Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm just going to reroll from rogue to shaman, warrior or druid. I was looking forwards to warlock too, till they released the new soulshard system. It's a step back and even worse than it was ever before.  And as for rogue ... I dont want to play a pirate and if Legion raids turn out as Draenor raids, you have to play it on some bosses! So yeah ... I want to test out which specs are the most fun to play as in Legion.

World of warcraft is by far my favorite game to date the community, the gameplay, and the staff has just been so amazing. What I am most excited for coming out in legion is the new pvp system they are implementing into the game it looks super cool and I cannot be more hyped for it! My favorite memory from WoW would probably have to be when I first started playing it because it inspired me to want to go into game design and also I was just so happy I found the game! :D

What am I looking forward to in Legion? That is an extremely hard question. If it's done correctly everything they are doing to the game looks good. I'm really looking forward to the artifact weapons as well as the new challenge modes!

As for one thing I love about the game currently is the community I play with, being a guild leader can have it's ups and downs, but overall if it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't be playing the game still.

Super excited for Legion, (yay content!)

Currently looking forward for the new animations and changes to the classes, although not all are great but that is what testing is for. I really hope this expansion brings back the spark I once felt for the game. Best memories of the game are the noobie days, everything was so new and exciting when you dont know much about the game your playing, anyone with a mount was treated like a god, or better yet, you are the bomb trolling was always a great laugh.

However What i miss the most is the 40 man raids, each class within the guild banding together and discussing their class and loot and how other classes sucked compared to theirs was great. almost like having a guild within a guild.

The thing I'm looking forward the most is the dungeon key system, i love 5mans even more than raids, its great to see that they will be relevant through out the expansion not just the start.

After Warlords, I was skeptical about anything Blizzard talked about the next expansion. But after seeing what Legion seems like it's bringing to the table, I'm excited for pretty much all of it. While I'm still cynical about whether they'll include everything that they've promised, the fact that they seem like they're hesitant to talk about things that aren't completely done gives me hope that everything they've announced so far will actually make it into the expansion. I'm most excited for the artifact weapons. I have been looking to change my main, and while I initially wanted to go Demon Hunter (who didn't), the fact that there are so many interesting artifacts for many of the classes has given me pause. While I'm still tempted by the DH, and it would be the first time I would play a new class in the expansion it is introduced, I'm equally excited about the Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Death Knight, and Hunter artifacts. It's going to take a lot of soul-searching to find out what I will actually have as my main. Another thing I'm equally excited for is group content. From the Challenge Mode dungeons to the new raids, they're looking top-notch as always. Raid content was the shining star of Warlords amidst the ruin, and it looks like it is continuing in Legion. I'm especially looking forward to going into Suramar Palace, or The Nighthold as Blizzard is calling it now, since it reminds me a bit of Ulduar. Delving into Ulduar's depths is definitely the highlight of my time in this game. The feeling of going into a vast open space at the start at the head of an army of vehicles, to fighting a giant robot who throws temper tantrums, to beating some sense intoTitanic Keepers, to then go ahead and fight against an Old God was just pure bliss. The hard mode options were an awesome addition and Yogg-0 remains one of my most cherished memories. Even to this day, I use the Death's Demise title just because it reminds me of that time. I have a feeling that Suramar Palace has the potential to follow-up as a worthy spiritual successor to Ulduar and I cannot wait to experience it

I'm actually looking forward to testing the Demon Hunter in Legion and seeing what I personally make of it, especially after watching FinalBossTV's first pass and see all the different approaches/builds I think it could potentially be quite interesting and it's something different!

Also looking forward to the raids and levelling actually, I always enjoy levelling in completely new fresh zones at the start of an expansion

What i am most looking forward to in legion is the attempt to add more flavor to not only each class but the specs themselves, the reworks of some of the specs should revitalize the fun and make a class different to how it worked in  previous expansion to ensure it doesn't become stale, most looking forward to the new demo lock! Legion has huge potential to recapture elements of the game that Warlords had failed to achieve with its story-line,

My best memory in WoW was joining my first guild back in TBC, only to find out that one of my friends from school who i had not seen in years was also in it without realising until our first raid! He is still a noob today though!

World of Warcraft has most certainly changed throughout the years, but Legion seems to be bringing back some of the older content.  I think WoW kind of fell off a bit after WotLK, simply because they started removing class/spec diversity and reducing the amount of content added in with each expansion.  It looks like they plan on making each spec have a different play style, rather than being relatively similar, with different spell names.  There are also some new dungeon mechanics, which look promising as well.  One of my favorite memories, and this was from way back when, is when I would travel all the way to Deadmines during the free-trial.  Regardless of race, I made it a goal to travel from the starting area to there.  This was when the Summoning Stones were used on a regular bases and you had to gather a group over general chat, so it was a bit more challenging at the time.

Personally I can't wait for the lore. I've been playing since 2005 and I've always loved the story, Ashbringer being one of my favorites. Being able to wield the Ashbringer and other legendary weapons and explore the Shattered Isles will likely make Legion my favorite expansion to date. I can't wait to find out how Illidan will be implemented in the story!

I can't wait for re-vamped demonology. Finally being a master summoner, just in time to use demons against the legion. And with a flying demon skull to boot

I think this could be the best expansion yet, illidan and Demonhunter class to look forward to. One of the best things I'm looking forward to is Dalaran as the new main hub for both Horde & Alliance. I think this has been lacking the last few expansions and the game began to get a bit isolated. Also the flying mount can be used to explore new zones!

Did I mention artifacts? :)

I can't wait for the new PVP system!  The overhaul of some of the talents are very exciting and I can't even decide on which class to play! (Probably just have to make time to play them all).

My favorite moments in WoW took place in Northrend.  I LOVED WoTLK and i'm hoping this expansion captures that magic!

I am looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter, I know, big shocker. I also can't wait to check out the class order halls and the artifact weapons. I love that they are introducing the new leveling experience where you can level with friends, zone to zone, and the world scales to your level. It will be awesome to level without limitations so we can still level with friends without having to be stuck waiting or scheduling a time to do so. God knows, I don't level alone.

I absolutely cannot wait to get a hold of the new demo lock. I had loads of fun on it back in wrath but hated the later changes. I also want to try out the demon hunter.

I can't wait for the new class changes.  Each class is going to feel unique in their own specs adding more replay-ability and reason to switch!

My favorite moments were in BC and going through Nagrand...still my favorite zone in the game.  That's where I remember dinging to the highest possible level (70) for the first time!

I'm most looking forward to trying out the updated classes. Like WW monk and shadow priest. With the opportunity to level up my characters again in new zones. Bringing back the memorys of starting wow for the first time not knowing what to do!

One of the things I am most excited about are the interactions with famous characters, such as being able to have Chen Stormstout as a Bodyguard! Can't wait to see what other lore characters will be added as followers and what not!

I'm looking forward to all the new Elven Architecture, I have always loved their style of buildings and the Art team at Blizzard always seems to do a good job on delivering quality art. Demon Hunters look interesting, I can't want to try the tank spec. The new Transmog, I'm excited to finally have bag space, bank space, and Void Storage space again.

I'm really looking forward to the changes coming to disc priests in legion. Sure, the artifacts are cool, but I think having to actually put for some effort in keeping your raid group alive will be a lot of fun, no more just spamming shields

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
