Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Honestly, I'm most excited about the new transmogrification system! Transmog has been one of the main things that has kept me interested in the game because I love being able to customize my character's looks and collecting all the different weapons and armor pieces that are available. The new system gives me even more reason to collect everything I can possibly get, so it will give me more reason to play WoW as well.

As a person who is starting raiding in wow, im looking forward to see, not only in legion but in the upcoming expansions, how blizzard will evolve raiding and (hopefully) bring the old raiding system along with the many improvements in boss design and other things like that.

PS: My best memory in wow was when i finnaly managed to kill Archimonde after many attempts smile.png

I'm really hyped for Legion.  The biggest thing I'm looking forward is the Resto shaman changes, I love the class and want to see how it will work in Legion. I'd like to try it out before release.

I am looking forward to the PVP system.  I hope it brings back the fun of random BGs from vanilla.  I miss when RBGs were fun and worth doing!

I've been playing WoW since Vanilla and I have enjoyed seeing it grow into the game it has become today. I have been excited recently to be able to try out demon hunters because since the day i saw Illidan i have been wanting to be able to play as one. While waiting for Legion to come out I have decided to go mount farming and actually got Ashes Of Alar after only farming for a week. That has to be one of the best moments on WoW for me. I do however have fond memories of tanking Deathwing On Heroic with my Old pally from a long time ago. Because of those memories I was really excited when i saw Ashbringer as an actual artifact to obtain as a pally because i was a very casual player back in Vanilla and BC so I didn't get a chance to do Naxx where there was a chance to get a hold of the corrupted Ashbringer. The idea of Artifacts to me is a decent idea since players wont have to fight over weapons anymore in raids which is what always happened to me back in Wrath whenever i raided. Although the most im excited for is the Lore that is coming with Legion... The idea of what the demon hunters did while we fought in the black temple and the idea of knowing what will happen to the world around us in this next expansion has me going crazy. I've also been waiting for Demon Hunters since Burning Crusade. I always had a gut feeling that they would have been the next Hero Class.

Looking forward to try every single spec of the game! I'm glad they simplified the transmog system as well. Hope the raids and dungeons will be diversified like in Wrath, I have so good memories of my runs with my guild back then!

I'm most excited about the new class features and the new lore improvements. All my favorite characters (Wrathion, Sylvanas, Varian, Bolvar, Anduin, etc) are gonna be there so that's a new part of the storyline that i'm gonna enjoy. :) The new class improvements are also a nice bonus, because I like sticking to my class fantasy (my mains are warlocks, hunters, and paladins and I haven't been disinterested yet).

There are many interesting things coming with Legion. From demon hunters to dungeons and raids. But the thing I am the most hyped about is lore. The story of Warcraft is really immersive. And each expansions is like a book (from series of books) that caught you heart and attention long time ago.

I remember how me and my friends used to sit around the camp fire in old Stranglethorn and talking about different stories in WoW. This started my curiosity about the lore till these days.

Really keen to see whether have found a way to update WoW for a 2016 expansion. The last two have been a little disappointing - some good bits (raids) but some poor questing and updating of content.

That's the key thing I want to see, regular meaningful content updates!!

Oh and how only using one weapon for an entire expansion will feel.

*fingers crossed*

One of the most exciting things for me is the return of the Vrykuls and a whole area dedicated to them! Ever since Wrath, I fell in love head over heels with this race primarily because... who doesn't like Nordic mythology stuff?! In the past, my fondest memories are when I was still a new player to WoW, in late TBC, and I had this Night Elf Druid and I spent more than I'd like to admit simply exploring Darkshore and Ashenvale; they mesmerized me at the time (I was quite young as well), so Val'Sharah is -definitely- going to give me similar vibes again!

I personally didn't dislike Warlords of Draenor, at least not completely. Some ideas were actually pretty amazing, such as flexible raiding and the ingame cinematics for questing.

However, one cannot deny the lack of content since 6.2 launched, so I'm looking forward to Legion, mainly because of the continuation of the story. I'm a dedicated roleplayer, and the storydevelopments in Legion seem to be awesome! Also I didn't play any PvP since Cataclysm, so I'm interested in returning to the front with the new Honor-System.

My best memories of WoW are set in Wrath of the Lichking, where I managed to kill the Lichking with my fellow guildmates. As a former Warcraft III Player this was an amazing moment to share with the people I still play with today!

Oh, and Demon Hunters.

Nuff said!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
