Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I can't wait to play as a demon hunter. As a guy who has been playing with Blizz since my early years, I have played Warcraft II & III and have loved the story line that world of warcraft is following. I need to try it out. Please? I'm a PvP junky so i can't wait for the new talent trees. It all looks amazing. Let's do it

I am very excited to see what they are going to be doing with the classes, especially holy priest. I stuck with holy from Cata till Warlords before being sucked back into being a DPS. I'm also not sure about the changes I've seen thus far with shadow, I guess tentacles kinda just creep me out. I've always been a lore lover, and as an expansion goes, I have faith that Legion is gonna be amazing. I'm a raider as well so, having seen some sneak peeks of the (quite frankly amazing looking) dungeons is exciting, because you gotta know that the raid tiers are gonna be phenomenal. And you know, Demon Hunters, who WOULDN'T love to be one?

One out of the many reasons i Can not wait for legion out of any of the Expansion Packs is  I read War of the Ancients and that was the biggest War in history  so When blizz says this is going to be bigger that makes me pumped . Out of  one the things i like Back in Burning Crusade Was volley was upset when they took it from hunters and sense Hunters are under going some changes i hope Blizz Adds it back in

Hello everyone. What i am looking for in Legion is the new PVP system. I wish it will be easier for casual player like me to play against player of his level. I play Shaman i really do like the artifact Weapon for elemental Shaman. I wish i could get access to the beta.

My relation with World of Warcraft is a bit strange sometimes.I've had periods of intense love with the game, like the one you get with the perfect soulmate, where I could not stop plying and even if I decided to take a break to read a book or go outside, I would keep thinking about the game and eventually log back in.And then there were those periods where I would be bored to log in to smash the same buttons again and again and I would eventually stop playing. I have long wondered what made my hear beat for Azeroth and I think it is the epicness (is that a word?) of the adventure that drives me.this feeling of being involved in my character role in the world and to take part in huge epic battles.  I was afraid that legion would be just another wow expansion that I would buy, play and then drift away from the game.but then I began to look at what was happening on the Alpha and my thirst for epic adventure was grabbing me again. I don't know how the raids and the dungeons are, as I don't wand to be spoiled by a simple video but there are a lot of details that make me think that Legion will be a great expansion.  Let's start with the obvious: Demon hunters. I don't know about you but I always had some kind of crush on Illidan (all platonic you perverts, I'm a straight guy). I remember W3 where I would play NE only to be able to pick him as a hero. I went nuts when I looted my first Glaive back in the day. So if blizzard gives me the opportunity to swing war glaives and be a mini Illidan I might bake a cake for them (it might be ugly but it's the intention that matters, right?).  Which leads me to the second thing I'm excited for: immersion in the game. This comes from those small details, like the new spell animations for example. Hey my warrior will actually charge and put his shoulder in the nose of the enemy instead of running and stopping 1m in front of him. I might be stupid but the attacks of melee classes actually hitting the target dummy with a neat spell effect is something great.Oh and don't get me started on class halls and artifacts. I will stop there because I already wrote too much and I'm sure you guys have better to do than to read the post of a vanilia veteran that is in the game just because he likes to look at his avatar but I just wanted to share my joy that blizzard are working subtle details that make a huge part of the game for me. My only fear for the expansion is that ability pruning might go too far.I think complexity is important to make a game feel full and immersive. You cannot be a hero if you only know two ways of swinging your axe.but hey, even then I would just keep sitting there looking at my character happily (and immersively) bashing the face of demons

Of course I'm excited for the class changes, the new zones, the new lore, the new dungeons and raids. I always shoot for loremaster before I go on for anything else. Yeah, I'm that nerd. But what I'm really looking forward to the most is just getting my friends together again to play. We all started playing in high school during Burning Crusade and now that we're older, with jobs and all that stuff that comes with being adults, we don't all get together so much anymore. An expansion release is pretty much the only time we all get together in one place at one time and just hit it as hard as we can.

First of all I'd like to thank the WoW gods for planting the seed for the WoW discussion that has lead to such an amazing website that on many occasions has saved my bacon (We all know how important bacon is). With legion I'm looking forward to experiencing some of the BC style Lore, as a WoTLK baby, I never saw any BC relevant content, so finally getting to join a crusade of champions to take on the burning legion will be awesome. Especially with the cool new weapons that give us our own personal journey that we develop through mounds of content both as a party or raid but also solo as well. I'll be plunging into all aspects of the game, including PvP, which isn't something that I've really taken to serious in the past, but the new prestige style system is something I think I will enjoy. With all the new content coming with the expansion (Class, PvP System, Proffessions, Farming Legendary's and obviously much MUCH more) I don't think there will ever be a dull moment. I'm even looking forward to the updated version of Violet Hold, all in all I'm looking forward to this expansion the same as I do every expansion, I'll personally be playing a ShadowPriest/MM-Hunter and can't wait to follow their personal journeys through Legion to see how we progress and defeat the ever looming shadow that is the Burning Legion

It has been hard on blizzard on the past expansions trying to create talents usefull/good for dungeons/raids while still trying not to make them so powerful that it would give the character an unfair advantage in battlegrounds and arenas. they finally came up with something good. Also im really looking forward to see how they made the emerald dream after teasing the players for so many years . Overall expansion is looking good, hopefuly all the time they took on developing the expansion while we were patiently waiting for months playing over and over the same content will make it one of the best if not the best expansion ever to release. finger crossed

AS far as what I'm looking forward to in Legion I'd have to say the artifact weapons and the transmog system at my top faves. I'm a bit of a transmog hunter, so this system will be a dream!

I've been playing since a few months after launch of vanilla with a few sizeable breaks throughout. Out of all those years I have had MANY memorable moments but I would have to say completing ICC and downing the Lich King with my guild has to top them. What a fight... what an experience... what an expansion!!

Throughout the years I have quit WoW many times. I have moved on to other games; MMOs and non, but this game keeps dragging me back in. I truly have had some amazing and memorable moments in Azeroth, and although almost all of my friends no longer play, I just can't stay away. WoW truly does own a piece of my heart.

I am most looking forward to Legion to test out all the amazing changes to each of the classes. Picking a main is going go be incredibly difficult in Legion with so many classes receiving complete overhauls. I'm also very keen to follow the lore progression throughout the expansion and see where the story goes next.

My fondest memories of WoW are a tie between playing WoW for the first time together with friends from school and playing together with my girlfriend. Starting WoW in WOTLK was amazing. Even after playing fairly large games like Oblivion, I was almost overwhelmed by how epic Azeroth is. My girlfriend showed interest in RPGs after playing Torchlight and Diablo 3 together and has developed from a casual LFR raider to a key member of our mythic guild. <3 Lexi.

There are so many things I'm looking forward to, but nothing else as much as the updates being made to Brewmaster monks. When MoP hit I immediately rolled a BM Monk and I knew I found my new, favorite class/spec. They will hopefully be available for testing on the alpha soon. There is something about a drunken pandaren weilding a staff and a keg of booze which I find enticing. I'm also looking forward to pet leveling and mount gathering. I'm so close to the 300 mount mark and there will likely be a 350 mount achievement soon

The lore neird in me couldn't contain mt feeling when I heard the name of the next expantion. I started playing WoW in Wrath but really spent all of it leveling, it wasn't until Cata that I actually got into the game's raiding end game. And still to this day raiding with friends is the game for me. But PvP rank system and separat talents will get me PvPing in this expation aswell.  Very exitet for that. What else will i be doing in Legion? Here is my check list: Raiding, for sure. Love it. and I have an unfinished bussiness with Gul'dan PvPing, its the perfect time to start.Collectiong all of the artifact weapons and their different looks on all of my alts. ANDPlaying as Demon Hunter. YES PLS Release of Legion can't get here fast enough .   Like ThisQuoteMultiQuote

Just saw the new spell animations for enhancement shaman and I am so excited for the updated play style.  I will have to sate my craving with Chronicle: Volume 1. Thanks for the opportunity to check Legion out Icy Veins.

Most looking forward to being a melee hunter, and have been putting together transmog sets based around melee weapons in preparation. The animations look awesome, and I'm just all around looking forward to the game feeling better. As for WoW memories, I have a really fond memory of a dungeon I did on my hunter while leveling. We were goofing off, and I was using Eyes of the Beast on my turtle to run around and tank things. Nothing really significant or memorable happened, I suppose, but for some reason playing as my turtle while we made jokes and lol'd has stuck with me.

I'm looking forward to a few things - being able to play as a Demon Hunter, the artifacts (FINALLY. My paladin will be able to wield Ashbringer. That rumor from vanilla took on positively aerith-resurrection levels of belief), and the updates to the garrison system will be a nice change. Warlords of Draenor felt a bit too much like a single player game, with individual garrisons being the primary hub of the expansion, as well as the slog that was building and upgrading them and the chore of doing missions. I'm also hopeful that there won't be another year-long tier of raid content, since PVP is so far away from being my focus in WoW that you wouldn't even be able to see it with a telescope. My fondest memories come from vanilla WoW. I started playing live at release, and was in the beta with my guild from Dark Age of Camelot. When WoW released, I dragged my best friend over from DAoC to play with me. She's no longer with us, but I'll never forget the times we spent playing together. Between bar runs to BRD trying for her barman shanker and scholo runs (152 of them.) trying to get a headmaster's charge to drop for my warlock, or even just sitting in Stranglethorn Vale farming gorillas because that's where thottbot said the broken blade of heroes dropped. This is probably going to sound sappy, but I guess the thing that keeps me coming back to WoW are the people I've met through playing it

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
