Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Personally, I'm looking forward to the renewed focus on class lore and identity, particularly with the new mistweaver and disc priest stuff. Although I don't actively RP anymore, I still like giving my characters a backstory, and the new info that's coming out definitely helps to flesh them out.

In past years, I always found a sense of community to be the thing that I look back on most fondly. Sadly, due to the mechanics in WoD, it felt a lot like playing  a single-player game. I hope Legion can bring back that feeling.

Hi.

I play WoW for a long time, and I am still hyped about it, as about the new exansion Legion. I am spending most of the time in PvP in WoW and i cant wait about what it comes.

Specialy i cant wait for new Demon Hunter class, i always loved dual wielding and fast, class (this one in addition have rly cool lore, this is one of the main things i play WoW at all, awesome lore!), other things are artifact weapons and new PvP prestige system.

I instantly loved PvP when i started playing WoW (this is the most important thig i want to play and test in Legion) but my favorite and most memorable moment is when in MoP i found rly cool guild with cool people and we hitted 2K ratting in rated BG's.

I always have to fight for my beta key, I never got one from Blizz. I hope i will win this time :).

P.S

Sorry for my english its not my first language, but i hope I am writing understandable.

I'm really excited for many things in legion.  I'm really looking forward to trying demon hunters, and I'm also looking forward to playing all of my favorite classes after their changes, such as my monk, warlock, pally, and priest.  I have a couple favorite moments in WoW.  One was during WOTLK, which was the first xpac I hit max level in.  The feeling of finally hitting level 80, and eventually doing heroics and raids was something I had never experienced in a game before, and I will always remember that day.  It was on my DK that I still have today.  Another favorite memory of mine was recently, my roommate and I were just messing around in Nagrand, and we randomly killed Nakk the Thunderer without knowing that he drops a mount.  The excitement we both felt when we got the mount brought me back to my first year or two playing WoW.  I hadn't experienced anything like that in  a while, and it really reignited my love for the game

I've been a WoW player since vanilla, skipped MOP though. Super excited to try out the new rogue specs. I'm thinking about switching my main from mage to rogue and I want to use the beta to test out the leveling process with each character and spec without setting my real chars down a path with the artifact I don't want. I pvp a little bit currently, but I feel like the stat flattening will really get my into PVP more seriously this time around, as it won't feel like such an uphill climb to start learning PVP specs, I can just start with the class and begin learning

I'm pretty hyped for Legion in general. As a raider, I thought I would look forward to the new raids the most, but really it's the little things. like the countless hours I've set aside to spend changing hats repeatedly in the wardrobe manager. Then changing them again. I'm unreasonably excited bout that. My fondest memory in WoW to date is probably the first time killing Algalon in Ulduar with our 10 man group, and the ninja Jeeves repair in the middle of it.

Can't wait for Legion - been playing WOW since day one when I bought it off the shelf at my local store in 2004.  Looking forward to the continuing story and discovering how the Burning Legion started.  Do wish that the old PVP honor system could return, in some way anyway.  Loved the titles that we had to work for

I'm really excited for the legion expansion. I have enjoyed WoD (seemingly unlike most people in forums ./cry) but legion really brings me back to the end of vanilla waiting for BC to come out, getting into the beta (that was awesome, I made a couple of videos now sadly lost), I'm just excited for all the class changes and DH, going to DH tank cause its what I do /shrug.  Overall I'm just most excited for another new experience that I know I'll love just like every other one.

I am particularly interested to see how the new Challenge Mode system turns out and if it will be able to provide a true alternative competitive endgame to raiding.Still have to find out how exactly the loot is going to be scaled and how it compares to raid loot and trinkets/ set bonuses so you are able to stay competitive against mythic raiders, at least in the long run

I am looking forward to the new prestige system the most, really like the way you progress. And the skins for the artifact weapons just look amazing. The things i have enjoyed in the past is both pve and pvp. Focused more on pve in the past because i felt that pvp was not really giving anything. But now with the prestige system i will be able to get a sense of progression from pvp aswell. The best moment i have had in wow was probably when my guild and i took dragon soul hc for the very first time. I still remember the hype when Deathwing was at 3% and the only ones alive was our Prot warrior, resto druid, frost dk and combat rogue. And then the shouts in ventrilo when Deathwing died and the last cinematic started

I'm looking forward to all of the class changes and spell changes, so far the previews that I have seen make it seem like I'm going to have to relearn my class back up from the basics which should be fun and shake things up from the classes I've come to know.

My fondest moments in world of warcraft was being a complete beginner, having no clue what I was doing or what I was supposed to be doing but having a great time doing it.

I believe that Legion will be what revives World of Warcraft for a lot of veteran players. I have been playing since October 2005, and had just enough time to get to level 60 before Burning Crusade launched. In Legion I believe that World of Warcraft will have a similar feel to it as it did when BC launched. I also cannot wait to go back to Black Temple and beat up Illidan with a demon hunter.

Transmog has been one of the best features that Blizzard added to WoW but Legion really takes it to the next level with the wardrobe. Many old raids have become places where my friends and I relax and reminisce while farming new looks. I am excited to reclaim my bank slots across all my characters and look forward to the 7.0 patch arrival where all of my cloth wearers can enjoy my mage's tier 3

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
