Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to demon hunters of course. Ever since wc3 I've been waiting to play one, and I am dying to finally get the chance. Will be rerolling and making it my main on launch day. My fondest memory in wow was during the wotlk pre-launch event, me and a few buddies got the undead disease and took it to stormwind (we were horde), and ran all the way to the throne room, where all of the pvp battlemasters used to be - needless to say they were all infected and promptly died.

I'm really stoked for Legion, and there is so much I'm looking forward to. The artifact weapons look incredible, in terms of design and individual story/lore. I can't wait to play every single one of my characters and get their weapons, and become completely immersed in the stories and the journey to complete the artifact. the Maw of Souls, it's freaking Helheim, and the boat of the dead. Violet Hold looks darker, more sinister even if it's almost the same dungeon from Wotlk. Vault of the Wardens is an incredible way to take us back to lore from the time of the Demon Hunters and Maiev and Illidan. I won't go on and on about every dungeon, but I definitely foresee myself taking so many screenshots in those dungeons. Questing looks like loads of fun from what I've seen via streamers, really immersive lore and all the zones look spectacular. I'm really amped for professions, including fishing -- which I've always loved (was the first person in my guild to get that 100 fish WoD achievment), but it just looks so much more interesting. I am a HUGE fan of transmog so the ability to store all the looks that I collect is going to be amazing, especially with each armour class so I won't have to farm a set from ICC on my death knight if I already have it on my paladin. And we'll finally have more space in our bags and our banks because it won't be filled to the brim with transmog. Being a hoarder across every single one of my characters, I welcome the ability to get space back cause then I can fill it up with other things. I am a staunch PVE'er and have been for all of my time in WoW, but with the arrival of Legion, I'm actually planning to get involved in PvP. So far, PvP has been a horrible experience for me and now I won't go near it with a ten foot pole, but I will be getting involved when Legion arrives. Definitely on my mage, maybe on more of my characters. I'm willing to give it another chance with all of the changes that Blizz is bringing in. As for memories in WoW, there are so many wonderful ones. One of my best ones was obtaining the legendary caster staff in Cataclysm, after helping countless others to get it. Another one was leaving a guild with an absolutely horrible environment and ending up in the right guild, where I still am today. I met my best friend in WoW, he and I have been friends for almost 8 years. He and I two manned the Heartbreaker achievement at lvl 85, in quest blues, before the legacy system was implemented. It was a great feeling when we downed it

I cannot wait until the release date to get my hands on a demon hunter. Everything I have been reading and watching makes demon hunters look like THE class to be in Legion. As for all 10 of my other characters I still haven't decided which one I want to level to 110 first. I'd love to have my first opportunity in nearly 10 years of playing WOW to have access to a beta. The opportunity to possibly help shape and mold the next expansion would be an incredible experience

Legion looks like its going to be a blast. Can't wait to try out the new PvP system. The PvP system will give me incentive to do random battlegrounds which currently after I outgear BGs, I don't feel like i'm making progress towards something. I started WoW about a month before wrath came out and it's been my number one go to game since then. I was about 13 when i started, and its grown up with me.  My favorite memory of WoW was getting Sul'Thraze the Lasher on my warrior. I got both of the one hands and a druid in my party congratulated me and showed me how to combine them. My second favorite moment in WoW was when I dinged my first max level which was a Death Knight. Legion is going to be awesome and I cannot wait to play.

I look forward to the new UI improvements. I build addons but I'm not on Curse or Wowinterface. I totally want to see what I can do with how the buffs are displaying over the bars now. I also want to build a AFK screensaver with options

I'm most excited for the Artifact system, and mainly the progression of the story. I've avoided spoilers from the initial invasion so far and am excited to see the "big surprise" that is in store. I'm also hopeful that throughout the expansion, they create more Artifact skins and designs, cause right now, some weapons seem a bit lackluster (cough mage... )

I'm playing warlock class since Day One of Vanilla and in all this years I've enjoyed everything about WoW. I love the lore and the gameplay of everything related to the game. Also I'm an achievement hunter and completionist. I'm eagerly looking forward to play Legion 110% like I did every time an expansion came out. Thanks for the opportunity you give us to play this masterpiece earlier than the release date. Good luck to everyone! :-)

As someone who has played for about three years I feel as though Legion is gonna bring the game to new heights with the Artifact system. As I mean, come on right? Wielding Doomhammer? How more epic can something be? I'm very excited to see how the different class stories will affect the overall narrative.

I've been playing WoW since early vanilla and I've always been a big fan of the PvP side of the game, I'm looking forward to seeing the PvP prestige system and all the new abilities and class changes. I hope they can bring hype back to the PvP seen with balanced and exciting classes and gameplay. I think blizzard are going in the right direction and I hope that it can bring a lot of new players and attract the old ones to resubscribe, the best thing about WoW will always be the huge community and any time they make a change that will increase the amount of active players is a good thing in my book

I've been playing WoW since Wotlk so I experienced a lot of cool things in Wow, but I think the best moment was when I finally got Ashes of Al'ar after 4 years of farming^^.

I also really like some of the bosses in WoW and their lore, exspecially the Old Gods and Illidan. So Illidan's return + being able to play a Demon Hunter, which is the class of Illidan, is why I'm really looking forward for Legion. And who knows, maybe we even get so see N'zoth in Legion, which would be awesome:D

So all of you have a nice day and endure the time until the release of Legion! :P

Icy Veins is 5 years old already? Time flies when you're having fun right?Congratulations with your 5th anniversary. That many years may follow.Damn and now I have to choose between so many new cool stuff about legion that I like or looking forward to. I'm going to ty and keep it short  1. As a lore geek I'm really looking forward to the lore. What will happen with Gul'dan?   What are the King and the Warchief going to do about him? How is this whole story going to fit in our current lore? How did Illidan return ? Are we really going to see a glimse of the Emerald Dream ? And so on. Demon hunter. For years most of us want to play a class like Illidan. Run around like powefull demonish person with those amazing warcleaves. Now finally our time has come. Legion is going to make this possible. Artifact weapons. Leveling up your weapon, make it extremely powefull. Gathering all the pieces you need to transform one of the old heros weapon into a weapon even more powerfull than before.Thats my top 3.What i really enjoyed in the past was the opening of the Darkportal. To see so many so people infront of the portal waiting for it to open. Horde and Alliance on a pvp server and no one attacking eachother. Calm before the storm.I also met alot of really nice people over the years and still game with them. All the raids we did together and laughs we had. Never forget them. <3

I'm excited for all the new content in general, but I'm especially excited for the new transmogs, the new dungeons and raids, the artifacts, the class order halls and the demon hunters. I also can't wait to try out the new demo warlock and to see all the other class changes! The new lore is also really interesting to me and I can't wait to get the game so I can know more about it!

I'm actually looking forward to the improved combat text and nameplates. Besides that I'm hoping for lots of relevant content outside of raiding and maybe, just maybe some fun PvP again

Perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm most looking forward to finally being able to play a demon hunter. I've wanted to be able to play one since TBC, so it's hard for me not to be overly excited about Legion. It's the realization of something I've wanted for ten years. I think it would be odd if I didn't feel at least a little hyped. I just hope havoc demon hunters get a bit more depth to their kit by the time Legion goes live. The new honor/prestige system coming in Legion is a close second. Having more of a long-term goal in battlegrounds will make random BGs feel relevant again after years of getting very little from them once the usual gear grind is finished. It'll be nice to have something to work towards when nobody's up for arena. If Blizzard can pull off playable demon hunters and make Legion a more PVP-friendly expansion than those we've had in the past, both in regards to content and balance, I'll be happy to say that the wait was worth it

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
