Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

My favorite memories of WoW were the original days of 40 people pushing through Molten Core all week long and the feeling I got when I finally got my Felheart Horns (last set item I needed). As changes happened over the years my warlock has accumulated many items in her bank that you can't get anymore like her firestones, spellstones and items for summoning the Dreadsteed. I'm looking forward to the changes in Demonolgy which are finally making the warlock an army of pets feeling class (or so I hope) which is the original reason I started out on the class and also to the new raids, dungeons and encounters I'll need to learn. I'm also looking forward to the changes to Disc Priest and Holy Paladins.  I've always been a fan of damage converted to healing classes and I'm curious to see how they run.  I know that when MW Monks were doing it in MoP they were considered overpowered and thus changed for WoD so It'll be interesting to see how they implement it in Legion.

I'm really excited for pretty much everything, the new dungeons and the new CM looks really fun. The new class looks pretty nice aswell, so does the artifacts, damn pretty much everything got me hyped so far.

Part of what I'm looking forward to is the content from legion, but really I'm more excited for a return of players. I joined my current guild after a few people decided to call it quits for the expansion, they got burnt out. My current guildies are awesome, and can't wait for more to return soon

Looking forward to playing all classes and getting every artifact weapon.  I have every class capped and ready.  I've always enjoyed leveling and learning all classes/abilities.  Been playing since BC. Love the website I use it for reference all the time, and refers people to you when I can.  keep up the good work.  CHEERS

I feel as though WoD suffered from sacrificing content in favour of quality of life (flexible raids. big big things that don't continue to excite players for long (just look at how normal flexi raids seem to people now)) I can't wait for Legion, because all of these improvements will still be there (and more), but without as much sacrificed development time. Lore advancements are always a huge draw for me, and Legion's got them aplenty (from small things like putting book characters like Tyrathan Khort in the game world to huge things like unique class story lines, I can't wait).  I don't think WoW will ever stop being WoW, that being some issues that are apparent in WoD (and every previous expansion) will still be present in Legion, but I don't care. I've been a fan since I played a few hours on my friend's account in classic (and was ecstatic when I finally got my own during early TBC). I love this game and I'd be overjoyed to get a chance to take a part in the Legion alpha.

I've been waiting to play as a Demon Hunter since I first heard of WoW, being an Illidan fan myself. That's reason enough to buy the expansion, I'm also very curious about the new legendaries/trasmog system and I sincerely hope we'll get some of the nice old WoW feeling, because recently the game has become quite boring

For me I am really looking forward to the "wrongs" being fixed from WoD - Proffessions getting updated, Classes getting fixed and I honestly don't think there is a better time for story and lore. With Chronicles being released and the new film on its way its looking like WoW has just been injected with life again (or will be). I look forward to playing classes that I liked but never wanted to main due to the changes getting made - for example, Rogues. always liked them but would never have raided or done anything meaningful on it, the class looks really good and interesting, sure it doesn't have say 20 abilities but it looks fun to me. Druids, again I loved healing on it but that was about it and now in my opinion they look really interesting, all specs. These artefacts are also adding depth to the classes and a bit of customisation. As memories go? I remember a few years back me and a few friends all took rogues into Arathi Basin and camped the farm. There was 5 of us and the same enemy warlock kept coming down the hill to run to mine and we must have ganked the poor fella about a dozen times lol. Teamspeak was rather funny that evening.  I also remember when I first started tanking and my boomkin friend decided that every pool needed more mobs and would star fall EVERYTHING. He wouldn't even let the mobs hit my DnD first lol

I've been a fan of this website for the longest time, though just now creating an account. I've never been the interactive type of person, so I never felt necessary to create an account.  But, as an old player of the game, I've always wanted to enter the beta for the new expansion. Never got a key, though.

I can't wait to play Legion. It's without a doubt one of the most excited exciting expansions for me so far with all of the changes. PvP looks like it's had a much needed revamp where classes look to feel unique and I love that. I cannot wait to play my Rogue and actually feel like a assassin. I've always loved wow but I really do believe that Legion is going to be one of the best expansions. I've used the website for a long time for advice on certain classes but have never made an account on here. I just want to say thank you and honestly what a great job you guys have done.

First of all, I am a huge RPG-Nerd, therefore i cant wait for the potential lore since even WoD was pretty big, but unfortunately pretty irrelevant, when it comes to lore, since its an AU. Anyways, besides that i really want to test out how my classes feel, to figure out what do play as my new Main in Legion. I wish all of you the best of luck.

I can't emphasize enough of how EPIC of a story this is going to be, that is what I'm looking forward to the most! The Legion has always made their presence felt throughout Azeroth and as we've experienced each chapter of WoW, but, now for it to culminate back to full on invasion, facing the enemy, even your own enemies fear is going to be ripe with some great storytelling experiences. This is what brought me to WoW in the first place, a world and a story that grasped you from the get-go, you actually became vested in your character as a part of a struggle, a story and you, your decisions, etc. help shape 'the world' around you. Can't wait to sharpen the weapon, put on the armor and get of the tavern....I think they're out of beer anyway ;)

I am looking forward to having Dalaran as the crossfaction hub.  My favourite memory in WoW is from when I was a social in a raiding guild in vanilla, and they brought me as a standin to Molten Core to kill Ragnaros. It was my first ever MMO raiding experience, and I loved it

Looking forward to 5 mans (challenge mode iterations) again.  the coverage i'm seeing on dungeons is pretty great.

Maybe (not) looking forward to doing artifacts on 13+ toons.  My alts made me a ton of gold in wod so i'll miss that.

Looking forward to giving PvP a good whirl.

Interested in the notification system where a bnet friend starts a queue etc and you get notified.

I look forward to the talent trees that the artifact weapons will bring out. I also am really amped to play the Demon Hunter class because of the mobility and the class lore that I've been hearing about. I've enjoyed PVE for the most part but PVP is an area i haven't done exclusively. I have enjoyed the beta experiences I have been through and I look forward to the chance to have some input into the process.

Still looking forward to demon hunters, despite everything. I've been waiting for years, I'm not going to let anything ruin the fun I intend to have with them. I've been enjoying PvPing just to up my gear, but overall I still preferred it in MoP over right now. Mythic dungeons and Timewalking were killer additions, too. Sunk a good bit of time into those

played since just prior to BC looking forward to everything - the chance to custom a weapon and hoping that as an altoholic that professions get fixed.  Best moment was doing earning things to make me feel as if i had achieved something.  Took me two days to get aquatic form on my druid prior to BC, and I felt I had earnt it.  7 raids for my first purple item etc.  good days - good guild - good community.

Really appreciate the class guides you guys put out, and the fact that they're vetted by legit players. Always come here when I'm trying a new class/spec.I'm looking forward to new content in general, but always the new raids.

I'm looking forward to the class overhauls the most. I always enjoy new classes, and having pretty much every single class reworked from the ground up is exciting. I haven't been able to pick a class I want to play at all, I'll definitely be trying all of them at this point, since not a single one has been disappointing looking. In the past I have always rolled new classes when they came out, and I have always enjoyed learning something new. Back when Monk came out I leveled two on the Beta and then immediately leveled one when they went live. That was a great time rushing to be the first on the server

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
