Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

As someone who has every class at max level, I'm mostly looking forward to trying out some of the spec overhauls coming in legion. I'm having a lot of trouble choosing a main at the moment because there's no specific class that really grabs my interest more than the others. As for a memory from WoW,I'll have to go with the night I got my first mount in vanilla. It was on my shaman, I had just hit 40 in SM Cathedral after grinding all day. I remember going straight to Orgrimmar, picking up the gray wolf and riding around for way too long

Looking forward to new mog system, artifacts and all specs free to use as you want. And ofc from raiding, that buff for your team vs a certain boss only once per week.

I'm looking forward to hunter change and the artifact system. Nowadays the professions are very easy but i can't wait the legion changes in the professions, i always loved the gathering professions, and now the garrison will burn to ashes and everyone need to farm :D

I'm really excited for Legion.  All the specialization revamps look so unique and diverse, and I can't wait to try them out in the new raids.  And those talent systems? More choices than ever!  I honestly can't pick which one I like the best because they all look so fun.

My fondest memories in WoW were probably in this current tier, with Mythic Mannoroth and Mythic Archimonde being some of the most interesting and mechanically complex fights I've seen in WoW.  They had absolutely everything.  If they are telltale signs of how raiding will be in the future, I'd say it's a pretty bright one.

HFC is/was amazing content. It is/was fun, enjoyable, liked the bosses and mechanics. But! Between these upcoming class updates (and the frost dk looks so good) and the new dgs and raids, I just can't wait for the new content.

.... Maybe in enough time that my guild can finish the final 5 mythic bosses of hfc though.

I played WoW in patch 3.35, the summit population of WoW. I witness the population drop dramatically after several version but never give up. My friends who take me to Azeroth left me separately. However, I deeply fall in love with this game and I think whatever the game develops, I will still support WoW on my way. I will focus on raid in LEG, so i will be pleasure to test bosses in Beta. So please just let me test LEG Beta.

One of my WoW highlists was killing Illidan and I really, really look forward to, you guessed it, re-kill that son of a gnoll again.

I, as PvPer and affictionate of transmogrification, am enormously excited to try out the new PvP system including the talents and prestige ranks and, obviously, the new transmog system, after all, my bank is always full of items to transmog. Though I fear becoming too excited, I would not like to see a WoD 2.0 happening.

I'm looking forward to the new zones like Stormheim, the new raids, the keystone dungeons, new lore (About time Maiev appeared again, she's one of my favourites) and most of all the Disc Priest rework.I do hope that they'll make things last longer when it comes to content, I don't mind if it's a bit of a grind that takes a while with the effect of feeling satisfying and rewarding. I also hope they'll push people into the world instead of what we had in WoD. MMO like WoW really need to maintain a better sense of community like it once had, even though it can't be compared to how it was several years ago.Other than that I'm pretty excited for Legion, for all the mentioned above and more. And also just getting out of HFC forever, bit tired of that place.

I'm really excited for profession quests, and the changes to cooking and fishing. I hope it makes the world feel even more immersive. As hated as it seems to be, I really enjoyed the leveling content in WoD. I'm a big fan of single player RPG's and it was very reminiscent of that.

Im really looking forward to the new shadowpriest, as a shadow from day one in classic, going through all expansions and all up and downs. Its good to see shadowpriest is getting a new feel and connection to the Old Gods. Im going to surrender to the madness

Man I am just so excited for the new Challenge mode dungeon system.  It sounds like it will be everything I have been hoping for in WoW, small challenging group content that can fully replace raiding!  I look forward to pushing those rifts to the upper limit with me and my friends!

My fondest memory of WoW has to be back in BC when we were raiding BT.  From the super bowl of not standing in bad shit (council) to downing illidan the first time, what an epic feeling that was.  That fight has got to be one of the greatest in all of the world of warcraft.  I look forward to giving legion the try it deserves!

cheers~

I'd love to take part in the beta!,

Im really looking forward to trying out the demon hunter class, as its been mop when a new one has been released. I have a 100 of each class and I cant tell you how happy I was knowing that they'd bring out another new one.

The new UI changes like the bar hovering over looks awesome for a melee class to, I definitely would like to see how that's customizable.

Finally, The expansion taps into amazing lore areas which I definitely want to try out, even though its beta.. The wait is killing me!, who doesnt want to visit the emerald nightmare, or fight of azshara :D?

I couldn't be anymore excited for Legion to come out! I'm really looking forward to the classes and their artifact weapons. I'm very happy that some of their specs have some choices and options with their gameplay especially through their talents. I hope that this expansion will be much better than MoP and WoD at least with Blizzard's expanded team. Here's my shot at getting a beta key!

There are several things I'm looking forward to in Legion, but I think what I am most excited for (that I've seen so far, anyway) are the new dungeons. Almost all of them look fantastic, and most of the bosses look like really fun encounters. I'm looking forward to hearing more about how the new challenge mode system is going to work.

I'm a fairly new player (started in MoP, but didn't play regularly until WoD mid BRF) so I don't have much to go on as far as fond memories are concerned. Something I will never forget though, is my guild's first Blackhand kill in BRF. What an amazing boss encounter that was, it will probably be my favorite for a long time to come.

But anyway, until Legion releases, I'll have my fingers crossed that it turns out half as good as I'm hyped for it to be. Good luck in the giveaway, everyone!

I enjoy the look of the new PvP honor system, Demonology is really getting some love this expansion isn't it? I could definitely see myself enjoying it in Legion, does anyone else feel the same? If I get a beta key, I'll definitely be spending alot of time trying them out. I love the way they seem to be leaving the Metamorphosis mechanic to Demon Hunters and focusing more so on the summoning and buffing of demons.

I am excited about Legion, not as much as I was for WOD though, guess i'm sorta more cautiously optimistic now. I'm hoping to try out the demonology warlock, i've always wanted a summoner class in Wow and what i've seen of the alpha is looking very cool. biggrin.png

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
