Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm actually hyped for something different than just one thing. Because when you think about it, in previous expansions there was one area that was good and the rest went down the drain. For example, having good PvE hits the PvP hard every recent expansion because of all the focus put into PvE and not in PvP. Legion though. They are literally putting out content for every single player. You being a pve player, pvp player, straight up casual, lore guy, rp guy, anything. That's what I love about Legion and the direction they are taking it to.

Can't wait to see the elf city and all the lore around the elfs in this new place. As well as the new elf race! As well of all the lore we can find around in our Quest for dealing with the Legion! :3

As a veteran wow player, and not only wow, I have been playing Blizzard games since their release of the vikings game. Ever since I was a little kid i have played Blizzard's games even Warcraft RTS which I still play. Playing through the years of wow which i have been playing since November 23rd, 2004 the day it was released and have played since then with breaks here and their because adulthood doesn't allow you free time all the time like when i was little. I have stuck with this game through it all its low points and high points like BC,WOTLK i felt personally that after BC and WOTLK the game had kinda went downhill. I felt a lack of attention to the game, like attention to detail to armor i am big on how my armor looks which is why i loved when they introduced transmogrification all my character in WOD have a transmog set. But even still Cataclysm was a pretty decent expansion all together some nice armor pieces nice weapons and a good story line like usual but in pandaria the game seriously lacked in a lot of areas pvp fell off and was imbalanced, pve just got boring after a few runs not all that challenging and the game just felt to easy with heirlooms. In WOD the game started great nice story and lore but seriously lacked content big time you got 3 months of content supposed to last two years and thats why a lot of people left and even i havent played all that much and i have 6 level 100's and 4 90's and i have a high ilvl on about 3 of my 100's. I just feel like WoW needs some tender loving care which is what i feel Legion will do because i have been waiting on a New hero class for years plus a demon hunter even longer and the artifact weapon idea is genius. i honestly cant wait ti see what it brings to the table because i feel it will bring some of the old players back plus new ones. Some of my favourite times in wow were in vanilla obviously the game was at its peaks it was challenging and fun and just all around revolutionary to MMORPG's. Just like when Ahn'Quiraj was released and they didn't realize their servers couldn't hold that many players at once in one place because they didnt think that many would show, or raiding onyxia for days just to get it right because one breath would wipe half your raid and when c'thun was so hard they had to nerf him in a patch because one laser eye would kill everyone. this game has had some amazing times for me just wish it felt the same

But I'm kinda nervous of what kind of ability pruning blizz is doing. I do not like the new combat (probably because I don't like pirates). And I like the current shadow dance for sub not to big of a fan of the new one. And as for resto druids I don't think their new mastery fit their current role in a raiding team as it does now.

So i looking forward to new lore. Both Sylvanas and Nightmare lore makes Legion much excitee sinc we've been fighting with orcs for more than 2 years.Plus since its our timeline it makes it feel "real".So lore is what i looking for most. Most memorial moment of mine must be the first time i've took a flight path fom darnasus to Lor'danel on my 5 lvl trial account night elf rogue because i was stalking 2 hunter which were going to lordanel to tame nightsabers.

Ye the pvp system looks very interesting. I used to play only arenas in tbc, I really hope those changes will make me return to my natural life in legion.

Im really excited what will happen with Illidan. Will he become a foe again ? There are so many prospects in this upcoming expansion. Im also glad that Blizzard decides that the diffrent specialisations will be so unique and special in their own way. I watched many streams and overviews and like the new gamplay alot.I am more the PvE player and enjoyed the design and mechanics of the encounters in the past. My favorite patch is still 3.1 and their big raid dungeon Ulduar, all encounters were great, especially the mechanic to trigger the hardmode, best feature ever. The emerald nightmare and the nighthold looking really stunning. Hope the encounters will be innovative and challanging. Well maybe I could be able to test it, if I would get a key.

Legion looks like its going to be a blast. Can't wait to try out the new PvP system. The PvP system will give me incentive to do random battlegrounds which currently after I outgear BGs, I don't feel like i'm making progress towards something. I started WoW about a month before wrath came out and it's been my number one go to game since then. I was about 13 when i started, and its grown up with me.  My favorite memory of WoW was getting Sul'Thraze the Lasher on my warrior. I got both of the one hands and a druid in my party congratulated me and showed me how to combine them. My second favorite moment in WoW was when I dinged my first max level which was a Death Knight. Legion is going to be awesome and I cannot wait to play.

Well, like many players, I've been waiting to play a demon hunter since Burning Crusade. The new zones are breath taking and I can't wait to explore the lush envirnoments. Not only that, but I LOVE the new transmog system. It will be a lot easier to use in my opinion, and something I may have collected on my old priest on a different server can now be used on my priest that I play now. The artifact system is pretty neat too. I can't wait to level up my holy and shadow priest artifacts. In fact, I may just atleast do the intro and get all the artifacts on all of my characters. The new PvP system is interesting too, and I can't wait to see it in action. Last but not least, I can't wait for the new spell animations. We finally got new updated character models, but we need some new pretty animations to complete the look.  Honestly I'm just excited for Legion. I haven't been this pumped about an xpac since Wrath. I love the lore in WoW and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds in Legion as well. Heheh, I guess you could say I really just am excited and looking forward to everything in Legion. Warlords was a bit of a disappointment for me

I am looking forward to the new class halls, class quests and playing the demon hunter. I really enjoyed the quests that Blizzard has made since Cataclysm and the dungeons in each expansion.

I know its something simple but i love the fact that the artifact weapon will include cosmetic changes for druid.  One of my favorite experiences was that even when stationed overseas my guild allowed me to raid with them even though i useless during boss fights since the lag back then was killer.

What I'm looking forward to most is playing the new Survival Hunter.  Always wished for a melee based spec to fight alongside my pet.  A close second is the new transmog system, so glad they are finally changing this, free up soo much bag space.  I also have all 11 classes to level up and acquire artifact weapons, plus new demon hunter. I hope maybe there might someday be an anh'qiraj style server event.

I'll be curious to see how warrior tanking plays out since blizzard is switching back to 'generate rage through damage' model. Not too confident that'll play out well based on BC results

I'm very much looking forward to the rework coming to Mistweaver monk. I do mythic raiding on one right now, and I certainly will miss it, but it's always fun trying something fresh and completely new. My favorite moment would be me doing Heroic Butcher progression way back at the beginning of highmaul as an Arcane mage. He does a knockback that interrupts spell casts, and I was just starting my Evocation cast as he did it because I wasn't paying attention, and my mana pool was extremely low afterwards and I knew i wouldn't do enough damage to push the enrage timer. So, trying to be quick on my feet, i conjured mana food mid-pull, used invisibility, and tried to eat it to re-gain mana. Little did I know, you can't drop combat like that in highmaul, and my raid leader was also watching me and pointed it out once he saw that I created 20 mana strudels >_> We ended up laughing about it later, though.

I was one of the numskulls that chose to take a hiatus during MoP since it did not seem appealing.1 there was so much I missed and for the first few months of returning I loved it so much, but as most people know content was too repetitive and garrisons, while a great idea, made the game far too simplistic in professions and gold gathering. Now in Legion I can't wait for everything, I for one love change and of course every xpac has it. I want to see the new class halls, the artifacts, I can't wait for Xavius since even though he didn't have much appearance early on he was one of my favorite lore characters(Behind Putress of course). The new pvp system seems add a cool touch to the game also.(maybe they might balance the human racial). Last is my love for my Feral to be able to get a new skin. I have seen the backside of my characters head for so long and I can't change it through xmog :c.

I am really looking forward to the Prestige System. It looks like a fantastic area to even out/remove Racial Abilities to make all races fair and equal to play. I'm also quite excited for the raiding and the Artifact Weapons we're getting. They look AMAZING 10/10. Can't wait to play my Balance Druid in Legion . Truly the moments I enjoyed in the past was doing Heroic Lich King, it was a 9/10 fight. I also had quite a lot of fun playing my balance druid in MoP and meeting new people as I did 5v5 1v1's.

I'm looking forward for playing as Enhancment or Shadow, but the decision is so hard without being able to test the classes by myself. I mained a warrior for more than four years, but since Cata I change my mains regularly, because leveling and equipping a new char gets easier and easier and I love to test different classes

I'm really excited for Legion. I'm looking forward to demon hunters and how they are revamping all the class designs. I've looked forward to playing a demon hunter since the burning crusade.

My fondest memories of wow is probably during wotlk. Raiding with my friends, battlegrounds, arenas, attacking alliance towns, and just the crazy shenanigans we would pull were the best. I really miss those days.

Here's hoping legion is going to be just as fun and full of crazy adventures.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
