Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Loved the class fantasy in the past, and loving watching what they are doing with the classes in Legion alpha. I look forward to when I finally choose a class to main - hard to make a choice

I can't wait to learn the stories of the different artifact weapons. One of my fondest wow memories was my Vanilla guilds first Nef kill. The excitement and sense of satisfaction were through the roof. Recently got back into WoW and hope to have more moments like that in Legion

I can't wait to see how well they have done with spec identity, and i am hoping it is somewhat like vanilla used to be in that aspect. I enjoyed both Vanilla and TBC raiding teir system as it felt more rewarding.

I'm mostly excited for the artifacts, although I'll be honest, a lot of the class changes have me really excited! I'm sure it's a divisive topic, but a lot of things I disliked are being "fixed" (IMO), such as WW set-up time, by condensing tiger palm and jab into one button. I'm not too upset about the SEF change, either!

I think my favorite thing in the past has been Siege. It lasted way too long but it was my favorite time raiding. Really, just MoP in general - the zones were beautiful, I actually enjoyed the dailies, and the storyline was engaging. I'm hoping Legion brings that back - I had trouble getting into WoD because it was hard to get any emotional stake in the story with it just being an alternate timeline.

I cannot wait for the followup of the Lich King story and the Illidan story, some of the best villians across any medium and i can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm most excited for the multiple changes that seem to be pointing in the direction of a game that is easier to balance. The artifact talent trees, honor talent trees and the changes to the standard talent trees all seem to provide for a system that allows for a lot of fine-tuning from Blizzard to keep PvP and PvE balanced throughout the expansion. The second most exciting change coming in legion for me is the reestablishment of class and spec identity. In some cases Blizzard may have "over pruned," but I think ensuring each spec has its own specific niche and role will lead to much more engaging game play in both PvP and PvE. Aside from the core game play changes, the transmog changes are easily the feature I look forward to the most. My bank is way too full of transmog gear

I think the biggest things that I am excited to play in Legion are the following: Exploring the new world. This is always one of my favorite and more memorable experiences in a new expansion. It's always good to take the time and really appreciate how much hard work the artists put into the game. Interacting with people in the world again. Getting out of the Garrison and being back in open world type interactions with people is something that we had in MOP but not as much in WOD.Playing ALL of the classes and seeing the different changes that were implemented for PVE. As a raider, I'm very excited to get my hands on each class and experimenting with the changes to see what works well.Watching the lore of the story unfold as we play through.Raiding in the Emerald Nightmare with my wife and friends.Hope to see a glimmer of Wrathion and his future involvement in the story (Maybe another side story? I HOPE.)

IIidan, Malfurion and Tyrande is one of the best love stories in Warcraft. Now Illidan is back and omg,, helping us. but love the fact I get to be a demon hunter. I have always loved that story line.Your designers have done an amazing job with the visuals. Now the movie is near, what a wonderful time to play in our Warcraft world.Looking forward to the beta. Thanks bunches for giving excitement to my future.

I have wanted to play a demon hunter ever since I helped a guildie back in vanilla with that crazy hunter quest in Un'goro Crater. Now granted that wasn't an actual demon hunter, but it put the idea in my head of wanting to be one. I will say after watching as many videos as I can over the last few months of Alpha game play, its really hard to say what class I'll want to go with. The changes that Blizzard has made to classes look like so much fun to play and to me, makes all the classes feel brand new.

I'm excited to see how the artifact weapons play out, and checking out the new models. Finally get some answers I think on gaps in lore that we have had!

Legion has me excited about WoW again, but at the same time, I feel like many others....  If this expansion falls apart like WoD did, I probably won't hang around anymore.

Im really excited for the Artifacts and the Prestige system. while i have my worries about it me and my friend really love going into bg's when we have finished weekly caps and stuff but this expansions gotten a little stale and we dont do it anymore  its always been fun seeing what changes with each expansion and im pumped to see legion add itself to WoW, Pre expansion patch mayhem and the oh so feared launch day server locks I cant wait for legion beta, to get back into pvp with all those new SWEET animations which will make me want to test out every single melee class just to see them all. I main a Priest and heal both pvp and pve ( Pvp more ) so seeing the new healing style of Disc in raids and holy is something i would die to try in a beta

There are so many things about the legion that I'm excited for. I want Gul'dan to pay for what he has done. I want Illidan to come back and fight with us. I want to fight off the legion as a demon hunter (way cool). I'm also stoked for the new transmog system, new dungeons, raids, class halls and even PVP (I am not a PVP'er by any means, but I think I might actually give it a try). And I'm planning on getting every artifact weapon for every class/spec.

This may sound silly, but at the moment I'm most looking forward to the new transmog system.  I have banks and void storage loaded up on all of my characters and need the space back. As far as the most enjoyable moment I had in WoW.  It would have to be the day that my then-boyfriend (and now husband) decided to reactivate his account to log in and play with me.

I'm really looking forward to being able to swap between all specs, I like the idea of obtaining artifact weapons. I've personally been playing the game since the first Beta of Vanilla, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I'm really looking forward to everything the new expansion has to offer

I'm most excited to just explore the new zones which are coming in Legion, Blizzard always put so much effort into the environment and it never fails to impress. Also I cant wait for the transmog wardrobe so I can finally keep track of what appearances I have and get all my chars looking decent. My fondest memory of WoW would have to be when I re-subbed in Mists of Pandaria and finally got to explore, Pandaria was and probably always will be my favourite zone in the game

Best memories from wow for me is probably when me and my classmates had our own little guild back in wotlk, oh how we struggled with naxxramas but oh so much fun we had together =) And as i am a big lore nerd im really interested in the upcoming story of warcraft!

Mostly I'm hyped for Frost DK artefact Q to be honest I really really really love Lich King lore so cant wait to play it my self (or test it even ). Dungeon looks amazing in legion and also new PvP honor system. there is a lot of things I want to do in Legion. In past I enjoyed. well, pretty much everything, Im terrible PvP player so I was always focused on PvE. First raid I have ever progressed was Ulduar and thats another reason why Im hyped for legion. (and sorry for my english ofc )

WoD is the first expansion that I did not fully play through. I'm hoping legion will provide me with some of that tasty BC nostalgia.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
