Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

There's many things I'm looking forward to in Legion. The new transmog system, and the new dungeons and raids are looking really good. The new challenge mode system seems like a really cool concept. Not only those, but I'm really looking forward to the lore that will be revealed in legion.

Probably my most favored memory from the past is the time I cleared ICC 10N for the first time years ago back in Wrath. Made friends with many people in that raid team. Though the guild fell apart right before Pandaria's launch, I do still talk to people from that guild regularly.

Heya there  There are a lot of things i'm looking forward to actually. I'm really hyped about Legion in general hehe   I'm really curious about how it'll work with second spec artifact weapons as well as with alts for example. The new druid forms are badass even though it's not my main class, i'm looking forward to them :3 The new Prestige system is something that makes me think i'm going to take a look at PvP now (PvE only here ^^ ) that being said i'm really, REALLY looking forward to anything PvE specific, from the new Dungeons to the Raids as well as the Questlines. I also think that especially the new Challenge Mode is interesting.  And - of course - i'm a big fan of the Wardrobe. (Not a big fan of Shoes irl but i guess transmogs are my "girly thing" xD) it also makes me happy that then i'll be able to Transmog my MoP CM sets on all my Mages, Priests, Monks and Hunter  Looking forward to hunt down the new Achievements, Mounts and Pets as well. :3There's just so many things to look forward to, haha i'd be super happy to win a Beta Key, untill now i was only able to watch my Friends in my Guild play the Alpha through their Streams, i really want to try it myself Greetings <3    Also all hail the Banshee Queen

I'm looking forward to progressing in the new area's and I'm very interested in the new lore.Behind legion, can't wait to try out the new weapons. And the whole wardrobe functionality is something, I've wanted in WOW.For quite some time, not to mention gnome hunters sound like some serious fun.I'd like to see how demon hunters, stack up against mages.

Congrats for your well deserved anniversairy !

What I'm looking forward to the most is the continuation of WoW's true Lore and Storytelling including some of our beloved and famous Characters from WC3 like Illidan, the Artifacts and all the Lore surrounding them. I hope that this Add-on will again leave me in wonder of this World called Azeroth like it did years ago.

There's a few things I'm looking forward to most in Legion, overall I'd say hopes are extremely high! *fingers crossed*

The redesign of Spriests probably has me the most excited. I've mained as Shadow since I started playing, so it's definitely time for a fresh take on things.

I'm also super pumped about the direction of PVP. I like how there's a tier system now that you can progress through, which gives players an intensive to PVP beyond just capping out conquest each week. My only fear is that you'll be able to grind through all the tiers so easily, that over time it losing it's charm.

Being a hardcore 10man raider since late WotLK, liking smaller groups and all that comes with it, I haven't had much fun in WoD raidwise and since Blizzard don't seem to keen on the idea of 10man mythic, I'm hoping that the new Diablo-esque challenge modes are gonna be good and I'm looking forward to spending alot of time in them. I'm also looking forward to, hopefully, some more class-identity reintroduced, through classhalls and the artifact weapons. I miss the old class quests, warlock mount quest in Dire Maul, the warrior quest on Fray Island and so on, all class' had something that made them special and added something to their identity. Things like the green fire quest for warlocks i MoP was a stroke of genious in my opinion. Would love to see something like that again. I hope to see some more big meta-achievements/feats of strength. I've always liked doing the crazy big and time consuming things, like the Insane-title or grinding Zin'rokh from archaeology. Sure there was Lord of War in WoD, but that ment doing like 6months of Ashran, and sure Ashran can be fun and all, but not that fun. Mostly I'm looking forward to the 'new' specs, the specs that are getting overhauled completely, like demonology warlock, outlaw (combat) rogue, survival hunter and of course trying demon hunter. Being a long time tank, I welcome a new tankclass to the game

I look forward to the new transmog system, so that I can finally clear out my bursting bank and void storage! (Not to mention gain access to some pieces that I have gotten on characters I no longer play on ones I do, that part is definitely a perk!)

One of my favourite memories in WoW was my little 10 man guild at the start of TBC. We only did Karazhan since it was the only 10 man instance (and later split up and joined other guilds for the bigger content), but we had great fun while doing it. My fondest memory is probably our Halloween raid when we all raided as leper gnomes :D

I 've been playing World of Warcraft for twelve years now... This game is pretty much my rock solid entertainment all these years.

Things that I am excited about:

1. PVP talents. As a High Warlord Vanilla player I really look forward to this.

2. My warrior and the fury tankiness! I want to play with him, again, hardcore!

3. My elemental shaman and the new fist of ra'den!

4. PvE rich 5-man instance gameplay... 5-mans are my main focus of the game atm, besides PvP.

5. The new transmog system... Finally I will be able to use my bank as bank again!

I think the new challenge modes look great, but they will not be such success. All in all, I'm looking forward to new progress and new leveling experience

Legion is the make it or break it expansion for me. I wasn't that interested in WoD when i finished BRF. But i can't wait for Legion. It's one of the themes besides of the old gods i've been waiting on for years. If i get to just see a glimpse of Sargeras or the real titans, this expansion will be worth it to me. I also can't wait to try out the demolock. I feel like the version they're introducing in legion is the right one. I've also missed shadowbolt a lot and getting to cast it again as my filler is awesome!

One of my greatest memories were when i got into the old god lore in vanilla. I found the big corpse with the sword stuck into it in darkshore. I read up on everything about old gods and got myself into lovecraft as well. I started looking for clues myself for hours in the world, when the info about old gods was very sparse.

I am looking forward to Artifact weapons and all of the interesting perks they bring to each spec. One other thing I am excited for is the changes to pvp and the requirement to get a whole set of pvp gear being gone. My favorite and most vivd memory comes from firelands when as a friends and family guild we got heroic rag down on the last pull of our last night of raiding before they put in the nerfs to the raid. Getting that fight down after pulling it for weeks and the excitement, joy and elation that followed from everyone in vent and the raid was just amazing

I am looking forward to the Demon Hunter class as well as all the new attack animations! The new raids look awesome as well as the artifact weapons. I think the Skill tree associated with the artifacts is a really cool concept and I can't wait to try it out.

As far as my memory, I first started during Wrath of the Lich King, and my favorite moment was probably the first time I killed Yogg Sauron for the first time after lots of hours of raiding through Ulduar, which is by far still my favorite raid! Hope I get to check out the beta and good luck to everyone else!

With the upcoming overhaul of Shadow Priests, I can't say that I am less than hyped for this new expansion. The whole Old God theme has always fascinated me and now I'll be able to experience it without changing my main. Hopefully Legion will finally see Shadow Priests shine a bit, as we've been under the carpet for most of this game's history

Well, I'm a Draenor babby, and when I got into the game due to a few friends I really didn't know what to expect... never did I expect to meet such amazing people in this gaming community. Glad I signed up and glad I keep resubbing! Wouldn't give it up in a lifetime.

I think the most memorable moment was my first day in my new guild. I was a newly converted Horde player and I wasn't really sure how well I'd fit in with the opposite faction, but lo and behold it was much more than I could have ever asked for. I love my new Warcraft family!

And Demon Hunters. Oh my. Ever since I read up on Illidan I've been itching for some DH action. Can't wait!

I'm approaching Legion pretty carefully I'd say. Why? I'm hoping that Blizz learns from their own mistakes in Draenor in particular the quantity of end game content. They invested most of their budget into quality content which was really impressive, especially questing, first few dungs and timewalking. But as things in wow tend to progress, the repetition factor emerges and quantity takes over quality. The first few tries on each dung or raid were indeed thrilling and entertaining, yet as soon as I tried to complete my PvE gear I found it pretty boring. In every expansion excluding Draenor there were at least 5 raids and about 8 dungeons. Having only 3 raids to progress was in my opinion a big turn off. I sincerely hope Blizzy takes a hint and blows me away with their masterpiece once again as they used to. wub.png

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
