Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I look the most forward to the wardrobe if I may be honest. Can't wait to have all the gear I gathered on various chars to be available for all my characters. The bad part is that I'm actually hoarding even more at this moment. I've leveled every class so far on my mainserver to maximum level just so they can have the artifact. This does ties in with the changes in playstyle. I've never been much into PvP, but what I know about the new system now, makes me want to step into that part of the game more. It's a promising expansion, let's hope they can live up to all the expectations.

I am looking forward to the shadow priest redesign.

I really enjoyed completing the Outlands questing in Burning Crusade, I hope that Legion can deliver a similar experience.

I'm looking forward to the heart system. In playing Diablo, I hoped to see this and was frustrated that something similar wasn't available. Now we'll benefit from that design and I'm hoping gear designers as well. Great is why I play and it's boring, the design over the last two expansions lacks imagination and zest, the Diablo gear is varied and interesting, so I hope we get that too. Thanks for you sight, you make me a better player, I couldn't matter my alts without you

Honestly, I'm looking forward to the changes in the PvP talents; it will be nice to have spells balanced around PvP instead of PvE. I really enjoy PvP as a whole in general.

Honestly I'm more excited for the new areas to explore, I like finding the small secret out of the way spots Bliz adds in every expac- as well as getting more into the story and figuring how things turn. Also, I'm SUPER excited for the Warlock changes, especially with the new demon models and Demonology revamp.

I have many high hopes for legion I'm really looking forward to playing the boomkin class as i was a hardcore boomie pre-cataclysm with the invention of the balance bar i really felt like i lost control of playing the class the way i wanted to. I admit I am a bit uncertain as to how i will feel about the artifact weapons, I have always enjoyed the feeling of getting a new weapon to play with "OOO Shiney!!!" and now without that to look forward to it will be a little disapointing. However the new transmog options, and the upgrades for it should ease that feeling a bit, a little better than the WOD  version of carrying my crafted gun from the first dungeon all the way through heroic archie with no new weapon that never gets any new abilities. I also have very high hopes that 5 man dungeons will be more important and something to keep us busy beyond challenge modes and just getting gear for the very first raid then never touched again.....

I am looking forward to the custom colorng/models of the Artifact Weapons. At first I was unsure because everybody would be running around with the same exact weapon. But now I am excited as it will be more spread out because everyone will have different models/color schemes. I'm also excited for the new transmog system. It will keep my banks/bags more empty and make the whole thing just a lot easier! In comparison, I do not like that current way of transmogrification in comparison.

I honestly love the looks of the Broken Isles, Mardum and omg, the legendary weapons. Also, let's not forget about the new class the Demon hunter which everyone has been waiting for since TBC. I remember doing the Black Temple and looking at how cool Illidan is and wished they would something like him a playable class. Legion has a lot of potential and it looks like a lovely expansion

I'd love to see what kinds of graphical improvements are causing the system requirements to go up. I'm also pumped for the revamp of all the melee combat animations. Combat rogues have gone too long repeating the auto attack animations over and over again, and its even better that they are gonna be sweet freakin pirates!

Not to mention revamped murlocs! woo!

I'm definitely looking forward to the direction they are taking Arcane Mages. Finally arcane will be a spec that can compete with Frost and Fire in general pvp, and won't be completely useless!

Ive been waiting so long in Dreanor for Legion. After the epic fall of Archimonde I cannot wait for the next expansions raids. What new mechanics they will use, the lore behind them I cannot wait for it. Hopefully there will be cookies as well.

I'm looking forward to a hopeful resurgence in world PvP. With the new daily quests forcing players into the world zones I'm hopeful this will encourage players to team up and fight in the zones on a more frequent basis, especially in Suramar. That place looks like it was designed for world PvP. Also looking forward to Demon Hunters. I've honestly been waiting for a playable demon hunter race since warcraft 3 originally showed off Illidan and his warglaives. I can't imagine being able to finally play as one and fly around with my demon wings. My favorite WoW memory is from vanilla as Horde on a very active PvP server. My guild was composed entirely of rogues and we would camp the Alliance boat from Menethil Harbor. All stealthed, we would wait until the boat had left the harbor and made for deep waters, then as one we would strike, destroying all of the boats travelers before zoning across to the other continent. It was important that we kill them before zoning, as once you crossed over the players would resurrect automatically as part of the game design, at which point, we get to kill them all over again. Good times were had there, great times in fact. Also, my birthday is on March 29th, so, it would be the GREATEST birthday present ever if a key was sent my way. Also I love your guys site, first post I've ever made, but I'm on here lurking constantly reading your WoW forums and using your very comprehensive item lists. Great stuff, keep up the good work.

I'm most looking forward to the lore aspect of legion. As a longtime Warcraft player and a longtime World of Warcraft holdout (I didn't start playing until MoP), one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game for me has been going back and experiencing the old raid content. I'm completely up-to-date on the new content in WoD, but I've found the story a bit lacking and am really looking forward to the new storyline(s) being introduced in Legion.

It's such a major shake-up of central characters that I'm dying to experience the story and be a part of the narrative.

I'm also looking forward to playtesting the new Brewmaster (my main) as it seems to be one of the specs that's having its core kit completely reworked. I'm definitely looking forward to some of the visual updates (like that new idle pose and combat animations for staff weapons!!).

I was a huge fan of MoP, and WoD for me, like many others, has been a bit of a disappointment in most aspects (raiding has been super fun, though!). I'm happy to say that Legion and the promise that it holds has really given me renewed vigor and I've been playing a lot more recently as a result of how hyped I am to experience it all. :)

I'm looking forward to the new Instances and Raids, what I've seen so far from the alpha via streams looks pretty promising. Even some mechanics from plain 5 man instances look amazing. Next up the artifact weapons, do I need to say more? no? good  And last but certainly not least, the mage changes. Have a nice day, see you in Legion

I'm very excited about Legion class overhaul and the new pvp system, can't wait to get my hands on Outlaw rogue, and try out some other classes also ofc. I've been spending most of my evenings watching videos from people who have gotten to try out alpha (Sensus, Nixxiom, Bajh etc.) as always after every expansion announcement. Yet, after 9 years of WoW, I have never gotten a beta key, just youtube videos to keep me thirsty, hopefully Legion proves to be the charm for me. As for the site itself, ever since I started out my sometimes casual/sometimes hc raiding, IV has been pretty much the greatest help for me with it's guides, so I want to thank you all for your hard work and keep the guides coming.

My favorite moment in the (distant) past? The fulfilling moment of defeating Onyxia (60) in a PUG. As the Dwarf Priest, Fear Warding was key to victory. What I'm looking forward to? The Transmog UI update. Challenge Mode updates. Flexible leveling experience. (AND THE MOVIE.I'm shocked how many entries skipped the first rule. x_x

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
