Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to the new lore and new zones for the most part. I love that they made the highmountain zone, a zone mostly made of mountains, and the top is central located, so i can jump down with my new demon hunter with that nice glide and say hello to Dalaran. I just remember the days when i used to do this Cataclysm

I'm looking forward to the demon hunter class. Since I saw Illidan in warcraft games I tried to mimic it using the classes that wow had but Ive always failed to feel like a demon hunter. I am a little hyped as well for the new spells animations and free 4xploration order in the broken islands.

I am really interested in the changes to Ret pallies. the new focus on using our hands abilities is nice. I love the new Animation too, but I am worried that the play style has been slowed down too much. I have not gotten to play the alpha, but based on some alpha videos that is what is seems like. I'm going to miss Hammer of Warth, but Some of the new abilities looks cool. I main a Ret / Prot pally right now and I plan on doing so in Legion

Really looking forward to Legion. The new honor system looks very awesome I really love doing BG's but the old system just didn't give much motivation to keep doing it, now getting the prestiges & rewards to look forward to makes it that much more fun.And all the rest haha too much to sum up   Actually the cherry to the cake is the new transmog system REALLY looking forward to that one.

I'm waiting to see how evolve lore after WoD: the role of Illidan in the next events and the fate of the leaders of horde and alliance.  I started to play with Burning Crusade and this expansion brings back memories of that .

I really look forward to playing the new survival hunter in legion. Also, my fondest memory was my first raid I actually completed fully which was dragon soul

I've been a rogue since vanilla wow but with the upcoming changes in legion. It looks like I'll be switching to a ret paladin. Who doesn't want to be the Ashbringer???? One of my fondest memories in wow is during Vanilla. The alliance launched a raid on Kargath just as we was setting up our BWL raid. Instead of raiding BWL. We battled against the Alliance for 4 hours. we even hoped onto an alliance guilds vent to find the location of them in badlands to gank them. Fun times

From making ALL of the noobie mistakes when leveling my first character, to tackling new raid content and just goofing around with the friends I have made through this game, I can honestly say that I have gathered a ton of fond memories.  It's a bit of an odd experience to look back over the past 10 years and have genuine memories of an event in a game that feels just as nostalgic as remembering your first bike ride as a kid. I also really love that I still get that same pre-expansion excitement.  Personally, I am looking forward to being able to tailor my leveling experience with the zone scaling in Legion.  I am an a super crowded server and hope that having the ability to spread players out a bit more might help with some of the extreme bottle necking I have experienced in previous expansions.  I am also really interested to see how artifacts will add to the experience and lore when leveling each character.  As always, I am always looking to see what the game will bring after leveling and being able to dive into my pet collecting addiction in my down time

Im looking forward to the new artifact system. I like the idea of having spec based questlines and the possibility to customize the weapon (talents runes  and appearance). Hoping that Dalaran will be the most important place filled with ppl where you can hang out rather than garrisons now, where it seems like a solo rpg.

I cant figure out THE best moment in my wow history, quite a few, but my favourite expansion where definetly bc wotlk ( both as a fresh and young player) and mop (in my opinion best raid encounter design so far).

The thing i'm looking forward to the most in legion is definatly the artifact weapons, from what i've seen it looks like great fun powering up your artifact to make it more powerful. It also gives alot more backstory and meaning to all the different classes and speccs. I'm also looking forward to the raids and the new challenge mode dungeon format which will give people more options for gearing other than raids. I'm hoping that this expansion will bring the people from my old guild back aswell so we can relive and create new memories in all the glorius new content coming out in Legion

Personally, my fondest WoW memory must be stepping into Karazhan during the Burning Crusade. Simply the ambient music triggers the biggest nostalgia ever, endless wiping on Nightbane for the damn T5 attunement. Hopefully Legion can bring back similar experiences!

I'd love to win a beta key to see what Legion has to offer!

Excellent giveaway btw :D

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
