Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I honestly can't wait for the artifact weapons in Legion. I feel like they'll bring a whole new feel to the class you're playing, and give your character some self-worth. Also, finding the BiS weapon is hard enough as it is. Another thing is the leveling. I just cant wait to get out of my damn Garrison, lol. Most of my time spent logged in is sitting inside my garrison having other NPC's do things for me, while it was a good idea, it really isolates the player. I try to do everything with friends (whether it's mythic dunegons or HFC pugs). This really gets me excited for the new leveling system, of which I can honestly not wait for. No more stream lined questing. I just hope they designed it right so one zone isn't better than others. Anyways, thank you for the opportunity. I'd love to get in early and check out how everything is working. With the WoD trailer, it left me feeling nothing, but with Legion, I'm actually excited. <3

I'm really excited about artifact weapons and the lore they represent. New pet battle challenges, toys, mounts, a whole game of transmog items to collect as well. Plenty on my plate to do for quite a while

Looking forward to the pvp overhaul, seems to have a touch of the vanilla honor grind but with things to keep it fresh. Have enjoyed the raids in past expansions, especially siege of org' and HFC

I'm really looking forward to trying all the different artifacts, especially the ones for the Warlock class since it's my main. ALso, the wardrobe system looks amazing for us who love transmog. My favorite wow moment was when I killed the Lich King on 25 man for the first time. It was my first Arthas kill and I enjoyed a lot, hearing my guild scream on vent was amazing. Arthas is one of the best villains in Warcraft and it was a really big moment for me to be part of the group of people who killed him

Illidan, Artifact Weapons, Emerald Dream and Old God involvement, Demon Hunters look cool, Karazahn coming back. Karazhan was my first raid experience, just before Zul'Gurub. It was then I decided I needed to be a raider.

I am, as many others, mostly looking forward to the new class. Doing a complete class swap from my monk tank to a DH tank is going to be a fun thing to do for me. The thing that worried me was the loss of the ability to roll backwards, but seeing the DH's have a double charged "heroic leap" looking ability with a short cooldown makes me less worried. My fondest, and most proud wow memory is from when i succeeded in creating a guild that cleared end game content. It has been many years of building and failure, but finally back in SoO we managed to clear the content and even start boosting it. It is by far my greatest achivement in this great game. Also i am looking very much forward to the PvP changes in legion. The PvP talents is a great addition and i will definately be going for multiple prestiges.

With Legion, the lore, artifact quest-lines and Shaman class changes have me excited. Raiding, dungeons, questing, and lore.  I've always enjoyed these things playing wow.  But it has never been just about the game.  Our guild downed H Archimonde only last month.  We may not be the best or fastest raiders. But we sure have a lot of fun doing it together.   I'm looking forward to the new challenge mode system, after the first few weeks of warlords no-one had reason to run heroics  Mythic dungeons have helped bring back that aspect of the game for us and I'm anticipating that the changes will keep dungeons relevant for longer.  As for fondest memories of the game? When I started playing (cata) I didn't know much  A random guild member swooped in from the sky and gave me a hand.

I am excited about Legion for a good many of reasons. I am trying to get into raiding for Legion right now on my feral druid and I know from some videos I've seen on YouTube that the dungeons are going to be epic. I am also a big lore fan so the new novels that are coming out with Legion are a big bonus and the lore of the entire expac as well as the artifact weapons.  The new increased view is something that I think will bring a new life to the game and the new models and animations for fighting and druid forms make me really happy too. I have been waiting for an update on my cat form for a long time and I know the Boomkin needed updating big time. I know some people don't like the idea of artifact weapons, but I think they're great. They allow you to customize your character even more and you get to be more immersed in your class and the lore of the continent which brings me to the non-linear questing that comes with Legion. I think Blizzard has really stepped it up in this expansion and from what I've seen in alpha videos online, I hope the Beta will be just as good. I'd really like to be part of it as soon as I can

The thing im looking forward to the most is gathering all the artifacts and progressing with all of them, over all the specs and classes that I currently play. My all time favourite moment in wow so far has to be the first time I saw ragnaros appear, sartharion 3 drakes was also a insanely fun encounter to experience.

I'm probably most excited about Dalaran, just because of the nostalgia. But most features are actually really exciting and interesting. I'm also without a doubt rerolling to Demon Hunter so I can't wait to actually test them out and get a feel for them

Im looking forward to experiencing the lore that's coming to legion, I'm excited to see the places of old, the area around where the well of eternity sat, and the opportunity to finally fight xavius an enemy who's been around since the war of the ancients. hopefully we also finally get  a view of N'zoth, the last old god currently on azeroth. really i want to be able to test everything currently in the legion builds and i also want to experience the lore. with the story being expanded, and how ive basically grown up with this story I have a strong craving to put my two cents in to make sure everything will be properly ready for launch

I am incredibly excited for this expansion, it resembles the feelings I had personally of the earlier days of the game but with the modern updates which enhance this experience. Blizzard have always made sound decisions on content but I feel this particular expansion carries a element of longevity that maybe hasn't been here for a little while. The new dungeons such as Maw of Souls and Vault of the Wardens are examples of thought processes that haven't been truly explored until now. I've never had access to any previous BETA opportunities and would be overwhelmed if this time I'd be considered to assist. I'm willing to put in the hours so help blizzard bug reporting and make this expansion a success as much as it can be. I'm extremely happy to see the Artifact weapons more than others due to the frustration sometimes of trying to acquire a weapon in previous expansions. Last but not least the PvP which I've never really done properly this time round carries implications for skins and style that can be taken into raids. So I feel the elements being introduced intertwine and are not limited to just PvP. HONOR SYSTEM IS TOO GOOD. I look forward to being considered. Regards, Nathan

Really looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter. I'm already reading as much as I can about them, since my guild wants me to be the DH class lead

I've been playing since mid-BC and yet I've never experienced a raid while it was relevant.  So I'm hoping to be able to put enough time in this next expansion to be able to do at least 1 raid as soon as it comes out. Also I'm really excited for pirate rogues

Congratulation on yours 5years of epic infos for all my favorites games.  First of all I miss the old day when you had to have friends that last in time were you always need them to complete content. Now theses days you just spam a check bouton and its match you too ppl you don't care so much that you instant kick if they fail.  Blizz want to put the game in more cooperation game and give us the opportunity to play with more ppl, but I fellt like game is getting more individual than its has never been. I want to Legion to get rid of LFR and force player to get skill and not being afk/carry to get a chance for a loot because its totaly ruin the game experience that is intended. Wish you guys good luck for the next 5 years and more

I'm really excited to finally be wielding the ashbringer. My favorite memory in WoW would have to be the Ulduar Raid. The way you enabled hard modes were interesting and you could do it on a fight for fight basis

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
