Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking forward to the Order Halls and the revival of Melee Hunters. It's been a long time since Hunters got a real overhaul (last one that comes to mind was when they replaced Mana with Focus and removed Ammo), and I'm looking forward to seeing how the differentiated specs play out

The biggest thing I am looking forward to is demon hunters. I can not wait to play them as one of the new melee pvp classes next to survival hunters. Currently, wow is kind of boring especially in pvp, where all you focus on is burst. The cc chains are very limited, and it kind of gets stale after a while

I have enjoyed doing achievements past expansions, i especially love Reputation achi's. I have 60 exalted and i hope they add more achievements like that with the addition of title and stuff. I am looking forward to playing an enhancement shaman because animations look super cool as of right now

For what I'm looking forward to in legion.the transmog system. New raids and content and all that are going to be great.but emptying my inventory of some items I've held onto for nostalgia or appearance over 11 years of play would be best. There are a lot of moments in raiding in particular that stand out, good and bad.but I think the "last man standing, frostshock kill of Nefarian" in BWL was best, especially with all the buzz around frost shock at the time.

Having sat out Cata and MoP, coming back in WoD kicking ass, finding new friends and getting 13/13M definitely makes me wan't to continue playing again in Legion. The Old Gods are some of the most thought through elements of the game, and I can't wait (and hope) that we get the chance to kill another one of them  I've played since Warcraft II was released and the campaigns were amazing to complete, transfering that over to an MMORPG and playing through the "storylines" of the franchise have been like reading a book and playing it at the same time, which no other game comes close to achieving  Being able to play in the "druid lore" part of WoW is what I'm looking most forward to

Wow so many things I'm really excited.First, the new combat emotions. I've saw some footage of the Warrior Arctifact chain quest and got really hyped of how Blizzard will make with the other classes.Second, the PvE. What to expect on raids, regarding mechanics, fights, and of course, the lore.Third, I've never enjoyed pvp a lot but with this new system I must say I have high expectations. Especially with pvp talents that kept barring the PvE ones in the past. On the overall, I am optimistic with how Blizzard will provide content for us to keep playing.

I started playing WoW back in August of 2007.  I tried out different classes but the one that stood out to me was the Retribution Paladin.  I ended up getting level 70 on my ret towards the end of season two and I lived for the BG grind.  Really looking forward to the prestige system.  Always looking for more incentive to farm battlegrounds. Halfway through WOTLK I got the urge to play a mage so I leveled one up and have mained it ever since, but I am more than eager to get back to my roots in Legion.  I am a little concerned about how much is changing but I do believe that Blizzard will deliver an awesome experience as always.

There's actually a ton I'm excited for. I know it's a controversial one, but I'm excited for the world drop legendaries if they stay in the game. I'm also excited for the demonology warlock changes. I'm hoping the professions take a step backward from WoD and become a bit more relevant again, especially the gathering professions. I felt like some professions ended up useless, like jewelcrafting when items no longer roll guaranteed sockets

Before, I had no sense of fashion. People laughed at me in the streets of Orgrimmar, pointing at the color of my pants or the way my spaulders didn't match my helmet. I was so sad. I was yelling at them: "It's no my fault, I don't have any space left in my bank and void storage". I felt depressed every time I had to destroy a new piece of gear I could have matched with another.

Now, with LNTS (read: Legion New Transmog System), I'm a new Troll and a new Priest. Colors will be matched... I'll be able to choose between neats and knife-pleats, lettuce hems and unitards, vents and yokes, shiny maces and flashy staves...

Thanks to you, LNTS, I'm a fashionably reborn. Finaly.

I'm most looking forward to being out in the world again, and this time having use of the whole world as opposed to tiny little areas designated for max level. Professions look really interesting too. As for my fondest memory, it would be receiving my first epic mount. I spent an age grinding motes of water to sell on the AH in Skettis, so finally hitting the 5000g I needed had me on top of this world

Oh there is so much hype for it. Other that the Burning Legion is my favorit lore, Demon hunters are just sooo. NOM. A class i have been wanting to play sens BC, and they managed to make them look even more badass, i mean with the dubble jump and glide, and all the costumasations. Raids and lore is the main thing im looking forward to, maybe the new pvp system will make me try some pvp again. And artifacts ofc, who wont love being one of thousand of paladins with Ashbringer. But the thing i like with Artifacts are the way you level them up, so you allways have something to do in game.Allso some hype to the new proffesion system, i think it will make farming alot more fun.And ofc, from the roomers, a shit ton of legendary items, who dosen't want some diablo 3 feels in wow, and what i hear is that the items drops at random, so there isen't really a way to farm it, you just need that sweet sweet luck.So in short. Pritty much hype for EVERYTHING in legion. I canno't wait.SLove Pepe the demon overlord.

Three words: Dual-Wield Frostmourne. Cannot wait to slay some demons.  In WoTLK, slaying undead was amazing. slaying demons with the infamous blade is going to be glorious, cannot wait.

What I'm most looking forward to is the exploration of the Broken Isles. I RP a Stormreaver who was stranded there until the Night Elves came, so I'm looking forward to running around and thinking up all the memories for my character.

I'm looking forward to both PvE:ing and PvP:ing, both looks great so far. The 2 new talent systems seems super cool too. Artifacts are also really sweet looking, can't wait to try it all out. Would be lovely with a key now that WoD is kind of dried out on content. Thanks for the giveaway and congratz on 5 years.

Gosh, there are so many things I'm looking forward to for Legion. I'm most excited about the transmog system I think. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all my empty bank space once everything is added into the collections

What am i looking forward to in Legion...

Transmog!!! Sounds daft but after 11 years of playing i have bags and bags of gear i would like to try out, including accessing previously vendored quest items i.e. Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart. Obviously having legendaries - no brainer!

What i enjoyed in the past...

I used to love how players use to help each other out in 5 man pugs and with questing having great attitudes. I feel i need to do this in guilds only, which is a shame for meeting new potential players.

EXTRA: If i could feed anything back up to Blizz...

  • Smaller expansions, split up with more content patches
  • Questing like Diablo with friends, if anything increased xp rather than halfed.
  • Time walking with old raids (AQ, MC, BWL, BT) or time walking permanently not just shot periods. If concerned would get burnt out then put instance locks on!
  • Would love to see Karazhan return 5m ;)

Lets hope the release date is NOT too long now, on the plus side prior WoD xpac i have no alts capped, i now have maxed all classes and other than alt leveling its sadly very stale...

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
