Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I would have to say that I'm most hyped for demon hunters and the class order halls. (My main is a mage and that mage order hall is absolutely stunning.)Then my fondest memory would have to be when I was pugging BoT with a couple of friends and we ended up wiping a lot, but we had so much fun doing so. We took our time, had a few laughs, it was great. We still only got the first boss down though haha

A lot of people with just 1 post.  I'm looking forward to Legion because it reminds me of The Burning Crusade expac, which was my first. We had this little guild with friends and tried to level up together. We started when the expac was released and hit 70 when Black Temple was open.Still, we managed to go heroics, eventually Kharazan and Hyjal, cleared the content step by step and kept playing. After a while everyone left the game. Now, what I'm looking forward to is that everyone of my friends from the past will be back with Legion. We'll make a guild again, we'll try raiding, in our own paste. I wish I could login to the alpha and test out what class to play.

I am really looking forward to keeping the same weapon through the entire expansion and just upgrading it, so it becomes more and more powerful instead of just changing weapons every time a better one drops. The transmog system is also fantastic, it will save me and plenty of other players massive amounts of bag space. Those two features will have to be my favourite features that will be in Legion. Getting killed by a boss, without actually dying was/is the best mechanic that has ever happened to me. I absolutely love the Lich King encounter. He is the first villain that actually proves that he is better than us players. The only reason we actually defeat him is because of "the Light" which is some sort of deity and that is why the Lich King will always be my favourite villain and my most treasured memory in WoW

I'm most looking forward to the changes to my main spec, Balance Druid, and trying out revamped specs like Demonology Warlock. My favorite memories come from leveling with a group of friends on our new undead toons

Looking forward to play my Hunter again after I left out the last addon. I like the new legendary talent system, and looking forward how it evolves and becomes permanent part of WoW. Also looking forward in lvling my character to max level then do PvP, it's the most part of the game, always was, always will be.

While I'm intrigued by the Artifact Weapons, my main interest is the Transmog system being brought in. Should make old dungeons/raids more frequented

I've wanted to play Demon Hunter for a very long time. I love the lore behind them. Now I'm finally getting the chance in Legion!

I am super psyched to see what Legion will bring for us to explore, create, destroy, and experience. The artifacts seem like a very cool addition, but with such additions as Ashbringer, it makes me wonder what might happen in subsequent expansions - like will we continue on with upgrading these artifacts? That might get stale and be boring. On the flip side, however, will we just discard it unceremoniously and move on to something else? That seems like a sad inevitable fate for such a significant item. I wonder what everyone else thinks? Also, has Icy Veins ever considered doing Challenge Mode guides? I recently got into those, and it has been a blast. We didn't really mind coming up with our own strategies, but at times we had to build on others. It would be nice to have a reliable, centralized source. I can't wait to see what Legion may bring in the form of new challenges

I'm looking forward to the customization of artifact weapons, and the new zones look amazing. I hope the dungeons are really a big part of the expansion, as they look really spectacular as well. I remember when I first hit max level in a dungeon. I hadn't even noticed until my friend had pointed it out, and I flipped out. Hopefully I can make some awesome memories with this expac too!

I can't wait for the transmog tab so my banks aren't always full, and super excited for Demon Hunters, the closest thing I have is the Diablo 3 demon hunter. And some good memories of WoW are running old raids and such with my guild members because we just mess around, and it's pretty great.

I'm looking forward to the new class and all of the artifact weapons in Legion. I also want to see the changes in some of the classes along with seeing what the raids are like.

The memory that I remember the most is getting to max level for the first time on my priest.  I had never had a max level until then and I always remember it because it was super late at night.

I'm thrilled to see the new dungeons. One of my favorite experiences with WoW especially is seeing a dungeon for the first time and trying to work together with my group to take down the bosses, and I can't wait to see what the developers have in store for dungeons

Like a million other roleplayers I'm super stoked over transmog gear AND as an old atonement disc priest, I REALLY missed it. I was one of the people who asked to please be able to hide shoulders.

I am looking forward to the changes of Protection Warrior.  It looks like a lot of fun.

My favorite past memory was defeating Heroic Archimonde with our guild for the first time.

From the looks of it this will be a great expansion. who doesn't want to see a huge burning legion invasion. I really want to see how order halls turn out along with the artifact weapons. This seems to be a great expansion in the making

I had so much fun playing as a ret paladin over the years, but those new kittycat druid forms make me give up on the Ashbringer.

And I'm also looking forward to the bestest Tmog for my Demon Hunter, too laugh.png

Im really excited where they are going lorewise including all of the artifact storytelling as well as the artifact customization, looks super cool. It was a bit past release so was essentially an alt run but I miraculously was able to acquire both Core Hound Tooth AND Perdition's Blade on my rogue in my first Molten Core ever, It felt surreal

I'm really looking forward to exploring the new zones on the broken isles, especially Suramar and Highmountain. My fondest memory of WoW so far was questing through Kun-lai Summit, my favorite zone in the game, for the first time

I am personally super stoked for legion. I was seriously let down by the release of WoD. I am a little concerned with the fact they are keeping the garrison system in the game though. But I have been a serious PvE player since BC and do like what i've seen from the raid testing(Except the cake boss). But i am excited for how tanking looks

I'm honestly pretty excited about the piratish look of outlaw rogues and the leveling system of artefact weapons.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
