Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Gul'dan must DIE i am so sick of him ruining everything so I just cannot wait to pierce his  fel heart with my bow : Thasdorah Legacy of the Windrunners. In terms of my fondest memories it was quite recent where i began raiding at the leg end of ToT in MoP managed to clear 11/13 h in the one month leading to SoO and then in SoO got through to Garrosh and cleared 13/14h (old) before WoD prepatch dropped. Then in WoD i took a step back and raided heroic as i didnt want to get into mythic and I ended up with full heroics on all tiers of WoD. So my fondest memories lie in MoP when i took the leap from being an lfr noob and started normal raiding all the way to now

As a (graphic) designer myself, every design aspect of the upcoming expansion is interesting to me – from textures to buildings to new ui designs for e.g. the artifact weapons or the new wardrobe system … I'm really looking forward to exploring Legion as a new part of WoW itself.

But I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to being in Dalaran once again. I have very fond memories of WOTLK and my first time raiding and having a guild and playing with new friends/meeting them in Dalaran!

The guild and these friends still last to this day and now I'm ready to start into Legion with all of them and have a great time smile.png

I am most looking forward to Demon hunters, I have been waiting for this class since Burning Crusades. However I love the changes I've seen to the classes and the over all depth that appears to be going into this. I hope they keep on this track.

I like that Blizzard is starting to 'lock down' the lore with books like Chronicle, and it seems the book has quite a bit of synergism with the upcoming expansion. I love the changes to leveling and questing

I'm so excited for an update to the Legendary weapons. I missed having use of Benediction on my priest in Vanilla. I hope the quest chain surrounding the class weapons is as exciting and challenging!

There's a lot to look forward to in Legion, if Blizzard can deliver on what they've outlined so far. I think the artifact system is a really cool idea, to start with. Relying on RNG or PVP (which I usually don't enjoy) to get weapon upgrades has historically been my least favorite - and unluckiest - part of gearing up each expansion. Having your weapon be your weapon, growing in power reliably(.) alongside your character, is going to be awesome. The new challenge mode system is probably my most-anticipated feature. Five-man dungeons have always been my favorite content in WoW, and seeing them become almost entirely irrelevant to character progression in Mists and Warlords has really bummed me out. Being able to gear up in consistently challenging dungeons with a small group sounds extremely exciting to me. Diablo 3's greater rifts are a really fun system, and I'm hopeful that the new CMs can capture some of that magic. Who doesn't want to try out a new class? I have no idea if I'll actually enjoy playing a DH, but I really look forward to finding out

My fondest memory in wow is not even myself playing. I remember watching my brother playing and raiding and giving his main its name which has to be over ten years ago now. Later in life when I started playing we played together, which has to be some of my best moments with my brother.

The thing I am most excited about must be the Changing Room or whatever it is called. I just love organizing and the changes to the transmorg system will appease my OCD.

Well, for my WoW, was the first MMORPG i ever played, my first impression in this amazing world it's just unmatched, this World with huge zones, filled with many types of creatures. The first time i played with a friend, the first time i joined a Guild, the first time i killed a final Boss are unforgettable moments to me, i just can't wait to the new memories that i'll create with my old and new friends

As many out there, I'm looking forward to the release of the demon hunter hero class. Tanking has always been my favorite role in WoW, and having played the other tank specs to death I am really looking forward to a variance in playstyle and mechanics (brewmaster did nothing for me). However - more importantly, and what I'm really looking forward to is the draw Legion is having towards all my old friends who have moved on from WoW or chased other MMO's during Warlords. I have probably 5 - 6 old gaming buddies (going back to Vanilla) that will be coming back to play during Legion. There's just something about a WoW xpac that keeps bringing us back, take that, then throw in Illidan and artifacts? GG

I honestly can't wait to just hang out in the class halls. I've been waiting for a long time for Blizzard to bring class flavor back into the game, and so far Legion looks to be doing exactly that

Congratulations on hitting the 5 year mark Icy Veins. I've used your WoW, HotS and D3 guides a lot in the past, they have been very helpful. One of my favorite memories is leveling through Zangarmarsh on my mage and getting access to Arcane Barrage for the first time with the 51 point talent tree. I'm a bit of an Alt-o-holic so I'm looking forward to trying out all the new changes and figuring out what class I want to main. I'm excited for the PvP changes and artifacts

In terms of gameplay, I'm interested in how they will handle the new CM system to balance it with raiding as it should be its endgame counterpart to lower groups of people. Artifacts are a little bit fan service but it will be interesting to uncover the way they will get rid of them when moving into the next expansion

I'm looking forward to all the new cat forms with the Feral Artifact. Especially the white primal one, I'm really hoping to get that. My favourite moment in WoW so far is when I actually started to raid in MoP, even though I'd played since vanilla I never really started actually raiding until Siege of Orgrimmar, so actually being in a raid team and doing it every week and progressing was one of my favourite moments.

First of all, I am most excited about the PvP talents, and seeing where the monk class is headed to (playstyle wise). I've been playing monk since release, going through good and bad times. My fondest memory would be hitting 2600 in 3s durimg WoDs first season, my first season I ever participated in and I hope to achieve even higher ratings in the future. Playing Legion to get an early preview would be great to find my class' niche. Also, seeing what I am cappable of to do with my character would allow me to have some great PvP moments come Legion. Ever since I played WoW for the first time in TBC, Illidan became my favourite lore character. Seeing how the demon hunter class shapes up in PvP would be interesting to experience first hand, instead of watching streams. Thanks for the giveaway, there may not be many keys, but I do hope to get one

I'm a lore nerd, so I'm mainly looking forward to the new questlines in Legion. So far they've been getting better and better with each expansion.  Also artifact weapons, new combat animations, demon hunters, pvp revamp, dungeons/raids, class changes, and probably a bunch of other things I can't remember off the top of my head

I am really looking forward to Legion. But besides that I think this is going to be a "bend of brake" kind of situation. If this expansion disappoints players as much as WoD did I think a lot of players will leave the game. But I have good hope that the next expansion will be a good one, it looks great from what I have seen so far. And can't wait to dive in the new content

Personally I am very much looking forward to the return of class quests artifact chains.Of course none of it will be any good compared to the glorious vanilla days which I can remember with perfect clarity. Even the 6man UBRS run my guild did when I was very drunk one night and where my warlocks attempts at providing cc mostly resulted in feared mobs pulling the next two packs

I'm glad most of them are getting big overhauls to refresh the decisions tanks make about resource expenditure.  Plus Demon Hunters, who isnt excited about that. It'll be interesting to see how all these massive class overhauls affect people and the way they currently play. Will they continue, pick a new class, or stop altogether

I've got to say, when it comes to Legion, the thing I'm most excited about is the attention being placed on class fantasy. The new transmog system looks fantastic, as does the new PVP system, but with the return of class quests and rebalancing of classes I can really get stuck into the world again.

My most fond moment in WoW would be when I was initiated into my RP guild as a full member. I had to work hard for it with various tasks and trials being completed prior to the ceremony, and the sense of accomplishment was amazing.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
