Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I think everything they have announced and shown about legion is amazing. The classes look amazing and each spec looks very unique. The one thing im super excited for though is professions. I love that you actually have some progression with them and its going to take a while before you have all the best recipes which will keep people playing and give raiders something to do on non raid days

I like the garrisons in WOD, I enjoy the crafting and customizing of it even when it was limited, but specially I love the bodyguards and the perks, I am looking forward in legion for the halls hoping that give me the same feeling as the garrison, I know is gonna be different, but I hope for some perks to and bodyguards, hope more than WOD. It feels like SWTOR companions but I like the limited kind that blizzard did in WOD.

I'd really love the chance to get a key since I'm highly interested in the game and legion seriously sounds like a great expansion, and I'd love to get some more information about it. My best memory is probably this Christmas. Me and my friends had our own little party with lots of mini games and secret santa gifts. It was just so fun and everyone put all their money into it so we gave away things worth like 150k. It just made me so happy and it really got me into a Christmas mood. I truly hope you find this to be an acceptable comment, take care

I am really looking forward to dungeons being relevant throughout the entire expansion, as I play with mainly a small group of close friends the challenges modes will be really fun. Also looking forward to artifact weapons and testing them all out

I'm looking forward to the max level content in Legion, including the dungeons (and their challenge modes), raids, the new dailies system, and the professions.  It seems like a lot to keep people engaged.

My fondest memory about WoW was leveling my first character in vanilla.  I thought a warrior with a shield looked really cool, and so I leveled as sword and board.  Oh, it was sooo slow. I went all the way to level 60 that way.  Good times.  Hehe.

One of my biggest complaints of WoD was the lack of things to do that felt rewarding. I'm looking forward to Legion for several reasons, one of which is what looks to be a lot of new content to do. Daily missions all over the isles, new crafting, cool new weapons, and a FOX MOUNT. I am eager to see the new expansion

I'm excited for WoD to be coming to an end lol. No but on a more serious note the artifact weapon and as always class changes. I'm also hoping that I really enjoy demon hunters because I need a new melee class to main lol

I'm happy to see you guys succeed so greatly. Icy-veins has been my #1 warcraft resource finder, I regularly look up guides here and have been doing so for quite a while now. Without you I probably wouldn't even be playing WoW.

I'm looking forward to a lot in Legion. The class changes (Prot Pala and Boomkin mostly.), the focus on Old Gods/Legion lore from further in the Warcraft past, instead of the mostly new stuff from WoD. I'm excited for the new animations for classes too, which I believe will make the game feel a lot smoother and more fun to play. The artifact weapon system is something I'm happy about, I adore weapons that grow or feel like they have a personality or soul, and another form of progression for characters will be a way to keep me playing on one character, as opposed to the alt-hopping I'm currently doing. My only fear is that I might not get a group of 5 to stick with the game properly to run challenge modes. I've had poor luck with groups and guilds in the past.

I'm most excited to see how we'll tackle the story aspects of repelling the actual Burning Legion invasion. I'm hoping it involves recruiting some of our friends from Uldaur to hold the line until we can mount a proper defense. Between the Old Gods involvement in the Emerald Dream and the Legion's invasion I can't help but wonder if the Titan's will be returning soon to assess the situation and take appropriate measures. With the Algalon fail-safe disabled our direct beacon to the Titans who are current in the Twisting Nether is out of commission, along with the connect doomsday device located in Uldum. So it should be great to see how they handle the story. As for past experience, it's still Wrath of the Lich King. Arriving on the shores of Howling Fjord for the first time and getting actual chills and a feeling of coldness and trepidation. To this date no other game has had such a effect on me in this manner. I must have spent hours while leveling just taking in scenery while exploring Northrend for the first time way back in 2008

In legion I am most looking forward to the new dungeons and raids and also testing out the class changes that revolve around the artifact weapons and otherwise, especially for mm hunter and ret pally (my mains this expansion). Also keen for some awesome new quests and lore in the new expansion. My fondest memory during the amount of time I've played WoW over the last year was probably the first time I killed Archimonde in HFC with my guild, it felt epic and rewarding and I was happy to be there with a group of people I enjoyed playing with

I am really excited for the new transmog changes but what I am hyped about the most are the new raids. I have finally found an amazing hardcore guild to raid with and I cannot wait for the upcomming progress.I have been playing WoW since vanilla, even tho I was young back then and do not really remember much of it. Except running around in Mulgore trying to get the awesome grey gear with highest armor possible. This is probably my most cherrished memory of WoW because it was the start of many amazing years of playing

I'm excited for Legion and all the massive overhauls.  I feel like WoD had an incredible amount of potential that didn't quite work out so I'm optimistic that Legion will correct all the missteps in WoD. I started playing WoW in 2008, about three months before Wrath came out.  One of my favorite memories was my first (and favorite) instance: Deadmines.  Me and two of my friends 3 manned it over the course of two and a half hours.  I was a Warlock and my buddies were a rogue and a pally.  We used my voidwalker to tank the whole thing. I've been hooked on pve content ever since.   I'm currently a Frost DK and I'm looking forward to rerolling to a healer for Legion.  Really want to get into the beta so I can try out both druid and shaman and see how the changes feel. I've also recently moved in with two of my good friends who also play WoW.  We have an extra bedroom that has become "command central" with all of our desktops and a speaker system for music. Looking forward to us all grouping up and leveling thru Legion and doing the new content together

Really wanting to experiment with some of the redesigned specs. But even more I want to experience some of the new dungeons first hand, they look a lot better than the WoD ones and more difficult too

There is so much content to try in Legion. but I'm really interested to try out CM's when they are available as it sounds like this will probably be some tough 5 man content to tackle in-between raiding. I'm also just excited to level again, Highmountain looks amazing

Five years? Five years simultaneously seems too long ago and too recent to be true. Thank-you for allowing me to progress from panicked cramming of information before a PuG, to successfully leading others in our endeavours. I enjoyed the little anecdote about Icy Veins' beginning.  I am really happy with all I have seen of Legion so far. Sitting with my irl partner eating Hallowe'en candy watching the Blizzcon panels, in awe at the new zones. The new PvP system is intriguing and should help with balance. The levelling system, innovative. but I particularly love the reinforcing of each class. The insanity-instilling shadow priests, the melee hunter, the master-of-minions demo lock. THE WARDROBE. It all looks very promising. You've gotten my hyped about this potential beta key now. Well done. Thank-you for the opportunity and everything you've provided to the community in these five years. demon hunters, baby.

It's been a while since the great Fury warrior ChupaaCabraa of Medivh has been to travel across all the realms. In my old age I enjoy traveling place to place by my own means, I love seeing the sights and taking in all the breathtaking wonders and if I enjoy them enough sketching a few of the details to go along with my favorite records of lore. When I'm not mining and creating wares to give away to new residents of my favorite local auction house, I'm usually found surveying over the lands occasionally dropping down from the heavens to aid in lvling up new heroes all while digging for archaeological finds.  Artifacts are what excite me the most, I have a masterful collection and would love to wield the storm-forged rage filled Valarjar. I will not rest till I find Shalamayne, not even an M-Fortnight. After all I taught Zygor everything he knows

I look forward to playing the new hero class Demon Hunter. When Death Knights came out I was very excited and have been playing one as my main since WOTLK, but now I want to switch to the ultimate melee class. I have been a WOW player since beta and my roots go deep in this game, but the thing I miss the most is 40 man raiding because it was ridiculous, fun and challenging all in one. I made guilds mean something back then who really relied on each other to progress throughout the game. I am older now and have a job and a new baby boy, so my time may be limited these days, but I still play whenever new content comes out to explore and experience

Posts: 1 As a twink and a 70 hunter player I've been looking forward to being able to use my Trollbane for years. I kept it, with Mongoose enchanted on it, in my bank forever, hoping that one day we'll be able to use it again. That day has come and I shall Wing Clip, Raptor Strike and whatever other melee abilities they add, the hell out of your legs

Well it´s hard to say what I´m looking for in Legion since there is so much good in it. But I´d say top ones are demo lock changes because I´ve always thought since metamorphosis it to be about summoning demons not turning to them so I´m glad it´s finally happening. Also the skull artifact is really unique, as well I like the idea of artifact weapons giving more customisation than just giving one more talent row.PvP changes looks so nice I might actually play it big time. Hmmh I´ve played since vanilla I could go hours about how great it was but I´d say greatest thing about it all has been my always shammy friend who´s played with me it from start all this time. Nothing can replace those memories and I hope I can make more of those in Legion as well.Other than that I recall vividly is this one time in ICC HC proggressing Lady Darkwhisper and some of you may know her shield ability that when it runs out she is taunt immune. That time I was competing as hunter against my guild rogue in dps and raid leader aka tank was yelling in teamspeak to us since we´re ping ponging the boss with missdirects and feigndeath/vanish. So much fun   Anyways can´t wait for awesomenes Legion brings

I am honestly so pumped for Legion. I love WoW in general so much and getting new content is always so amazing to me. It's great to have new places to explore, new npc's to meet, new quests to complete, new EVERYTHING. I also love how everything ties into the lore at some point and to learn more about Azeroth and everyone in it is just so astounding to me. As much as I love new content, I really love the old contend as well because it brings back nostalgia when you go back to it and over all WoW has given me such an amazing experience and I'm excited to see what more Legion has to offer. :)

I'm excited to see if my beloved main, my resto/ele shaman will be a joy to play again. Also the artifact weapons, I hope they are as challenging and rewarding as previous legendaries to get (MoP Cloak) rather than a tedious grind collecting 20 of this and 3 gazillion of that (Ring zzzzz). I'll also be super excited to step foot out of my garrison and never return

Looking forward to trying out the new melee hunter spec.   Very excited that they are making hunter specs different from each other.    Looking forward to artifacts, but my BM hunter would prefer a bow to a gun

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
