Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Main reason i want to get into it is because it's obviously wow and legion is looking set to become amazing. And im a huge PvP fan and i wish i could get in and try the new system with prestige and i heard there is no conquest which in my opinion sounds promising, and really everything i would want to try from pvp to walking around in the new zones and even checking out if the slightest change in the grass has changed

I most looking forward to the new professions systems. I enjoy making gold and am hoping that we will get back in depth professions like in the early wow days. I'm most looking forward to prospecting being brought back and hopefully moving away from the WOD daily cool down system. Thanks!

I am looking forward to what looks like a more immersive playing experience. After playing since Vanilla, the game has gotten to be more of a race to max level, grinding and then alting. I look forward to spending more time with my monk and warlock and maybe being rid of my alt addiction, at least for a little while

In Legion, I am most looking forward to the way holy priests are being tweaked. It seems to be just what they need to be competitive in a healing meta environment. I hope the class ends up being at the level it was in Cataclysm. All three specs were competitive and enjoyable.  The moment that sticks out in my mind as being my favorite moment in WoW isn't actually game play related. It has to do with all of the wonderful people I have met over the years. I still keep in contact with friends I met in BC, when I began playing. The amount you can have in common with people that live thousands of miles away from you is really quite amazing. Of course, if I had to pick a favorite game play moment, it would probably be killing Illidan or Kil'Jaeden. So many hours spent learning those bosses and perfecting the strats.

I am waiting for class halls and class quest (including the artifact ones). I was playing paladin in Vanilla and really enjoyed all the class quests there, especially one to get charger. I think Blizzard should promote more class uniqueness and it makes more interesting to play different classes without getting bored.Another feature which i am waiting is wardrobe tab. I am really obsessed with transmog and collecting lots of old sets, recolored items and already run out of space. This new feature is a very big quality of live improvement

I'm looking forward to see how Mistweaver and Holy Priest turn out and would like to try these specs prior to launch. I am in particular looking to see how well the fantasy they have set is going to play out

The thing I'm most looking forward to is exploring the new areas, but I'm very excited to see all of the changes to the classes. I always like to think of the changes to classes as our characters refining their abilities as a result of the latest adventure. Somethings work, while others do not. While I miss some of the old ways, dual wielding Blood DK dps, I like what I have seen of Legion so far. I keep up with information about class changes as often as I can, but until I can step foot into the new zones I avoid looking at anything about them or the dungeons.

The awe factor of exploring new zones, I didn't get it much in WoD, but I remember exploring Jade Forest in Pandaria for the first time. Questing through Jade Forest the first time was such an amazing experience, going through that zone on other characters was like taking a pleasant stroll down memory lane. With a new expansion on the horizon, I'm waiting eagerly for that first step into a new area.

I want to explore the broken isles, try the new Demon Hunter class and all those small but interesting changes for the classes I've played in the past: the new 'outlaw" spec for rogues, the changes made to hunters or to see what's changed for warlocks and how that will change my game. And also to check the new artifact weapons, those staves and daggers look awesome

Hello there! Hrm. That is a tough question, but I guess I could say that my best answer would be: "Change". I am excited to see what they are revamping, editing, and improving on as the expansion is tailored out.

I am really excited for the art as well, Blizzard does a great job at making their games easy to immerse into, and the new fighting models and forms are a good indicator that improvement is on its way. With updated druid models, transmog system, and detailed brand new lore, they will not fail to impress.

I would love to give some feedback on the changes, and my own point of view on the bits and pieces of the expansion, and just enjoy the new land, new lore characters, and a whole new-yet-familiar game of World of Warcraft. Hence why I am here. Thank you. ^.^

Can't wait to get in to beta hopefully to see if I want to switch mains after 7 years of being an elemental shaman. Its getting sort of stale but I want to see if the new expansion breathes any new life into the class for me before making any decisions.

Awesome birthday giveaway Icy Veins! :D

I'm definitely looking forward to Ashbringer, I REALLY hope it will be voiced like it was in the past and that we could have lots and lots of quests about its story and lore! I also have good hope it will actually turn undead into ashes considering fire mage artifact already has an animation turning enemies to ashes :D :D

My favorite Warcraft moment? I think it was when we first killed Lady Vashj with my TBC guild, it was just so exciting, killing such an important Warcraft hero (remember The Frozen Throne boys :D)! Let's hope Blizzard will give us just as much awesomeness as they did back in TBC!

To me, Legion seems to be Blizzard's attempt to breathe life into a game that has become stagnant.  Artifacts, animations, PvP, class changes (overhauls), demon hunters, and of course lore.  I'm pretty pumped for all of it.  Artifacts hopefully will make everyone feel as if they bring something useful to every encounter. But honestly when I first seen Arthas and Frostmourne in the cinematic for WotLK, it gave me goosebumps.  Still does, in fact. That entire expansion was a visual treat.  Playing Death Knights raised by the Lich King himself, was pretty awesome. Northrend too was a well thought out area.  Nordic culture with an eventual steampunk twist.  I know everyone to some degree remembers Ulduar - I loved that place.  Tears of joy and pain.  And lets not forget Icecrown.  That fateful encounter actually felt personal to me.  Such an epic fight.  Blizzard had officially won me over with it all.  To date, my favorite part of WoW so far.

Thank you guys for the generous giveaway. Im looking forward to the new animations and ui tweaks that are coming with Legion the most, its a much needed new coat of paint. A new expansion really does bring back some memories every time it happens, believe it not the launches and long queues are a little thing I look forward to - its time me and my friends get together and spend time gaming. It would be better without, but I make the best of it and its nice to spend time with my friends like that

Looks like I've seen this just in time. I'm super excited for the new storyline, artifact weapons, raids, dungeons and really just everything that's coming! Good luck to everyone else! Can't wait for Legion to come out.

Legion is probably the expansion I've been most hyped for out of all of them. I came in at the very start of wrath and really regretted not getting into the game during BC. I'm so excited to see what lore comes out of legion especially after being let down by WoD after MoP which was probably my favorite expansion. The transmog changes and class order halls also make me really excited to play.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
