Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Especially because I play an enhancement shaman, with all of the changes they are making to them. I can't wait to see how the new play style feels. I've seen some footage streamed but it won't be the same until I get to play it for myself. And getting the Doomhammer as our artifact weapon just makes it that much better. I have a replica of doomhammer at home. I've had a lot of awesome times in World of Warcraft. I've made a lot of amazing friends ingame. I still talk to them this day. Even if they quit WoW I still kept in touch with them via social media. Can't wait to see what Legion brings to the full table.

I can't wait for pre-raid gear acquisition and eventually full out raiding. Some of my most enjoyable parts of WoD were doing CM's and heroics with the guild every day to get as geared as possible before Highmaul dropped.

The new PvP honor system is also interesting. I've never been much of a PvPer, but I will at the very least be giving it a try.

I have just come back from a 6 year hiatus from Wow. After doing some research on some of the changes that happened while I was gone and what is coming up, I am interested to see how the Holy Paladin changes will work. Apparently they will be more in the fray then they were in the past.

Super stoked about the upcoming Legion expansion. I have been following the forums as much as possible, and I must say I am excited by all the spec updates. Even some of the specs I currently don't find interesting are drawing me in for Legion. I can't wait.

I'm pretty thrilled about the class story lines. In vanilla class quests such as the paladin and warlock mount chains, the hunter leaf from MC and the quest line for priests to get anathema and benediction were amazing for expanding on a specific class lore. Having class quests that break up the monotony of leveling the same zones for your 3rd character has me stoked to level all of my alts this expansion just to see all of the things going on behind the scenes of the over arcing story

with legion bringing in so much revamps and changes into the game

its hard to decide on just one thing to look forward too,

but my number 1 favorite so far must be challenge mode dungeons.

loving the idea and thoughts of what it could become.

it will unlock encreasingly difficult content for all players and that

is what i simply love about it it will allow players from all backgrounds

and playstyles to group and enjoy a changing dungeon experience.

i feel that if this gets well implemented and gets updated on the regular

it could give players more to do again.

some of my best wow memories are of making groups with friends and playing

tbc and wotlk raid content (ulduar and icc being my all time favorites),

something that i've missed these last expansions is the need to go back to the previous raids to gear up,

i loved to way of progression from before where one would start at the bottom and work their way up.

before this post becomes to long i'd like to say gratz on the 5 years and thanks for updated guides and info

icy-veins is my first place to go when i try to find out what specs and stat prios i need on my alts.

hope you all stay around for a long time smile.png

Firstly, thank you for your guides, they have helped me alot, especially the class guides, very informative & helpful, can't wait for your legion ones. The main reason on why I am looking forward to Legion? The new account wide transmog system. As a horde and alliance player, this new system is a godsend

I'm looking forward to the class changes coming in Legion. Most of the classes lost their luster for me in Warlords of Draenor. I'm hoping to find a class I can really enjoy again come Legion.

Honestly I'm excited and also a little worried about the class changes coming to Guardian Druids in particular. My main class is a Resto Druid with Guardian off spec. My favorite part of being a guardian druid is the ease of rotation, the mass spamming of thrash and using many healing and damage mitigating actions.

However in Legion the guardian druids are getting some cool-down increases so we can no longer spam thrash and there making things like Iron-bark more meaningful to use in tight situations. I don't necessarily disagree with these changes and I think it could have potential to be fun but if not done correctly I think it could really destroy the spec. I'll just have to wait to play test it to know how I feel about it for-sure.

I also honestly love the fact that Boomkins no longer have that horrible balance bar to look at all day long, that is actually why I stopped playing a boomkin is because of the solar/lunar cycles. So I'm super excited about the changes to that spec as well. Not to mention being able to swap specs on the fly is going to be very helpful although this is going to require a lot more gear grinds in the future but it'll be worth while haha.

Anyway the #1 thing I loved when it comes to all of WoW is the Lich King Expansion. Everything about Wrath was amazing to me, well maybe not every little thing but the fact that it had such an immersive story-line to it is what kept me playing for so long, the fact that the Lich King would come and taunt us throughout the expansion leading up to ICC and his iconic voice acting (best in game to date) was something I always loved about Wrath.

To be more specific though I'd have to say my funnest moment in Warcraft of all time was in Wrath as a Frost Death Knight Tank. I swear to god I'm not making this up, I was an awesome DK frost tank that held my own. It was funny because at the time everyone and there dog was complaining that DK's just flat out could not tank so it was a pain to get into a raid group.

This one night a group let me into there ICC run and said they only let me in because they were waiting for over an hour to get a tank and they all said DK's cant tank worth a damn. That night we cleared right through to the Lich King before we called it and the raid lead says over vent "You know up until now I was like everyone else complaining about how DK frost tanks were the worst class in the game and then this guy comes in here tonight and not only straight up proves me wrong but re-invigorates my faith that DK's can be kick ass tanks as long as you know how to play the class, its too bad your the only person in Warcraft that's figured out how to actually play as a DK Frost Tank".

haha Those were the good old days, I'm really hoping to have some awesome fun moments like that again in Legion. Time will tell, time will tell.

I honestly can't say which thing I'm most hyped about for Legion. New transmog-system? Hell yeah, this is a thing I was waiting for since Diablo III introduced it. Beast mastery hunters that actually feel like beast masters and not just like some sort of  "glowing beast-tamers"? Sign me up.I'm really pumped for the new Expansion and if it turns out to be at least half as good as it looks on the paper, I'd be fully satisfied

Having played Wow for quite some time, I've seen the game change a lot over the years. I don't think I've ever been so excited for an expansion yet. I'm quite a rounded player so I am amazed by the look of the new dungeons (hype for raids) and a lot fo effort seems to have been put into the new PvP system, along with the new arena. I usually play Priest, Warlock and Hunter - they all have a lot of exciting new changes coming and absolutely cannot wait to get stuck in and rediscover the classes and how they work, especially with the awesome artifact weapons. I've enjoyed WoW for so many years and look forward to many more years of fun

Breville, Ikeelyu, Raythe - Nagrand Alliance - Being more of a social questor and only a LFR raider due to time constraints I am eagerly awaiting Legion.

I have been playing since Outland came out. lots of achievements lots of grinding for currency. I love that this game is so accommodating to different play styles. From slicing and Dicing with 40 others invading the Horde Capital!, to sitting on a rock under a tree catching fish by a waterfall.

I can't wait to get a beta key. I missed out last year and unfortunately a long distance mate got one and didnt want it !!.

I have an outstanding quest to Thwart Gul'dan bring it on !

More than anything I am just excited to have something new to do after almost a year.  Also, really want to see where they take Illidan's story since he has always been my favorite lore character.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
