hoping it will all sort itself out, and that Legion will be a great expansion, although I'm keeping expectations way lower than WoD.

I'm most excited for all the class changes in Legion. Seems like they've done a really good job of rethinking everything, and I'm excited to try out the new stuff on multiple classes.

As for a memory, I remember being really excited the first time I chatted with my guild on Discord, because I remember feeling like I had finally found a group of peeps I could really be friends and have fun with.

I can't wait to try all the artifact weapons and the demon hunter starting zone with its story. The black temple lore, having a chance to go there as a demon hunter to get the glaives (again, haha!) will be really interesting. One of my fondest moments in wow is related to some mount farming, namely getting the onyxian drake...bad-freakin'-ass mount to this day.

I'm looking forward to the Transmog closet for one. It sounds rather fun to collect things. I am actually also rather excited for the PvP changes, I might start actively PvPing in that case.

WoD really bummed me out in all ways, I just am hopeful that everything Legion provides will be miles over it.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
