Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Can't wait for demonology warlocks to rely on their pets instead of stance dancing. The current demonology playstyle is awful, I chose a warlock to use demons as my weapon but nooo Blizzard just had to add a demon form which I need to keep track of and switch in and out of depending on my resources, procs etc etc. The new playstyle in Legion seems to be awesome with a most of the damage coming from both permanent and temporary pets

I look forward to the artifact weapons, the new lore, and of course the new raids. My fondest memories include BWL and TOT. I think I enjoyed MoP much more than most people did

I'm a little concerned how Legion will impact WoW. A lot of people are excited for artifact weapons, but I'm not. I think they may end up being a bad idea. This comes in two parts: 1) artifact weapons are these massively important plot line weapons, and we're going to use them either just for one expansion pack to be discarded in the next or we will be using them for the rest of the game--neither seems like a great choice to me. 2) This may be a minor problem, but there are some specializations (shadow priest) that have two different level 100 talents that have completely different itemization priorities. What if the weapon for that particular specialization has the wrong stats for one of the talents? Either the talent gets reworked, or, more likely, it sits there and does absolutely nothing as everyone is forced into one particular spec. I am super excited about the transmog closet, though. And I will wait and see on class halls. It's hard to pick and choose because there are so many of them. Perhaps it was mountain climbing between Loch Modan and eventually successfully climbing my way up to the Ironforge Airport in vanilla with one of my friends. Maybe stepping foot into my first raid in vanilla and having zero idea of what I was doing but knowing I wasn't screwing up the strategy when the raid leader was yelling at everyone else. Haven't stopped raiding since, other than when I took a break from WoW.

Im really looking forward to having a realatively balanced pvp expansion so it will give all players a good chance.I loved pvp before but the new pvp system looks interesting. I think my favorite past time playing was in MoP when I first started to pvp it was so new and fun for me thats all i did everyday for weeks

First of all what I have really enjoyed most in the past was just talking to my friends, completing tasks in-game whether it was pvp or pve because doing them together made things fun. In Legion I am looking forward to playing demon hunter more than anything. I've wanted to play it since I saw Illidan and the fantasy will allow me to immerse even more into the gameplay

In past expansions I enjoyed doing world content outside of Raiding. Here's to hoping Legion will bring back the content I loved so much

Favorite moment in WoW of all time was when me and my guild back in WOTLK took down Putricide in ICC, it was a huge accomplishment and a great time. I cant wait for WoW Legion I've been waiting for the legion to return since BC ended and have ALWAYS wanted to play a demon hunter. The animations to the classes look so interesting and I cant wait to test them all out.

As always, I'm definitely excited for the class changes. A lot of people complain about the pruning, which is kinda legitimate, but I'n really excited for the way they're making your talents sorta choose if you want to have a complex or simple rotation. Also the hard focus on dungeons they're doing this time. My fondest memories are from raiding during Cataclysm, actually, for all the beef people have with that expansion. I played the Worst Warlock spec and i really hardcore raided for the first time, and aah it was so good. Cata Destro was my 10000000-button gcd-locked clunky baby and I'll miss it forever.

I'm looking forward to the new Demo Warlock. I like the idea to have many demons at the same time. My Best thing in the past is to join a guild and make many of the members to my friends. And i loved the ICC Raid

I'm really looking forward to the Order Halls and the revival of Melee Hunters. It's been a long time since Hunters got a real overhaul (last one that comes to mind was when they replaced Mana with Focus and removed Ammo), and I'm looking forward to seeing how the differentiated specs play out

I've had many breaks from the game over the years. But, i must say, this is the first opportunity for me to "catch" an expansion from A to Z. And I'm also quite excited for the Artifacts, and the previews made me try and start a new class for this expansion

Well, I've enjoyed the PvE content in every expansion so far, and Legion is looking great so far. Also, a new class to tank with is always welcome, so the expansion can't come soon enough

For what I'm looking forward to in legion.the transmog system. New raids and content and all that are going to be great.but emptying my inventory of some items I've held onto for nostalgia or appearance over 11 years of play would be best. There are a lot of moments in raiding in particular that stand out, good and bad.but I think the "last man standing, frostshock kill of Nefarian" in BWL was best, especially with all the buzz around frost shock at the time.

I'm looking forward to check out the changes to item progression (artifacts and challenge modes mostly), as well as the changes to my love and joy class and spec (Subtlety Rogue).Of course I look forward to test a new class (Demon Hunter) to hopefully experience a new playstyle, but most of all to learn more about the lore surrounding Demon Hunters as a whole.Last but not least, the lore surrounding Warcraft is something I'm eager to be a part of, especially when combining the storytelling from books and comics with the games

My fondest memory of playing World of Warcraft may be my first: entering the intimidatingly massive world and first exploring with a friend doing the same, best of all feeling a part of the games world as I looked around every nook and cranny in Stormwind and Ironforge which got me hooked from when I first started years and years ago. What I'm most looking forward to in Legion would be trying out all the specs for my Death Knight, Monk and Rogue characters to see how they feel to play now that the new spell and ability animations are being implemented. The artifact weapons and transmog improvements are also a huge draw as well as this. On top of this all I'm very tempted to try healing for the first time. If it wasn't for the class guides on this site chances are I wouldn't have experimented with as many classes and found the right one for me, maybe meaning I wouldn't be playing today so thanks for all the help

I'm excited to explore the lore-rich areas that are the Broken Isles and find out the fate of many of our important leaders of Azeroth! But more importantly, I hope to be able to lure back the friends that I made playing this game since Vanilla. Most have left because they feel the game has nothing else to offer them. For me, it will always hold a special place in my heart. I have made life-long friends and hope to continue to make new ones along the way as we get to experience the amazing content Blizzard brings us every time!

Legion has so many things to look forward to like the class updates bringing more uniqueness to each spec. Also the new pvp system is exciting to think about. What I am most looking forward to if the Broken Isles themselves. The lore that has encompassed this world seems to all lead back to the Isles and to finally return and explore the ancient land is something I can not wait to see.  As for my favorite time in the game to date has to be raiding back in Burning Crusades. More specifically Black Temple and fighting Illidan have to be the most exciting moment in the game followed by Icecrown. To be able to take part of such historical events in this games lore makes me a very happy girl

My two favourite classes are druid and warlock so the things I am most looking forward to are having a floating skull follow me around as my weapon (while commanding a legion of demons) and the new looks for druid forms. My fondest memories are of the class quests for druid and warlock (yes even swimming out to that chest off the coast of Westfall for the aquatic form quest). In particular the dreadsteed quest-line and the ritual of doom quest-line. One thing I really appreciate about Star Wars: The Old Republic is the individual class stories that are so varied between classes and factions and is something I hope we can get a taste of in WoW: Legion with the artefact quest-lines and class halls

Hello,

I look forward to the release of World of Warcraft legion extension for multiple reasons:

Having started the game on the ICC extension, I have not had the opportunity to enjoy the legendary events of Burning Crusade, including kill Illidan. This part of the Lor seems hectic and King Varian Wrynn will die !?

I look forward to discovering how to move the new class of demon hunters.

I think Blizzard opens the possibility of introducing combat mechanics in 3 dimensions. the damage enemies can imagine that do have a visible drop in "x", "z" but also in "y".

In the WoD extension of a mechanical introduced me most attractive and the Kargath Bladefist in mythic named "Roar of the Crowd". If the tactic is applied correctly increase the damage otherwise they decrease. I like the principle: better you do, the more you win.

My best memory: With my wife and friends during fierce evenings raid Heroic Mode 10 mens before mythic exist.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
